Ewan McGregor has embarked on monumental motorcycle journey from London to Cape Town, South Africa, in a bid to raise money for charity. He has already arrived in Italy with friend Charley Boorman - on the first leg of their trip, dubbed Long Way Down. The pair completed a similar adventure in 2004 from Scotland to New York via Europe and Asia, which was made into 'Long Way Round' documentary. McGregor and Boorman will pass through 20 countries including many areas plagued with poverty, violence and civil strife. They hope to raise funds for UNICEF, the Children's Hospice Association Scotland and the charity Riders For Health - which supports motorcycle-riding health workers in Africa. Happy Biking!







Sarah Jessica Parker has admitted that she is disgusted by the behaviour of young US stars. The actress claimed that there is now far too much attention seeking in Hollywood and she thinks it is "vulgar". "I am very distressed by the sensationalism of everything," Parker said. "People are getting attention for doing nothing, for behaving poorly, for abusing themselves in public and being abused, exploiting themselves. I find it vulgar and I find it awful." Perhaps she doesn't understand the other side of the coin where the public love to know what these young kiddos are up to off camera.

Hugh Jackman is planning to 'rough it' on a family vacation this summer when he takes his family backpacking in the Australian outback. The actor is taking off for three-and-a-half months when the current filming in Australia has wrapped. He told People Mag, "I'm bringing the whole kit and caboodle up and we're doing a three-and-a-half month adventure in the outback. At times we'll be in tents, we'll be out on Aboriginal land, there'll be crocodiles. My son just turned seven, my daughter is almost two - she'll forget it, but my son never, ever will. I'm thrilled I have a wife who's up for it." A good family man he is.




Mischa Barton was recently rushed to the hospital after suffering an adverse reaction to medication. Sources tell TMZ that the former "OC" star was at a friend's Memorial Day BBQ enjoying a few holiday cocktails when she began to feel extremely ill. Mischa, who has been quite sick with bronchitis since traveling to Cannes, London and Paris the past several weeks, apparently didn't get the memo - you can't drink alcohol while taking antibiotics! The star was rushed to an undisclosed medical facility in Los Angeles, where we are told she is "resting comfortably." A rep for Barton said that the starlet is with family and "feeling much better." Another life lesson for this woman.

Lindsay Lohan has been arrested after her car struck a kerb in the US, and investigators found what they believe is cocaine at the scene, police said. She suffered minor injuries in the accident. Her Mercedes SL-65 crashed on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles about 5.30am on Saturday. The two other people in her car were not hurt. Lohan was ultimately placed under arrest" for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Liam Gallagher has reportedly treated his brother Noel to a $214,000 trip to space for his 40th birthday. They were celebrating the guitarist's birthday at London nightclub Kitts last weekend, when Liam presented his elder sibling with the extravagant gift. But Noel will have to wait until 2012 to enjoy his trip on board Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipOne. An onlooker says, "It was quite funny when Liam gave Noel the documents.
