Denial Twist

Ahh...Venus Vs Maria. That should be a cracker semi-final. Davenport Vs Mauresmo is the other semi.

I like "Co-Star". One of the most melodious tunes from The Tears. Don't really paid much attention to the rest at this moment. It should be in the class of "Raga" which means = repeat * 1,000,000...

From the white stripes album, standout tracks include The Nurse, Instinct Blues and Take Take Take. Very innovative of them to use marimbas, maracas and piano this time round. One has to be very free and open in order to accept their new installment. First time hearing The Nurse, I was like "?????". But then, slowly it made some sense and became hooked on it. Instinct Blues is so garage-y especially when Meg smacks the drums in sync with the guitar hooks. Take Take Take is just different and cool...no drums too.

Pleasantly surprised that Noel has gone latin with the opening of Importance of Being Idle. A crowd favorite potential. Other standout tracks include Mucky Fingers, Let There Be Love, Guess God Thinks I'm Abel & Part of The Queue. At least the gang is now more interested in proper rock & roll. That is not to say S.o.t.s.o.g and
H.Chemistry are flops. Whoever said S.o.t.s.o.g was a failure are afraid to accept another dimension of the group. You don't go wrong with Gas Panic, Who Feels Love, F..kin in the Bushes, etc. H.C brought out Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Born on a Different Cloud and Hindu Times. It's just that the rest of the album showed a laziness to put more effort in songwriting. Don't Believe The Truth has five standout tracks for now. It ain't no Morning Glory or D.Maybe, but it showed that they want to conquer again. No more sitting back..

---What is the best John Grisham book?---

"The simple fact is that it takes women on average 12 mins and men two-and-a-half mins. Adjusting to that imbalance is a test."
Hmm, 2.5 sounds embarassing yah...

Akon's Lonely is a brilliant track. It reminded me of how Shaggy would sound like if he sings in proper english without the accent. The chipmunk chorus is very cute too.

Without sounding smug, moi needs to find the lost mojo. Why that has to happen, not too sure..a new rush maybe. The triathlon event this weekend sounds nice. Think can just pop in for the last 10km run since registration is over. Liberation party is on Sat though. Just have to see who coax me better to join which activity; a slacker mode in tune now.

Survivor Kaobehkaobu Episode Five
Last week on..Survivor. After Celine has been eliminated, Malu-Malu members made fun of her antics. It seemed that the move paid dividends as the tribe grew closer. Andrea was glad that she did not get voted off.
Andrea : "Would my time come soon?"
MissyE : "You do what you need to do, dear"
At Zho-Bo Lan, Shania & Blondie conspired a plan to get rid of the strong and powerful members, namely Robbie and 50. StevenT agreed that those two are good enough to win consecutive individual immunity in the future.
The reward challenge required both tribes to engage in a flying fox race. The determination of Malu-Malu was no match for the sheer power of Zho-Bo Lan. A large barrel containing clean water was sent to them.
Fran & Liam felt that Vanilla might not a loyal player, having seen him switch sides now and then. MissyE wants Belinda and Vanilla to keep an eye on Fran & Liam, who she suspect may try to get Andrea to join them in a 3 on 3 situation.
At the immunity challenge, the teams played out a blindfold and puzzle solving game. Due to a minor mistake by MissyE, Zho-Bo Lan emerged victorious.
Belinda asked Andrea who she wants out next, but got no clear response. Vanilla told MissyE & Belinda that it is best to take Fran out. Liam told MissyE that the tribe would be better off without Vanilla as he has been telling Fran that he wants her to go next.
At the tribal council, many stories came out regarding who said what. In the end, MissyE decided to believe Liam and voted Vanilla out of the game.

Jeff : "Vanilla, the tribe has spoken."
Vanilla : *Shakes head*

Black Jack

New releases :

The Kills - Love Is a Deserter
Garbage - Sex Is Not The Enemy
Sons and Daughters - Dance Me In
Timo Maas - First Day (feat B.Molko)
The Knife - Pass This On

The Kills is somewhat similar to The Raveonettes & Jesus and Mary Chain. Am very impressed with their latest track, the intended pause in the middle of the song was done perfectly. Maybe they learned it from 'Hard to Explain'? You will soon be repeating "get the guns out..get the guns out". Not advisable to watch the video after a hearty meal; the changing scenes moves like a washing machine.

The Knife has a distinct kinda feel, like what you get from listening to The Cardigans. The video potrayed a lady singing to bunch of curious men in a room. A melodious tune is being played whenever she stopped singing. Would be exploring more from this interesting group.

Haven't listened to the new Garbage album and not totally into their singles from it. Until this new track came about. Shirley laboured on about "A resolution.. is not the solution". She also gets dragged away from security for exposing too much on stage.. Had a nice feel to it, bringing back the groove of Adrogyny & Cherry Lips.

Timo Maas has worked with Placebo before, notably on the remix of Special K. Now, Brian guests on this new song. I think they borrowed a part from DoomsNight, that track used on a phone commercial ad. Very nicely done to incorporate many different sounds into one song.

Sons and Daughters are from Glasgow. The lady sound like a Shirley singing a fast version of Shania Twain's country hit. Imagine a rodeo get-together, all hand clapping and simple guitar hooks. She keeps repeating "just dance me in", but won't get you tired from singing along.

I hope Craig & Maria or Leah & Roberto wins the million. Can't stand that Randy. He has a big attitude problem. Basically that boy is a childish, spoilt brat. How Tina is able to withstand him I don't know. Andre & Amirah could go far if they have more focus on future stunts. I like the determination of Roberto. That guy is cool.

Two most important dates next year :
02 Jan 2006 - Arsenal v Man Utd
08 Apr 2006 - Man Utd v Arsenal

Would like to see Vieira & Park Jeeeeee Sooo-uuuung kicking each other. Any other new bloodshed incidents are also welcomed.

Wonder who started this "timing" for marriage thingy. You know, egs like - 2nd Feb 2002 = 02/02/02 , 20th Mar 2003 = 20.03.2003
Not long ago, a celebrity even waited for 20:05pm on 20th May 2005 to sign on the dotted line. All because it is easier to remember. Hmm.. how the hell can one forget their date of marriage? Unless of course you have a few wives that came on a different timeline or you worry that you would remarry again in the future for some unforseen reasons. Well, as long as both parties are loyal to each other till the end. A new beginning of happiness? Another chapter in life some might say.

Mr Brown : Can anyone pronounce this?
Ranjeet : I know! The British Is-less(Isles)!!!
Mr Brown : ........

Ali : I spy with my little eye something beginning with the letter "N"
Giovanni : There isn't anything here that begins with "N"!!
Mr Brown : Yes Ali. We all can't find that thing you spotted. What is it?
Ali : N-gine!

Something Beautiful

Happiness. Do you have it?

Prolonging it. Are you able to?

Changes. Can you cope with it?

Comparisons are always imminent. You compare that 'W' leads a better life, 'H' is lucky to be in a good environment, 'Q' easily gets the person she wants. Does that provide one with the drive to pursue what is missing/lacking? Possibilities, chances, obstacles. It's a matter of what comes and goes, inclusive of the individual to grab it when the iron is still hot.

Regrets. Come on. Do you know when it is time to chunk it to one side, learn and become wiser? Some people are not able to control anger, thus pursuing the wrong moves and has regrets. Self-control must be cultivated if one wants to play the right cards.

Hahahaha...it's kinda fun talking a lot of crap to those that are able to withstand them. Sad to say, there are a couple who aren't able to be on the same wavelength when i'm on a 'roll'. It's alright, not everyone likes fast food..

Go Let It Out

Mental block. Tuned out of this world. These things happen sometimes and it's hard to explain why so. Your mind just draws out a "Blank" board, leaving one with absolutely nothing to work with. No ideas or anything seems to pop out from the brain. Sometimes when you're doing something and suddenly one important matter came to mind. That is when you are being 'lost' in another world. Then you tune back into the real world and you realised that you are 'away' for a while.

Vintage rock. Not exactly a personal favorite but it's listenable once per month. Was exposed to it recently by a few of me ol' mates. Bands like Scorpions, Def Leppard, Skid Row, Firehouse, Van Halen, INXS, etc come to mind. They had their fun. Guess should be mostly those uncles who still favour this culture up till now.

~~~~~~~
I really want tonight to last forever
I really wanna be with you..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Namie Amuro is a special talent. A quarter-italian blooded lady. Somehow, her r n b songs are able to make me got hooked...can be said she's got her own style. Good songs would include So Crazy, Namie Style and Shine More. Do check them out yah.

Speaking of which, jap music is a good culture. Personal favorites would include the likes of Da Pump, Speed, Every Little Thing, Chemistry, Do As Infinity, Emi Fujita, etc. The pronunciation and their beats make a good combination. They are unafraid to break the trend and emulate the success of the western counterparts.

The Tears "Lovers" got a fantastic feel to it. You can hear shades of Suede and the music video is very simplistic too. Dangerous contender to be an overplayed track in the coming months, not which i'm unhappy about of course.

There is a new cool invention of spectacles that will automatically change into shades when exposed to sunlight. Darn it. I can't remember the brand. Gotta check it out.

The un-conventional method. It is more fun that way. Cliches do get boring. The element of surprise is what makes one yearning for more. If you want my autobiography, baby..just ask me.

Dreamt of me dear sis. Having a great time hanging out, laughing, cuddling, all those silly stuff. Wonder what that meant. Smile like you mean it....

Babyshambles new single 'Fuck Forever' is a very nice track. The music starts with a one guy talking to a lady at a ticket counter then it went to the main scene where Pete and gang were at some run-down garage prancing around, wearing suits and hats. Will be released as a single in late July.

The Doves are coming here next month me heard. A good band but not one that warrants a "must-see" type. Should have a decent crowd for those indie fanatics. Their two songs that are brilliant would be Pounding & Last Broadcast.

Need to slowly start the Franz Ferdinand hype again. The band played five previously unreleased songs in their concerts early this year - Your Diary, This Boy, Wee Andy, Evil Heathen & I’m Your Villain. I really like This Boy..knew that is has some 'Pulp' influences into it but unsure from which era. Am currently awaiting for their new album, reportedly in Sept. Disco-funk rock is good for your health.

Clampdown

Survivor Kaobehkaobu Episode Four
Last week on..Survivor. Zho-Bo Lan returns to camp in a moody environment. Hillary and AliG were
unhappy that the tribe did not eliminate Blondie but chose to get rid of Jessie.
AliG : "That is not right you see. Jessie is the wrong choice to go first. I don't dig that"
Robbie : "You need to the look at the bigger picture. Blondie can be used as a pawn next time, bro."
AliG : "I hope you right dude"
At Malu-Malu, Celine still did not get the message that she should be contributing a little workload if she wants to stay in the game. MissyE demanded that Celine do a simple chore, which caused a huge rift between them. Liam warned Andrea that she should hide that "nice girl" character if she were to survive longer, which got her thinking that she might be a future target. The reward challenge was tiring mentally, with both tribes needing memory retention skills to pick out the right coloured blocks from the huge maze. Zho-Bo Lan won it with good teamwork and was given tools to build a bigger and stronger shelter.
Malu-Malu members were not happy about losing it, which got MissyE and Celine into more arguments. Vanilla, Fran and Belinda pondered on whether to get rid of Celine or Andrea.
At the immunity challenge, both tribes engaged in a gladiator style one-on-one circle fight.
Zho-Bo Lan had no problem dismissing their opponents and won immunity.
Liam & Fran discussed the pros and cons of removing Andrea, Celine or Missy E. Vanilla wants Celine out but also had no problems if the rest chose Andrea to go.
At the tribal council, Celine became the next victim to leave the game.
Jeff : "Celine, the tribe has spoken. Time for you to go."
Celine : "Bye."

Kaobehkaobu contestants - Final 13

Has been a month since I've been blogging. Didn't know that me could come out with many ideas and thoughts whilst reading back on the old posts. And it's kinda fun to check out other good, interesting blogs to see their style and thoughts. The phenomenon is quite scary to say the least.

Mr & Mrs Smith. Many people said it's a cool show but I'll give it a miss. Don't like that Jolie woman. Don't even think she is any kind of babe. Furthermore, she ruined Aniston's happiness and that is simply not cool.

Have you been a matchmaker before? Formal or informal, I might add. Used to do a lot of matchmaking back in school. Kinda fun to see that two of ya buddies whom you introduced to became an item, be it a short or long term. It's like winning a soccer bet. Speaking of which, betting can be a very dangerous hobby if one is not careful with it. Seen some mates who are extremely obsessed that they can just throw a few K on one match and of course, lost. Bottomline is, bet on something that you can afford to lose.

Nice to see these kiddies doing the School of Rock thingy. Showcased how it's not just the 'Idols' that get the limelight. Also kind of fun seeing their dress sense, of which I don't think they would dare to wear on a normal day in town. All in the name of stage presence yah?

Ashley has proposed to Cheryl. A lucky man. Hope the band still stays intact with her. They deserved a few more albums me thinks.

Korobushka

Stalkers. Ever experienced one? Ever been one? The reasons people stalk should be because (1) Having secret admirations for the particular individual. (2) They are spies paid to see what is going on in a person's private life (3) Paparazzi needing news should one be a famous/infamous icon.

Some people have mastered "the art of stalking" in one way or another. Getting to know what is going on behind someone's back may be a good or bad thing. Good in a sense that you know what the person is like in their private lives and bad because if you get caught, you'll be in deep shite. Suspicious husbands/wives may want to engage on spies to check whether their spouse has been having secret affairs. And of course the paparazzi always have their crew in the "right places" to bring us exclusive news.

The Bravery is coming to town soon. Having known about it in January this year, it does not surprise me that they have achieved success in the 'new-wave' rock scene. What is disturbing is that one local band, Electrico, will be the opening act. Hope they don't make a mess and embarass the main playing band.

The Departure has finally released their long awaited album, "Dirty Words". Been hooked on it since August 2004 when All Mapped Out was making it's music video debut. Skeptics dismissed them as a poor mans' Interpol and Franz. Well, how wrong were they. They released two more singles Be My Enemy and Lump in My Throat. And they toured in Japan...lucky %*#$(*Y@)#. The new album contains so many superb tracks I don't even know where to start. All are unique in their own way. Personally, I hope Only Human & Changing Pilots will be the future singles. They have deep jangling basslines and drums which is jamiroquai-ish that challenges the listener to stay still and not move with the grooves. Add that to the quintessential vocals, a masterpiece group is formed. Brett Anderson himself is a big fan of this band. Can't get any better than that ya..

Apparently, Liam is a big fan of "Feel Good Inc". Everyone knows about the rivalry of the 90s between him and Damon. During one of the big marathon concerts, when Gorillaz finished playing behind their usual cartoonish projection screens, Liam was asking Damon whether he's still there. And he said "Yah".. "Gotta go now". Damn cute manz the behaviour of these two big boys.

One artiste was so irate knowing "Ok Computer" was voted the best rock album of all time that he proclaimed that Thom has a "cabbage eye" due to staring at the computer screen too much when he was a kid. LMAO...

Bipolar Disorder - The high part of the mood is called "mania" (often times a euphoria) and the low part of the mood is depression. A bipolar person may feel a little down or up about an event in their lives, just as a normal person would, but unlike a normal person who would easily be able to shift their mood, a bipolar person would not be able to shift their mood easily. Their mood may intensify until it becomes a full-blown mania or a clinical depression at that point their mood could be "stuck" until it cycles again.

That is dangerous. Before anything else, one needs to learn how to be happy and positive in any situation. Not safe when this bipolar thingy takes control and eats your soul. Even when against all odds, it is always good find a solution that enables one to prevent the syndrome from creeping in.

~~~~~
We'd go out and get forties
Then we go to some party.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sarah Connor's new single "From Zero To Hero" is a very upbeat track...kinda like the early Aguilera.

Mel C & Mel B shouldn't have bothered producing new albums. The current pop music scene is totally out of their league now. Go marry some rich dude and settle down. Save us the trouble from hearing more crap.

How long do you spend checking yourself in the toilet? Was shocked to know some guys who spend about 20-30mins making sure their hairstyle, clothings, muscle, face, pose, smile, (make-up??) are in good order. That is extreme and beyond. The most I would spend is about 5-8mins. Why take a bloody long time in a loo? Unless of course if you aspire to be a 'Depp' or 'Keanu' clone and always felt something is not physically right then maybe it's normal...

If you really need to eat at night, avoid carbohydrate at all costs. Bread, biscuits and rice are bad choices. Try to take protein at night, chicken breast, tuna, etc.

Domino Dancing

Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney. The third guy embarrassed the Batman legacy. Val looks like the twin of The Doors' Jim Morrison. Keaton looks the best person to wear that famous outfit on the big screen. The new installment should be interesting though. On tv, Adam West is untouchable...(lalalalalalalalala...)

Wolfgang won. *Whoppie*

---Who let the dogs out?---

Hot gossip. It's everywhere. Would you rather be an average joe or someone well known in an organization? Maybe the benefits of being a nobody is that there won't be roving eyes on your every move whereas an individual that is more famous in the area may suffer in ways that is unknown. How? Any suspicious moves and stories will erupt, which may lead to bad repercussions. Well, who cares what people think if one's conscience is crystal clear. Some people apparently have too much time focusing on things that does not affect their lives. Maybe of course, the green-eyed monster came out and from that, the idea of gossip and story telling occurs.
Eat your heart out, these shoes were not meant for ya. *half-evil laughs*

At the rate the national team import foreigners to blend with the squad, there would enough to create an all-star first 11 within the next couple of years. Since the locals can't do the job, so what the heck yah?

Technology is moving fast. Next time, when you press a code on your mobile, your washing machine at home will activate the full system functions from washing to dry-spin. Another code will tell your dvd recorder to start recording the last episode of Charmed and also Letterman's. A microchip might also be inserted in your husband/wife so that you will be informed beforehand how their day has been through the 'mind-diary' print out, thus would be easier to understand how their day went...

Wonder what happened to Rollerjam..It's kinda like wwe but on rollerskates. They have different teams with their own colours and identity. There is a storyline everyweek and somehow they will always know when to 'allow' a team to win a particular game. You can see people doing piledrivers, body slams, etc whenever the clock starts ticking down to the last 30secs. They somehow would never get headaches from spinning round n round. Remembered that there was one cute gal from the california quakes who is me fav..can't rem the name though..

------Do you go through your life unthinking??-----

It's so comical to hear the music authorities speak out about the plight of people who can't extract their fav songs from the copy-controlled cds. They suggested that since it can't be extracted into their pcs, they can always visit the local mp3 database site to purchase their favourite tracks. That is crazy. One has legally bought a cd and he has to buy the mp3 version to plant it into the Pc? *shakes head*

Moby is boring. His music is only good for commercials.

To those peeps who aspire to be a model :
A bit of cockiness is okay but you cannot have the notion of "I've gotta be the man."
It doesn't work that way in this industry. It's about the photographer, it's about the client..You are the last thing in line.

Medusa's Path

Tatu is making a comeback in the near future. After disagreements in the early part of this year, they finally got their act together and now currently in the studios to complete their second album. Me favs are "All The Things She Said", "30 minutes" & "Not Gonna Get Us". Interesting duo to say the least, lesbians or not.

After their Sept concert, D-Child are gonna call it quits and will pursue their own solo careers. About time they do so. Their magic of 99-01 disappeared when they regrouped last year. "Oh oh, oh oh"...that is a disturbing tune. The Jumpin2 & Bills3 era are gone...

*Saaaaaaaaaaaay...all i wanna do is rock... Oh..*

Ash is a very good band. Dug out their 96-02 records and noticed that they have a special quality about them. Fantastic hits include "Sometimes", "Candy", "Goldfinger", "Burn Baby Burn", "Oh Yeah" and "Wild Surf".

----Have you bomis today?----

Rachel Stevens new song "So Good" is very impressive. Has the Kylie-ish beats and that speaks volumes about the track. Will be out in early July.

Do you believe in the supernatural? At me old place during childhood days, there were very 'unclean' events.
First was one of me siblings who saw me oldest bro sitting on the couch combing his hair one day in the afternoon. But she found out a while later on that he was actually working at that time and backtracked to the living room...guess what? No one there... There is this one term about a spirit who imitate a human being and played out the same routine like sitting around, standing at one corner, etc. just for a moment in time. And it is called Dopplegangers
One of me other bro spoke about a bad incident when he was still young and playfully kicked the chinese offerings that was laid out on the floor. Since then, he was being 'haunted' in his dreams every night until some priest came over to cure him. So people, lesson learned here.

Lost - Not overly impressed by this new series. So about 40 plus people are stranded on an island after a plane crash. Very weird happenings on the island. Think will just check out a few more episodes to see why it is so highly rated.

The SPG blog saga is as lame as J.Jackson's slip incident. Must be the jokers who cannot endure seeing local boops complaining by the hundreds till the newspapers have no choice but to report about it to the public. And the Crazy Horse gang will be coming here soon...

Do you drink and drive? Apparently there is one new technology that will prevent the car from starting if the system detects the driver to be unsuitable and unsafe to operate the wheels. If all cars were to have this innovative system in the future, the carparks around the clubs will be full till the morning light.
Patrick : "Oh, no. The stupid car don't let me drive again. I need one of you to take over."
Other friends : "Dude, if you can't drive..what makes you think we ALL can?"
Patrick : "Hmm..another sleepover in here i guess.."

Barely Legal

Survivor Kaobehkaobu Episode Three
Last week on..Survivor. After returning to camp from tribal council, Malu-Malu had a get-together to discuss on how to improve their strategies on future challenges. Vanilla suggested to MissyE that they should build an alliance and remove the stronger players like Liam and Fran. Andrea and Belinda felt that Celine is not contributing much in terms of daily chores so she should be a good target in future tribal councils. At the Zho-Bo Lan tribe, Robbie admits to StevenT and Blondie that he is getting sick of hearing Jessie's moaning about the living conditions.
Robbie : "That lady is a complain queen. Must be from a pampered background."
Ali G told Hillary that she looked much tougher than he thought. Shania and 50 discussed about how things can be better if they had scuba diving skills to catch the fishes.
In the reward challenge, Malu-Malu worked together to raise their flag first in a daunting task and won themselves fishing and scuba equipments.
Zho-Bo Lan wondered what went wrong and vowed to come back stronger. At the second immunity challenge, they clearly showed how dominant they can be but a slip by Blondie contributed to their loss.
Jeff : "Malu-Malu wins their first immunity!"
StevenT and Robbie highlighted that it was all not Blondie's fault and gathered 50 and Shania to remove Jessie from the game. AliG and Hillary though wanted Blondie to go as she should not have fallen that easily.
At the tribal council, Blondie was spared as the tribe voted Jessie out of the game.
Jeff : "Jessie, the tribe has spoken. Time for you to go."
Jessie : "Take care guys!" *teary-eyed*

Kaobehkaobu contestants - Final 14

"You got to move on". Wa lah! That is one of the toughest things a person can experience after being stuck for so long being in heaven with an old partner. Why is it so hard to let go? Is it the fear of never being able to replicate that same passion again? Based on observations, people tend to admit that it is extremely difficult to let go of something that was panned out so beautifully and opening up a new chapter can be daunting. That has led to sad repercussions which only serves the fact that this is all part and parcel of the package. Had good mates who were so over the moon at one point of their lives only to be ruined dramatically thanks to the tragic ending of a lovely journey with a 'someone'. The effect may hurt a little to strong minded individuals but then not all are. That is why people should accept the way things went and see that the glass is never empty, only half-full. It has been said that when you see the eyes of the one you think will be your "other half" forever, you see God. How true is that? All that can be said is...definitely maybe.

Muahaha...liked the part where Eminem used a puppet dog and spoke to Lindsay Lohan who was at her seat. "I promised I will not fall asleep again when I watch your movies a second time"; "You have been making a lot of remakes, Freaky Friday...whats next? Glitter?". Immediately he went on stage to sing a very interesting song followed by the fantastic Mockingbird. Even Kutcher don't dare to 'Punk' that rapper as he had too much respect for him. The thought of Elton John and Barbara Streisand openly admitting their concerns over him irks the hell out of me. "eeeeeyucks". Stick to your gay partner and your old-folks categories please.

Not too sure why people wants to be acquainted with Ms Xiaxue. She looks like the female version of me ex classmate who had the nickname "Son of a pig". The funny thing was, he accepted that description. And he's a good guy in me eyes, though had a lot of childish quarrels with the rest.

Office Romance. Is it safe? Should it kept secret? From what I heard, some companies had a ruling that collegues are not to be involved in this. That is like saying, you can sit at a buffet table but you can only smell the food when you are seated. Well there is nothing wrong as long as work is not compromised. The bad thing is when it clashes with daily work after the romance had ended in a distasteful manner. You can't escape from not seeing one another from then on. That's where the seniors have their worries upon.

Franz's intro for "Come On Home" has some resemblance to The Strokes' "Raga" solo riff.

Not impressed by the current Gwen Stefani music philosophy. Whats up with the 3 or 4 "invisible" jap girls following her everywhere? Her best days were in No Doubt...with cool hits like Don't Speak and Spiderweb.
Now whenever me saw her whatever Rollerback mtv...the remote control is always being used.

Eva Mendes is a stone cold stunner. Just happened to take notice of this actress on a magazine lately...not too sure who she was but knew that I've seen her before in a movie few years back. Happened to be in the show "Desperado". Also acted in 2 fast 2 furious, which is not me cup of tea kinda show. Looked latin but was actually born in Florida...reaction to her biography pages was *loss for words* and then *big smile*.

Don't understand the culture of Desperate Housewives. First of all, the casts are boring. From the "past-by-due-date" Teri Hatcher to the supremely overrated Eva Longoria, the concept of the show doesn't bring anything interesting. And the local tv company here un-shamefully used the "Sex and the City" jingle to promote D.H for it's upcoming first episode. Just coz it's the 'next-best-thing' that is legally allowed to be shown on tv doesn't mean they have to stoop so low for the promotion ad. D.H can never be able to match S.a.t.C in terms of storyline and adult humour factor. Who cares about Ms J eyeing the hunky neighbour next door? Anyways I don't even know what is happening after watching the pathetic season opener. S.a.t.C never fails to impress.

Speaking of which, The OC is another *yaaawwn*. The only reason I bother to watch it was when Samaire Armstrong played a "minor" role in it. Now that she is no more around, there is nothing worthy to view. Think it's trying to be the new-wave Beverly Hills.

I've always wondered why "Your Disco Needs You" was not released as a single. That was as good as CGYOOMH though YDNY is very 70s whereas the latter is more of a futuristic theme.

Do you sometimes have dreams that was badly interrupted because the bloody alarm clock went off or the urge to visit the loo was unbearable? Then, you will be cursing and try to go back to sleep to "continue" that scene but it never materialize... Always wondered if it was in colour or black n white.

Purple Pills

Burn love handles in 30 days. This book I'm currently reading contains very good information to lose that kangaroo pouch. It only takes 3 workout regimes per week and proper eating habits. But the techniques for the running portion are extremely tough. You've got to exert close to 90% of your max heart rate at some point, which is derived from deducting your age from 220. It also includes proper gym routines to only target that sexy area.

Finally I've understood the meaning and direction of Blue Orchid. And it is already under the 'repeat-till-infinity-and-won't-get-bored' category. The concept is so bloody simple and effective. I salute to this fantastic duo.

Now Ashley Cole is reportedly an "unpopular" figure in the Highbury ranks. And Juve were told that they can have him for 15Mil whereas Real Madrid are stalling for another season before they replace Carlos with Cole. It's so funny that the london clubs are feuding amongst one another.

Paris Hilton is a beauty? Hmm...I don't think so. She's just average looking but has extremely high seduction level that allows her to do whatever she wants and gets away with it.. Apparently, she wanted 5mil(????) to be part of the new cast in Big Brother but was declined by the producers. Goodness.
I like the way Ryan Seacrest said after she gave out an award in some music category few years back. "It's nice to see Paris Hilton....to see Paris Hilton again without the 40min download..."

Fickle-minded society strikes again. When one particular show has the characters speaking in "proper" English, people proclaimed that the show does not potray the way the community speak in daily life. When "unproper" English speaking shows are being telecast, some highlighted that children won't learn the right way from watching them. Well...

Sometimes I wonder how people can endure watching a typical r n b mtv. You know, those with the guy spotting a girl and then tell her how nice her ass is...how she turns him on..and then his posse will appear in the background, giving him full support. Don't they have any new ideas on how to make a music video? Booorrriiing.

Howard needs to read up a lot on how to *muack* properly. The way he did it was extremely hilarious. I was like "What the...". But then, fair play to him by being himself and creative. Goes to show that looks are not important. *smile* At least this season's lady was much better than the previous one. No more irritating statements like "Wooow. This is a nice gift, thank yeeeeeeeeeeew"

Always have people telling me about Mr Young Ming. I like to watch his report as it will usually ends in a stylish manner. Maybe he's very proud and honoured to represent his country for the major asian news company.
What is his country? "Taipaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay"

I think Travis' "Peace The F*ck Out" intro is very similar to Suede's "New Generation" intro. Always good to learn from past masters.

Yodeling

Misinterpreted lyrics:

1. Destiny's Child - Lose My Breath.
Misheard : "Can you keep up; In the morning when I lose my breast...In the morning when I lose my breast"
Actual words : "Can you keep up; Baby boy, make me lose my breath; Bring the noise, make me lose my breath"

2. Abba : Take A Chance On Me
Misheard : "If you change your mind (Jackie-Chan-Jackie-Chan-Jackie-Jackie-Chan-Chan)"
Actual words : "If you change your mind (Take a chance, take a chance, take a take a chan chance)"

3. UB40 : Red Red Wine
Misheard : "Red red wine, steak lobster meat"
Actual words : "Red red wine, stay close to me"

Rafael Nadal won the French Open. This boy is only 19. Anyone who can defeat Federer (lost to Nadal in semis) must be someone special in the court. Would love to see this teen sensation go against the mighty Marat Safin. That would be a special encounter.

Mary Pierce was easily defeated by the return of Justine Henin-Hardenne in the finals. A bloody one sided affair. The funny thing was Venus W lost to some unknown teenage girl in the earlier rounds. That was simply embarrasing for the Williams clan.

"She's out of my league". I'm sorry but there is no such thing as 'out of your league'. Who the hell invented such a term? It is just nothing more than a state of mind. Anyone who thinks in this manner shows a lack of confidence. Just because she's hot and you don't consider yourself the same way, doesn't mean that you should stop pursuing. One need to develop the attitude that no individual is 'out of your league'.

Kelly was the winner of The Apprentice II, defeating Jennifer who was not a favorite amongst all the high ranking business personnel at the final boardroom. I think he deserved this victory as he showed more leadership quality and better interpersonal skills whereas Jenn just knows when to use her power of speech to slither her way out of trouble whenever her team lost. Ivana is really one daring lady...doing that skirt-stunt in public and on national TV too...goodness what was she thinking.

Me favs in the show were Raj and Andy. Raj reminds me of some ol' mates from school back then. Those who have no fear to confront women and be upfront even though the situation is not that healthy. Andy, on the other hand, is an ex debating champion. But then he got caught in between two extremely aggressive women in Sandy & Jenn who out-spoke him in the boardroom which led to his dismissal. The best lines at the reunion show were from Donald who said "Poor Andy. He might never debate again after that" and from Andy himself who proclaimed "Those two women should be on The Contender, not The Apprentice!". Ahhh...good sense of humour too. Cool dude.

On a personal note, Stacy R & Elizabeth are an eye candy in the show. Negotiating a "business plan" with either of them would be nice.

Strangelove

New Releases :
  1. Oasis - Don't Believe The Truth
  2. White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan
  3. The Tears - Here Come The Tears
Yee-hah!

From the official Strokes newsletter that I have received, they have already penned 13 new songs for the upcoming album. Although these may not be the final cut as they may chop and change with other song ideas. The album is not titled yet. And the 13 songs also don't have any titles for now. The production crew hinted that the earliest arrival of the new album may be in Jan 2006...but that is also not confirmed as yet. A new single will be released in Oct or Nov this year en route to their third installment.
I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!

(Oh we crash the same scene just to talk all night
How we all want... some glamour..)

Why the hell Valencia wants Kluivert?? He is way past his great playing days. Stelios/ Crouch/ Zenden to Anfield? I think Zenden would be just nice and would add to the ever growing dashing players in the squad. Stelios is just alright but no thanks. Crouchy can move in along with the new giraffes at the London Zoo.
Who does Figo think he is? Telling the world that he wants to move to Old Trafford or Anfield after he has been regarded as useless for next La Liga season. Prima donnas are not welcomed in Rafa's plans. Big Sam can jolly well get him so that he can play with other 'Has-Beens' at the Reebok.

*Updated news => RAUL in £ 15Mil Bid from Rafa??* Ooooh....the darling of Real Madrid. In Rafa we trust.

Saw two upcoming movie trailers :
  1. The Secret Key - A woman(Kate Hudson) applied for a nanny job at some remote house in the country side. Her job was to take care of this elderly man, who behaved in a very weird manner. Like he's been possessed or something. As she bravely accepts the job, she discovers that there are strange happenings like eerie sounds coming from outside of the doors. The elderly man is not able to send a message to her as he don't seem to be able to speak properly. What is the secret that the whole family threatened to keep from her? *This is a very interesting show starring me fav actress, Kate.*
  2. Flightplan - A mom(Jodie Foster) and her daughter were going home on board a very lavish and newly built aeroplane. It looks like being in a luxury cruise ship with many high class components. Before her daughter slept, she sketch out a heart shape with her finger on the glass window and it was imprinted on it. When Jodie woke up in the middle of the night, she found her daughter to be missing. No one in the crew remembered that her daughter boarded the plane. After frantic searches, they told her that there was no little girl in the flight. But when she came back to her seat, that same heart shape was there.... *Wow. This is a type of suspense thriller movie that will sure entertain moi*

Saw a morning show the other day and the hosts were interviewing one guy by the name of "PUNCH GUNALAN". Yes. It's his real name. Somehow it just triggered me brain to do one thing to that person, although I have no problems of him appearing as a guest. He looked a humble man who seems to speak eloquent English. But somehow or rather my right fists were clenched for no reason. Hmm...

Got to watch The Bravery's new video for their next single 'Fearless'. All band members had their own speedboat and playing their instruments while being on their boats, driven by someone else. Endicott was of course in the front line with a microphone stand. It is in black n white. Very cool and interesting idea. Looked very 80s too. The song is not as superior as An Honest Mistake or Unconditional, but would do okay in the charts.

The Killers 'Smile Like You Mean It' video was shot in a house where Brandon and his gang were like a spirit form and looking around at the happy and monotonous surroundings of the house. Don't really like the bridge part as it sounds kinda cheesy but the chorus is melodious nonetheless.

Jack White has married Karen Elson in South America a few days back. He met her during one of the video shoots in the Stripes new single, Blue Orchid. She's a model I think. And Meg was the maid of honor...

Some people find love handles sexy. Ok, mine is under the acceptable range. But the thing is, for those people who went for liposuction...then when they began to fall off the tracks in terms of eating habits...won't it appear again?? Experienced some of me mates complaining that they are fat when they looked perfectly normal to moi...Not good to cultivate a "one-meal a day" routine. Just know the right moderation to take. There was one show a couple of months back interviewing the locals about how they stay in shape. Goodness, a few looked like anorexic patients and still complained that if they eat more than what they are having daily, they will gain unnecessary weight and won't look pretty anymore!!! *Pulling me hair in horror*

Right Said Fred

Overheard 'My love' from Westlife in the airwaves today and somehow or rather I began to sing along the chorus, giving no regards to the surroundings. It's a very nice ballad. Other good songs from that boyband would be 'Fool Again', 'I Lay My Love On You' and 'World Of Our Own'. Totally have no idea when each of those singles were released. Anyways, they are a pale shade of the majestic Boyzone. In the 90s, Take That and Boyzone dominated the airwaves, with great hits such as 'Back For Good', 'Relight My Fire', 'Love Me For A Reason', 'All That I Need', etc. The funny thing was when Take That split up in '96, scores and scores of teenage gals were pouring their heart out to the radio deejays. Come on, get over it. RW not doing too bad yah?

N'stink and Backside Boys sux. No need to waste anymore space about them in here.

Seems like me mates proclaim Brad to be most good looking actor in the world. Wow. That's kinda big statement yah. For me, it's Keanu, Depp, Cruise then Brad comes fourth.

Can't believe Brad chose Jolie over Aniston. Goodness me. Must be the slutty or manipulation factor. Poor Aniston.

Cruise is now with Katie Holmes. Had no idea who the hell she was. A very big age difference I must say.
Then again, Kidman is much more stunning. Holmes is just a sweety pie.

Ashton & Demi. Hmm...he's one lucky b***ard. What else is there to say?

Anyways, Morientes might be Ashton's twin bro...proof is here.

Morientes & Ashton Kutcher

Rod Stewart's famous song is 'Some Guys Have All The Luck'. Well...Rachel Hunter, then now Penny Lancaster... He IS one of those guys. Seems to me that he prefers these "Farrah Fawcett"(original charlies angel star) kinda women. The retro hairstyle, extremely leggy and good enough to act in any 80's remake movie. And that guy is 60 years old now. Still possessing strong soldiers yah?

I remember the good old days when Rod, Bryan Adams and Sting sang this "All For Love" song back in '93 me think. A soundtrack from The Three Musketeers movie. Ahh...good memories. Bryan released one album last year but it was pathetic. Sting at least had few good singles now and then. Rod has a ....Penny.

*****
I don't wanna talk about it, how you broke my heart,
but if I stay here just a little bit longer,
If I stay here, won't you listen to my heart, whoa, my heart?
My heart, whoa, my heart.
*****

Ok. Gonna squeeze out more mushy thoughts now...Hmm...

Who remembered Rick Price? "Only Heaven Knows". Ahhh yes. Wondered what the hell happened to that guy. That song is very good too. I think he has this long hair.

I think Bryan Adams had this one fantastic song 'Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman'. During those days when me tried to learn to play the guitar and somehow for no reason bought a tablature book. This was one of the songs in that book. Hahaha...what the fook manz... Think was just those simple life days where mushy songs like this have no bearing on anything and it's ok to learn them.

Michael Learns to Rock...Hmm, let me see...Wild Women, Thats Why You Go Away, 25 Minutes and The Actor. Thats all me can recall from this Danish band. After 1997, they began to produce crap albums coz me can't rem any songs from then on.

Bon Jovi = Always, Janie, Something for the Pain. The rest are simply cheesy rock. They should retire early but maybe just wanna squeeze a bit more dough($) me thinks.

East 17...Two favorite songs from this trio are Stay Another Day & Hold My Body Tight. The first song is also found in the Girls Aloud album...which is a pale version of course. The second song has one of the best groovy lyrics and that rap portion is....wow.

Peter Andre = Has Been.

Jon Johnson has been me fav since the early stages of the competition. In the final two, he was with this bald dude whom I don't really give much hope for cause Johnson is one heck of a hunk and had more style. Those Abs...if just 1 out of 6 can be found on me tummy...Nah...junk food rocks. Not surprised he cause a lot of hoo-hah in the local media here when he visited our country this year. Good looking dude.

There's this one show 'V' from the 80s about aliens with crocodile skin and covering themselves up with human skin to disguise themselves as one of the earthlings. If only they could come back and abduct people like, Britney, Timberlake, P.Andre, etc. for good..

Alritey. End of this 'metro' post. Deep huh? That's the unseen side of moi. Cheers.

*Hold my body tight...All night...* (~I actually remembered some of the moves~)

Metamorphosis

Have you always wondered in another alternate world...where men don't watch sports and women don't care about feelings... then women will pester their counterparts to watch the match of the day but the men just simply want to go shopping for shoes and wallets. Then, when the men hinted to their women to buy rings and necklaces but instead only gets a totally boring gift, they will throw tantrums. But women will just brush aside the mood swings due to their once in a while 'golf-balls syndrome'. The men will want to watch this special preview romantic movie but then it clashed with the Juventus vs Ac Milan match. So, the women will just simply say "Nah... There's a match between the two giants of Serie A". They will pester the men to buy beers and pizza for them to enjoy while watching the game. After leaving them all alone, the men will sulk in one corner, calling each other and complaining that their women have more passion about watching boring football games rather than spending quality time with them. During dinner outings, the women will rant about why Totti did not get sent off after an elbow incident but the men tries hard to avoid that bloody topic and prefers to discuss on whether they should attend body wrapping sessions or skip meals in order to be slim like one of the male models on Fashion TV. The women will lash out to the men that they are not fat and it's a waste of money to do such silly things. It is far better to save it up to go watch Chelsea at the Bridge next season . Again, the men will throw tantrums and the women have to coax and calm them down...until future similar topics arise.

Have sampled BlackEyedPeas' new single - Don't Phunk With Me, from the new album released this month. Quite impressed with it. The only song that I liked from them was Hey Mama. The rest were boring as hell.
And it's quite disturbing to know that the female singer is called 'F-E-R-G-I-E'. Of all the names...

Anyone seen Daft Punk's new video for Technologic? No no not the Ipod one. Their original one. From the picture link alone, it looked pretty scary. Not advisable for those who are easily able to have nightmares from seeing gross stuff in the day. It's a freakish looking robot singing the song. Very interesting concept for the video. Maybe the band wants to send the message that technology is evil..

Heard one weird song on radio some time ago, sounds like a little kid repeating 'bing-bing-bing'. Turned out to be the Crazy Frog by Axel F( F??). It actually topped the charts ahead of Coldplay's new single! Hahaha... There seems to be an online petition campaign to stop the producer from creating an album, simply because the song annoys the hell out of the them. The first ringtone to top the charts. Incredible.
