Dark Autumn

Courteney Cox recently shelled out $12,000 on a new Chanel bicycle for Jennifer Aniston after she expressed an interest taking up cycling. A source revealed: "Jennifer said she wanted to start bike riding because it's such good exercise, so Courteney sent her the new, ultra-chic Chanel bicycle." BFF never ends?

Donald Sutherland felt like he was in '24' when Kiefer was in jail over Christmas because he had just 14 minutes to chat to him every three days. Don says, "You speak for 14 minutes, that's your limit and then the phone goes dead. I never knew when the phonecall would come and it would be this recording of some woman in the police system and you'd blurt out everything in 14 minutes." Wonder if they have the 'tick..tick..tick' minute countdown system as well?

Woody Allen has warned Scarlett Johansson not to become sidetracked by the Hollywood party scene. The director said: "She is so beautiful and so sexy and so gifted... she can do anything, but she has to make the right choices of films and she's got to not go the party route." Woody shouldn't have any concerns about that.

KT Tunstall has revealed that she is delaying her wedding plans because she wants to play the summer festivals. She said: "There are so many festivals this summer and we don't want to be rushing away from our service to get on stage. So that leaves us with a very small window, in September or if we're lucky with the weather, early October." Oh it's just a wedding..

Beastie Boys star Adam Yauch is moving into the movie business - the rapper's launching an independent film distribution company. The firm aims to provide funds to complete and release unfinished films as well as buying films for festivals. Yauch, who plans to release between two and 10 movies in the company's first year of operation, says, "We're kind of winging it." Worth a wait.

A former Radio-Canada presenter is suing The White Stripes for sampling her show without permission. Dominique Payette accuses them of using an unauthorized 10-second soundbite, in which she and an unidentified girl talk in French. The excerpt introduces "Jumble, Jumble" on De Stijl, which she wants withdrawn from shops immediately. Payette says, " I have two choices - either you go to court, or you do nothing. I decided to do something." Weird. Others would ask for some moolah.
