Lindsay Lohan Channels Clara Bow And Elizabeth Taylor (May 26)
Here's the young starlet all done up and shot by Karl Lagerfeld for Interview Magazine.
Q: Are you shooting for Karl as a model?
LL: I'm shooting him. Yeah. I don't want to give too much detail. He just shot me for an interview, as Clara Bow and as Elizabeth Taylor. But I'm going to shoot him for an interview. Karl's a genius, and I love the things that he does.

Paris Hilton shooting "Stars Are Blind" music video

What's the big deal with that slip? Bottomline, that is a very nice song. (if it's actually her voice)

Kate Moss has gone berserk! These are the dramatic scenes when she lost her cool and lashed out at a photographer in the street. Moss's erratic behaviour was caused by a bad case of toothache, which left her feeling tired and strained. Quite funny seeing a model actually attacking a photographer. Liam G would be proud.

Liam G was photographed out with Nicole Appleton house hunting [link] and got angry with a photographer, throwing a punch as he swaggered out of his waiting car in London, England on Monday (May 22). Another victim of the supersonic knocks.

American Idol: What You Didn't See [link]

Dido is currently working on the third album in America, working and writing with loads of different producers for a more "experimental" sound. The album should be ready for either a very late 2006 or early 2007 release!

Emma Bunton with Will Young / Cheryl Tweedy

She is currently working on her third studio album.

Not content with just her ongoing feud with Charlotte Church, Cheryl Tweedy has now launched an attack on Paris Hilton too. Regarding Paris' forthcoming album, Cheryl remarked: "It's very funny. One of the girls saw her in a film and said she was abysmal, so the album should be interesting. She looks like a Barbie doll. She makes me laugh." Same ol' Tweedy, always wanting to bite first. But the best line would be: "I don't think there's any substance to her." List of 'Aloud' attacks from C.T--> Tatu's Julia, Charl, now Paris.. Lohan next?

Every year theres always a good few tracks that define our lovely wet summers.
I'm going with these 3 dance tracks:
Roger Sanchez - Lost
Already hailed as the biggest anthem at this years Miami Music Conference, and set to do big things chart wise too. Kinda similar too his "Another Chance" track..Kinda bittersweet but really very catchy and massive.

The Avalon Superstars - All My Love
Every summer needs a massive housey dance anthem, and this is as they say is gonna be "huge". The best summery dance anthem since Groovejet.

Miki Garzilli - Why U Wanna Do Me Wrong
Wailing Diva..Check! Big piano riffs..Check! Classic disco sample..Check!
A gloriously uplifting piece of dance, Sampling Micheal Zager Band - Lets All Chant.

Taylor Hicks performed new single, 'Do I Make You Proud', for E! Tonight [link]. Watch the performance, and additional clips from the finale.

Access Hollywood [link] caught up with runner-up Katharine McPhee and asked the singer about her boyfriend. "I do have a boyfriend, and we both live in L.A., so its' not a problem," Katharine said. "His name is Nick Cokis." Asked if she's trying to keep the private life private, McPhee said, "Well, I'm just trying to find my way in this business."

Katharine McPhee as an actress? Apparently a certain Spielberg dude is a big fan of McPhee. Spielberg requested a private audience with the brunette after the finale. McPhee then told news show Extra, "That, for me I think, was the thing that really made this last week calming for me. I just was like, 'Wow, Steven Spielberg would like to have a meeting with me.' That's incredible! " Less pressure to succeed being the runner-up? Can't really argue to seeing more of Kat, as long as she doesn't overact like how she over..

What's yours?

Get to know more about Lily Allen through this lengthy article [link]. Lily Allen has packed a lifetime's experiences into her 21 years, and now she's set to provide the soundtrack to your summer. Miranda Sawyer meets pop's most precocious young star.

Ahead of Natasha Thomas' 'Playin' With Fire' album release on Friday (May 26) in Germany, Viva.tv is offering 90-second audio clips to the disc's 16 tracks [link]. Not too bad for this Danish pop singer.

The Charlatans have written a song for DPT frontman Carl Barat. The song 'Hard To Be You (Song For Carl)' will feature on the band's next single, 'NYC (There's No Need To Stop)' due to be released June 26th. Respect.

Razorlight Johnny Borrell has been mouthing off again, this time his intended target would be Sheffield's Arctic Monkeys. When asked whether he considered A.M as worthy rivals of his band he apparently retorted "Of course I f***ing don't," before going on to say he didn't rate them against other bands like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Strokes or The Libertines either. Things some people have to do to get the much needed publicity. Turner & gang should be getting back to him anytime soon..

Looks like Keira Knightley wants to do theatre. But then, she is too scared to go for a stage role because she has failed auditions in the past. She confessed to Britain's Times magazine: "I'm desperate to do theatre. The trouble is, I never got offered anything. I used to go up for auditions and never get them. The last one was when I was 15-years-old and I completely blew it. It's a hard transition. And the more successful I get in films, the more afraid I become." Keira would also love to star in one of her mother's plays - but she thinks it would be too "corny". She revealed: "I'd love to be in one of mother's plays, for sentimental reasons and because she's a good writer, but that would be a bit corny for my first outing." Don't see any reason for her not to try it out again. Probably just not mentally ready. If she could bring out the 'Domino' attitude, it might help..

What a loving hubby Ashton Kutcher is... When he heard Demi was ovulating, Ashton reportedly jetted across the US to Louisiana, where she is shooting her new movie. Reason? He's desperate to have a baby before her 'time' runs out. The Punk'd star allegedly decided he couldn't be away from the actress while she was at her most fertile. America's Star mag reported: "Demi Moore was ovulating - and he rushed to Louisiana, where she is filming 'Mr Brooks', to be by her side." However, Kutcher's representative has denied the story. The same old denial of course. Silence is easy.

Interview with Halle Berry on "X-Men - The Last Stand" [link]

Well waddayaknow? 50 Cent has been named 'songwriter of the year' by top industry names. He was awarded the coveted title by the respected American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) at a star-studded ceremony on Monday. The gangsta lyricist raps about enjoying a 'p.i.m.p' lifestyle and growing up in the 'hood'. Even though his movies have been causing anger amongst the community, the music still stayed strong.

Ronan Keating isn't interested in X-Factor or Pop Idol. He told BANG Showbiz: "I don't watch them, I have never watched either of them." However, Ronan did confess to having a few hoodies in his wardrobe. Don't see nothing wrong about that anyway. When speaking about the good work of the trust he said: "There is all this negativity towards youngsters wearing hoodies in the shopping centres and we need to take the negativity away." Asked whether he had any of the hooded jumpers in his collection he said: "Yeah sure, I have a couple." Shhh....don't let Lady Sovereign know about this or she'll be writing some anti-ronan tunes. Just ask Jentina..

TOTP interview with Ronan Keating [link]

Nice to see Jamie Cullum and R.K hanging out in a London pub. They were working together in a studio and decided to test out a new track the Jolly Maltster in West London. A source said: "Ronan and Jamie are very similar, they both like to work hard and play hard. They were so thrilled at the end result of the song that they dived into the black stuff. After a few pints they thought they'd get some opinions and did a rendition of the track for the bar staff. They got the thumbs-up from the locals, so it sealed the songs position on the album." Jamie plays the piano on several tracks on Ronan's new album and the Irishman has admitted being indebted to his friend. He said: "I was amazed when Jamie said he would play piano for me. He's a brilliant musician and a good friend. I am indebted to him for doing such an amazing job." Could this be the beginning of a beautiful relationship?

Timothy Dalton almost killed James Bond! His movies were so unsuccessful, film-makers considered never making another Bond movie. Recently found letters written by Kenneth Maidment, former vice-president of Columbia Pictures, have shown how perilously close to death the infamous spy movie became. But thanks to Pierce Brosnan, the Bond franchise was saved. Maidment writes: "The prospect of a further Bond film seems highly uncertain. I pointed out in my 1984 valuation that there was a big question mark over the future of James Bond films. The last two pictures have starred Timothy Dalton but sadly the results have, unfortunately not had the same box-office success." Quite true. T.D really made the two Bond movies he acted in looked ordinary. The big question now is... Daniel Craig = Timothy Dalton II?

Catch The Sun

Will America choose sweet Taylor Hicks over sexy Katharine McPhee during this week's finale of American Idol? Fox News Lisa Bernhard explored the question, with comments from both contestants. [vid]

Katharine McPhee and Taylor Hicks gave phone press conferences last Friday to talk about the finale of 'American Idol'. Asked if it matters if she wins on Wednesday, McPhee responded, "I've had a few people ask me that. Of course, you want to win. Definitely, I'd love to win. I think it depends on the person. Look at Clay Aiken. He's done really well for himself and he didn't win. I don't know if it really matters. When you're in the top two... Taylor and I looked at each other and said, 'Oh my God it doesn't matter.'" More...[link].

Wedding Story No.1:
This is great! Kylie and Olivier Martinez will tie the knot... twice! They have planned two wedding parties: one in Kylie's native Australia and one in Olivier's native France. A source said: "They're planning wedding parties in France and Australia. Olivier went to Corsica in February to look at venues this end." A few months ago she was spotted trying on a wedding dress, on a trendy shop, accompanied by her love mate. Congrats to both!

Wedding Story No.2:
Jennifer Aniston is apparently so desperate to have a baby, that she has reportedly put beau Vince Vaughn on 'healthy' diet to increase her chances of conceiving. Aniston has been making Vaughn cut down on his love for drink, cigs and fast food. She was quoted as saying: "If Vince was drinking, smoking and eating burgers, my will power would be out the window." There are also rumours about the couple planning to tie the knot later this year with a ceremony in Fiji, and that Aniston has been discussing wedding dresses with celebrity fashion designer Vera Wang. That boy does look as if he needs to stop the burger intake..and getting a makeover. Must be a real thing going on between them.

Wedding Story No.3:
Of all the wedding singers, Nicole Kidman has to pick a horrible one. Bette Midler to be precise. The veteran lady will sing her hit Wind Beneath My Wings at Nicole's wedding in Sydney, Australia on June 25. That song is her all-time favourite. Bette & Nicole are very close; both being born in Hawaii so probably they have many things in common. I won't wanna hear that song again coz it's beyond cheesy. Saying that, it's going to be one grand ceremony come June. And there will be no pre-nup agreement.

She may be a famous tv spy, but Jennifer Garner is not so well trained in the kitchen...Her house was reportedly set on fire due to her leaving a frying pan unattended! Jenn reveals: "I love to cook but, um, I do have a little problem. Sometimes I'll cook a little hot. We're staying in a rented house, and I didn't know how to put the vent on over the stove." Thankfully, after a few minutes, the burning pan triggered the fire alarm. Jen explains, "It's [the alarm] saying, 'Fire, please leave the building. Fire, please leave the building.'" That is not all. To make things more interesting, people came dashing in... "Next thing, here [the firefighters] come. Hatchets, hats, full gear. We hear pound, pound, pound, pound, pound on the door. There were like eight firemen and I said, 'Well, I can fix you dinner. But it's probably gonna be burned.'" Ben Affleck's face must have been feeling blushingly hot as well.

Hugh Jackman has revealed the James Bond movie-makers wanted him to sign up for 007 ... but he wouldn't until he'd seen a script. So, that part went to Daniel Craig, who was not a popular choice with every Bond fan. Aussie Hugh admitted: "They rang my agent to find out availability and interest.
"I said: 'Can I have a look at the script? Who is directing it?'
"They said: 'Just sign on.'
"I was like, 'No'.
"They didn't offer it to me. I don't want to be on record as saying I was offered it because that's not true."

X-Men 3 Review:
Having just watched the preview, I must say this third installment was quite well done. The action is fast paced almost throughout the show, with some major surprises along the way. Some characters like Cyclops, Angel, Rogue were extremely underused but the introduction of new mutants such as Jaggernaut, Beast, Multiple Man & Callisto was a cool idea to incorporate into the show. The best fighting scene would be in the house where Professor X got ........ by Dark Phoenix. The last battle involving the huge golden gate bridge was fantastic; with many one-on-one head-ons between the mutants. There are lesser long-winded talking scenes this time and this new director did a pretty good job overall. 'Magneto' was seen trying to move a chess piece without touching and interestingly, it did move a liiiiiiiiiiittle... And don't be foolish by not sitting through the credits because there is something special after that.

Pete Doherty's AOL biography article [link]. Funniest part is everyone's Pete Headlines. "The U.K.'s GQ Man of the Year. Eat yer heart out Johnny Depp!" Rough Trade has dropped Babyshambles [link] but the label insists that the contract came to a 'natural end' and that they were happy to talk to the band about future plans. It would appear the cause of it was that sad incident with a MTV cameraman. Despite the relationship being amicable between the two parties, Babyshambles are still without a label and a manager. With the daily controversies baggage, it would take a brave move to manage this band.

Bluebell Madonna = Why this name????? Geri gave her newborn baby this name after being stunned by the spring flowers in the park during her pregnancy. In the Hello! mag, she said: "Scarlett was a name I loved, as Scarlett O'Hara was my fictional heroine. I seemed to recall she had a daughter who was called 'Blue'. I thought that was cute - and Bluebell was even cuter. As I walked around the park in the last few weeks of pregnancy, I seemed to see bluebells everywhere. There's a good reason I picked Madonna as a middle name, too. As she came out of my tummy, Bluebell had both arms wide in the air as if announcing, 'Hi, I'm here.' She was screaming her head off, as though she was shouting, 'Hello Wembley.' "No one else has that name, apart from the Virgin Madonna and the singer, who I love." Goodness me why does she have to pick such a horrible name for her child? 'Scarlett' would do just fine. But at least she is happy to have her own 'little doll'.

Andrea Corr at a photocall in Cannes. Unsurprisingly stunning as ever.

Prince William kissing singer Natasha Hamilton (21st May 2006)

The British press is making this smooch between Tash and Prince Williams into something big. This incident happened following a charity concert in London last weekend. But she has denied trying to seduce him. Tash said: "I wasn't trying it on. He has a girlfriend and I have a boyfriend. It's just an unfortunate picture. I'm so embarrassed by it. It looks like I'm going in for the snog, but really I was not. I don't think his girlfriend Kate Middleton will believe it." Guess it's just an innocent act. Not too sure whether this Kate will have her kitten-claws out over this...

The best thing to eat to extend your lifespan is very little. True? Why caloric restriction should lengthen life isn't clear, but it now seems that growth hormone could well be a key piece in the puzzle. Andrzej Bartke and colleagues at Southern Illinois University worked with normal mice and mutant mice missing the receptor for growth hormone. Half of each type were allowed to eat at will, and the other half were fed 30 per cent fewer calories than usual. As expected, normal mice on fewer calories lived 20 to 30 per cent longer. Mice without the growth hormone receptor also showed similar increases in longevity on a normal diet. This suggests that restricting calories has a similar effect on the body to knocking out the growth hormone receptor. Doing both does not make the mice live even longer: the mutant mice on low-calorie diets had similar lifespans to those on the normal diet. "The actions of growth hormone are somehow implicated in linking caloric restriction to longer life," Bartke says. Insulin may be the connection. Both groups of long-lived mice had a greater sensitivity to insulin, and caloric restriction in the mutant mice failed to increase their strong insulin sensitivity any further.
"Insulin resistance is a risk factor for just about any problem you don't want to get: diabetes, atherosclerosis, cancer. It's sort of intuitive that the opposite situation would be beneficial."

The Raconteurs - Steady As She Goes / Hands (on Conan)

Everytime I tried to stay away from listening to SASG, once that freakin' intro comes ringing into the brain, I have to repeat the video/audio again and again..

Eliz Hurley / Johnny Depp out and about:

(I'm thinking of getting that hat)

There's this particular track sung by Vanessa Paradies, wife of Depp, called 'Be My Baby'. Upon hearing for the first time many years back, I thought it was a tribute song done originally by The Supremes... it wasn't. You'll be dancing along in no time for sure.

How would you feel if your darling little daughter gets suspended from school not for playing truant but for...singing a Spice Girl song?? The parents of five Gwinnett County teens are still shaking their heads in disbelief over this matter [vid]. To make it worse, they were also barred from going to their graduation celebration. W.T.F?? All because they mentioned a sacred word - "lover" from the song 'Wannabe'. Well, that is, according to the principal who suspended them. She must have had some issues with that word. One of the mum said, "When school came the following Monday morning, the principal pulled the five girls in and was very angry at them, and told them that they ruined the talent show and that she wanted to get up on the stage and jerk the microphone out of their hands." I pity those kids for having a pathetic principal.

Sailor Moon fans behold - the voice-over for the movie is going to be Lindsay Lohan! Another mega-deal for this soon-to-be 20 year old. The people behind the upcoming big-screen adaptation of the Japanese manga series 'Sailor Moon' have sent her some materials to look at, she said, and fans have begun lobbying hard for Lohan to play the titular character, a rail-thin blonde known for her strong powers and sexy costumes. "I haven't read the script; I don't even know if there is a script. ... I read a lot of things [online] that I don't know about myself that apparently people think are true." Read more.. The Strokes' next new single will be 'You Only Live Once', released on July 10. The video for the track was shot at the start of May in Los Angeles by director Sam Beyer. The band have labelled it as their "coolest video yet." First three singles...are the first three songs from the album... From the earlier polls on their official site, people voted for YOLO to be the best song from FIOE. Nobody can really argue against that. Can't wait for July.

The Kooks vs Razorlight. A new rock 'n' roll rivalry is brimming? It all started when Johnny Borrell commented on NME saying: "I heard their single on the radio the other day and it sounds like fucking Avril Lavigne! If he can live with himself after that production, and if he feels like he has to slag people off to keep up, then I'm sure his nights are long and those moments of doubt are really painful. For a start, he models his style on me. And that record is the most horrible thing I've ever heard. It sounds like the band are literally rolling over, sticking their arse in the air and begging Radio 1 to fuck them. So fuck The Kooks. Fuck 'em!" And what does Luke Pritchard has to say about this? When The Kooks were playing the final night of their UK tour at London's Astoria (May 18), Pritchard took a swipe at their rivals. "This one's for Johnny Borrell," the frontman quipped, before the group launched into their recent single 'Naive'. That's a nice one there. Better still if Kooks + Arctic M combine their powers against Razorlight +.... Kaiser Chiefs?

The Kooks - She Moves In Her Own Way [ real / win ]

The Veronicas - When It All Falls Apart [video]
This is the third Australian single from the debut album of The Veronicas, but the song will be their first US and Europe single release. Nice poppy tunes, just something to get along with in the absence of the mighty kittens..

Now what I am anticipating is the new Sophie Ellis Bextor album, rumoured to be called "Tripping The Light" or "Tripping The Light Fantastic". It is only a rumour as it hasn't been confirmed by Sophie, but she has confirmed that the album has lots of uptempo tracks and it has more in common with "Read My Lips". TTLF reverts back to the sound of Groovejet along with elements of dance and electro pop; moving away from the indie sound of SFTH. It just sounds Sophie as well!

Tom Hanks wants Charlize Theron to play Marilyn Monroe in his new movie. The actress is in talks to play her screen idol in a new film, produced by Hanks' production company Playtone Films. She is the producers' favourite to portray Monroe in the movie adaptation of her biography 'Goddess.' Theron has on many occasions spoken about her admiration for 50s sex symbol - and once considered buying the star's old house. Hmmm.. I would think Scarlett is a slightly better choice but then it is Charlize who's a classy lady after all.

X-Files 2 movie update:
Frank Spotnitz, the mastermind behind much of the mythology of The X-Files, has signed on to help write the next movie based on the hit series, but that the new movie won't deal with the show's byzantine conspiracy arc. "There's still a very good chance that we will all do another X-Files movie," Spotnitz said in an interview. One point of contention in getting a second X-Files film off the ground: Series creator Chris Carter is still wrangling with 20th Century Fox over legal matters but Spotnitz said, "I'm hoping it will get resolved soon." Although the script isn't written, the idea is already developed. It harkens back to the series' stand-alone episodes rather than the conspiracy to cover up the existence of extra-terrestrials. "No, we're not going into the mythology [in the sequel]," Spotnitz said. "One of the things that was exciting about doing it is to not make it a mythology story, and it's like one of the stand-alone episodes. It's a bit scary. Of course, we will catch up with the characters and what is going on in their lives, but it's not about the alien conspiracy. It's not about that." After a very long absence (last movie was in 98-99), not too sure about the response from the worldwide audience but if they can convince everyone with a quality storyline, then it should make a good comeback.

MTV2 will be debuting a new show called Where My Dogs At? [vid] after the season premiere Celebrity Deathmatch on June 10th. In the debut episode, Buddy and Woof (two stray dogs trying to survive on the mean streets of Hollywood) run into a few of our favorite Hollywood "It" girls.. talking about sticks & stones ayee...

Jamie Cullum doesn't understand why he's a famous... when his records are rarely played on the radio. He puts it down to the fact that he is always on the road so people can't avoid him. He revealed: "It is weird. I think you develop a hardcore touring fan base. Me, personally, I love being out on the road and I'm on tour pretty much non-stop. There's nothing like gaining that fan base by playing live. "I just hope that every person who comes to a show goes home and tells a friend about it and gets them to come with them next time... or buy a CD or whatever. It's pure word of mouth... and hard work of course." Hey, if you're good, people would want to listen to your tunes. Radio is not the most powerful transmission tool these days anyway.
