Things nearly got very awkward for Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo last week - they nearly found themselves holidaying with Nick and his new squeeze. J & T had planned to join Ashlee at the Four Seasons in Costa Rica for a post-New Year break but changed their mind at last minute, instead flying to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. And a wise decision it was: Nick stayed in the hotel next door. Damn the universe course correcting powers..













Norah Jones has split with her long-term boyfriend. She dated her band's bassist Lee Alexander for several years, but it all ended just before Christmas. Alexander has now moved out of their US home. The pair are said to remain "friends" and plan to collaborate on future projects. A source claimed Alexander had been "trying to mend his broken heart", saying: "Over the holidays he was catching bands, hanging out and partying with friends." Wonder if he watched "Blueberry Nights" as well?

British actress Gemma Arterton and Ukrainian model Olga Kurylenko will co-star in James Bond 22. Kurylenko "will play the dangerously alluring Camille, who challenges Bond and helps him come to terms with the emotional consequences of Vesper's betrayal," the studio says. Arterton will portray MI6 Agent Fields. Spokesman Steve Elzer had no details on Arterton's character. Marc Forster is directing the film, set for release on November 7. Hope these two doesn't have lousy accents like Vesper.








Dita Von Teese has claimed that the stereotype of sexually conservative Brits isn't true. She loves visiting the UK because of its burlesque history. Von Teese told Highlife: "I love being in London because it has a great history of burlesque. One of the great pioneers was a group called Lydia Thompson And Her Blondes. The British are really quite kinky!" If any live event nip slip ever occurred in the UK, there won't be any crazy uproar unlike another big continent..

Charlize Theron has vowed to stay in shape - and has joined a gym for the first time ever. The star insists she's never felt the need to pound the treadmill to stay slim, but is enjoying its social aspect. Theron says, "I prefer hiking and biking, although for the first time in my life this year I joined a gym and I go with my girls because, God, I can't go on my own." Her body type needs that sort of proper regiment to avoid reaching the Bridget Jones' level.
