Michelle Pfeiffer is desperate to erase all memory of Grease 2 by doing a remake of the original - and getting Jessica Simpson to star in it. Whilst Michelle wants to play Principal McGee, she's thrilled by reports that Jess is being touted to be Sandy. She says: "It's a great idea, and I hear they would like to get Jessica Simpson for the role of Sandy. She would be good." Carla Bruni is poised to become France's first lady, her mother insists. The 39-year-old has been dating President Nicolas Sarkozy since October 2006, and Bruni was recently sported a new sapphire ring on her engagement finger during the couple's Christmas vacation in Egypt. Marisa Borini says,"My daughter is living a true love story. The President doesn't just see the beautiful girl in her and that he has great respect for her artistic side." Mr Sarkozy made an awesome choice for the new first lady.

Keira Knightley has vowed never to live in Hollywood and prefers London because of the cosmopolitan lifestyle there. She said, "I could never live in Hollywood, because there's nowhere to escape to. You find yourself sitting around a lot and every conversation you have is about the movies. I think you have to be in a city that has different walks of life that you can observe - for me, that's London." No Rupert factor involved?







Russell Watson runs the risk of damaging his eyesight with the gruelling course of radiotherapy he has started to eradicate a recurrent brain tumour. The singer will undergo five days of radiotherapy every week for the next five weeks. It was his second operation on the tumour in 12 months. He was first struck down with it in 2006 and made a full recovery, but scans revealed the tumour had grown back. Get well soon.







Ex-Blue singer Lee Ryan was arrested following an alleged assault on a taxi driver on New Year's Eve. The ex-Blue star was said to have been involved in the bust-up following a minor traffic accident while he was on his way to a party. The Sun reported that tempers flared following the crash and the taxi driver radioed his operator, who called police. Ryan was taken to a nearby police station for questioning. What a way to end the year..

Spoiler Alert! Fans of Spiderman are fuming because the latest edition of the comic book wipes out his 20 year marriage to sweetheart Mary Jane. In Spider-Man No. 545 the web-slinger agrees a deal with Mephisto, to protect his identity and spare Aunt May. In return, Peter Parker must turn his back on Mary-Jane and their history together - which has been erased from their memories. Marvel.com's messageboard includes the posts, "Every single issue that I have every read never happened? Thanks a lot guys." Another reads, "The Spider-Man I've loved and read about for 34 years is dead now. It is being built upon the corpse of something that I, and many other readers, cared about deeply."
