The actress believes the much-publicised LA party-scene denigrates those who are forging a 'real' career in Tinseltown. She fumes, "I can't bear that scene. People work so hard to get where they are in this business, so it makes me angry when I see someone making a mockery of what we do, just trying to make five bucks." Hear hear.

The star followed a strict 1,200-calorie-a-day diet and even tried a cabbage-soup detox to lose the weight she gained while pregnant with baby son Dezi. She beat out Bridget Moynahan and Isla Fisher as the most super slimmed mum on In Touch Weekly's 'They Lost The Baby Weight So Fast' poll.

Tara Reid has put an end to speculation over her shock collapse at a Christmas party last weekend (15 Dec). The party-loving actress was taken to a local hospital in Bali and treated for cuts and bruises after a mystery fall. She tells The Scoop, "I slipped at the pool and saw a doctor but I'm fine". The 32-year-old was in Bali after a promotional tour of Australia, where she hosted the Hooker's Ball in Darwin. No illegal substance involved?












Lindsay Lohan has found the perfect new best friend - Yahoo! Chairman Terry Semel's sober daughter Courtenay. The reformed star has reportedly leased a Beverly Hills home with the 28-year-old, an old friend who reconnected with the actress upon her release from rehab at the end of the summer. An insider tells In Touch Weekly mag: "Courtenay's sober, so she's the perfect pal for Lindsay." Terry must be having nightmares about it.

Rowan Atkinson made a mistake of his own when he backed an SUV into an Aspen woman's car. Mr Bean was moving from a metered spot Thursday when he struck the Volkswagen Jetta. "He was backing out of a parking spot and didn't see the car behind him," said police Sgt. Dan Davis. "There was a little bit of damage to the car. He put a ding in it." Davis said the accident was minor, and no citations were issued. The woman would find it very hard to be angry.





Johnny Depp has threatened to boycott public appearances, after photographers left a woman injured at the premiere of his latest movie. Snappers accidentally toppled a female fan at the New York screening of Sweeney Todd earlier this month (03Dec07). The actor yelled at members of the press, "If you guys can't control yourselves, I won't do public appearances anymore". The source claims photographers behaved themselves after the threat. Three L.A. County Sheriff's Department employees gave special treatment to actor/director Mel Gibson during his DUI arrest last year. They employees failed to follow proper procedures during the actor's arrest and tried to withhold details of the arrest report. One received a two-day suspension, while the others received written warnings. "The violations resulted from the decision about when and how to release Mr. Gibson from custody," the OIR says.






Ali Larter and longtime boyfriend Hayes MacArthur, got engaged over the weekend, according to People mag. "It's true," a rep for the actress said. "They're thrilled." The marriage will be the first for both parties. No wedding date has been set. Larter has been anxiously awaiting a proposal from him. "I told my boyfriend after three weeks that I wanted to marry him and that we could do it tomorrow," Larter recently said. "I look forward to that time when I'm home with babies." Congrats.
