Keira Knightley is being lined up to play Princess Diana. The film, which is based on a book written from a paparazzi point-of-view, has had producers at Cannes fighting each other to get their hands on the rights. The book is written by Glenn Harvey and Mark Saunders and the film would be a "different side of a well known story". Unofficial rumblings in Cannes make this project a potential goldmine, with one producer saying: "for every dollar 'The Queen' made, a movie about Diana would make ten". There's no doubting that an accurate portrayal of the Princess would draw crowds, and it may be the heavyweight role that Keira is looking for.








Matt Damon has revealed that he is determined to claim the title of world's sexiest man. The actor admits he is unhappy with the glory his Ocean's Thirteen colleagues B.P and Clooney receive, and admitted he was willing to go a long way to challenge them for the prestigious titles. Both of them regularly top polls to find the sexiest man in the world, but Damon himself has never taken the number one spot in a major publication. "I'm going to get a war chest going and save my money," he laughed. "George said I was close this year but I ran out of money for my campaign, which is why he won." Ever the joker.









Miss Japan, Riyo Mori, was crowned Miss Universe 2007 held in Mexico City. Miss Korea, Honey Lee, was third runner-up. Mori said her ambition is to open her own dance studio in Tokyo. A dancer since she was 4, Mori and her mother "plan to expand my family's love for the performing arts by opening an international dance school in Tokyo and a crossroads for many cultures." Mori said, "The school will allow me to live and teach my passion for dancing while being an independent businesswoman. At least this made up from last year's horror move of not appointing Kurara Chibana as the winner. However, there were uproars from the Korean papers regarding the translator for Honey Lee who didn't do a proper job which might sway the votes.

Kylie refused to leave the comfort of home until later in the day, when she ventured outside to check out all the items fans had left for her. XMF contacted Tom Rothman and the chairman for 20th Century Fox filmed entertainment took the time out of his Memorial Day holiday to email them back regarding whether Wolverine was still planned for the tentative 2008 release, or if Magneto (currently with director) might be released earlier than expected. "It's really soon to tell." said Rothman. "The most important thing is to get the movies right! If I had to guess, I'd say Wolvie in '08 and Mag in '09, but it could change." Waiting for a couple of years for these superheroes' own franchise is acceptable.

End of feud? Lily Allen has revealed that she has moved on from her war of words with Cheryl Cole. They were involved in a bitter exchange this month, following a remark made by Cole over Allen's weight. However, the situation has seemingly diffused. "A lot has happened since the last time that I blogged," Allen wrote on her MySpace. "Obviously Cherylgate which was fun, but we have moved on." She is currently recording with Blondie, claiming: "I am such a huge fan of theirs and it was really scary, to meet them. I thought they might hate me, and my paranoia was telling me that they'd been bullied into doing it with me by their record company, which was probably true, but if it was I couldn't tell. They were super nice, and made me feel really comfortable." That would be an interesting combo.
