Zero Point

Us Weekly has confirmed that Vince Vaughn has popped the question to Jennifer Aniston. "They're engaged!" a friend of the couple said, adding, "Vince almost cries whenever he tells the story of the proposal." On June 27, as the couple returned home on a private Gulfstream jet to L.A. after a romantic, nine-day vacation at Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis' $25 million coastal retreat near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the actor nervously got down on bended knee. At that moment, he asked for Aniston's hand in marriage with a substantial diamond ring. Jenn's PR rep Stephen Huvane reportedly quashed speculation saying that the rumors were not true. But that was over a month ago... Who knows what to believe these days!

Us Weekly editor Janice Min talks about Jenn & Vince's supposed engagement on The Today Show. She sounds overly confident even though Aniston's rep, Stephan Huvane, denies the engagement.

Here is Jenn and her new super cute pup making their way back into her Malibu home.

Anne Hathaway on Jane mag:

The View [myspace] is an upcoming band from Scotland. Their single, 'Wasted Little DJs' [vid] reached No.2 after four weeks on the charts. Pete Doherty was once impressed by them and invited the band to support Babyshambles' national tour. Having only released an EP, their debut album is scheduled for January 2007. This particular single reminds me of the raw vibe found on 'Bring It On Down' & 'Digsy's Dinner'. The View [ demos / live ]

Looks like another surge of girl power has arrived. Dead Disco [myspace] consists of three girls who are dressed like Shirley Manson, plays spiky angular guitar riffs and has the attitude of The Long Blondes, Blondie and Rogers Sisters combined. This song 'Automatic' packs a lot of punch and it looks like Dead Disco may be the new indie powerhouse coming your way later this year or probably next year for those late discoverers..

Jet have a new album 'Shine On' out Oct 3rd. The first single is "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is" [real / win]. This song reminds me of 'Be Here Now'; all that big guitar noises and rock attitude mixed in. Definitely a grower.

Christina Aguilera and her husband are constantly bombarded with requests to star in a new reality TV series, but insist they'll never open their home to cameras. TV execs are often puzzled when she refuses to follow Jessica Simpson's example and reveal all about her private life. Xtina told MTV: "We've been approached, actually, and it has been a question for some people, but my marriage and my relationship with my husband is something that I really want to protect." She feels sorry for the stars of the first wave of celebrity at home shows, who have now become media targets. "You're open to all the judgment in the world. At least now I can say: Well, you don't know my situation and it's very private and special and sacred to me." That would definitely be a better version but then Xtina is smart enough to keep some things away from the public.

Kate Moss and Pete Doherty have revived their romance after the Babyshambles star's recent rehab progress. The treatment he has undergone after a brush with the law seems to have had a positive effect. They were recently spotted at the Rhythm Festival in Clapham, where they were seen acting affectionately. A bystander said: "They got out of the car and held hands as they walked to the VIP area - laughing and touching each other the whole time. They were acting like a couple of honeymooners. You've never seen a couple so tactile. They were kissing passionately and didn't leave each other's side all night." Other onlookers observed that the rocker seemed "clean-cut and coherent", and spoke about how "amazing" he felt after his latest stint in rehab. A friend of the couple revealed: "Kate is convinced he is serious about quitting the habit - and they are falling in love all over again." A good possibility this might be true. He does look more normal and human these days.

Kylie Minogue's fiance Olivier Martinez has spoken publicly for the first time about how he coped with the pop star's cancer ordeal. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. When life tests you, you have to do your best. I'm there for her," he explained. Kylie prompted speculation she was soon to marry when she said: "I would love children - we have to see." But Olivier - who was described as Kylie's 'rock' admits: "I'm very happy the way things are." This dude is a good man. I think our pop princess has found Neo.

Keira Knightley is adamant that she will not get romantically entangled with her co-stars because when she's on the set she wants to be seen as a professional. Keira is currently dating Rupert Friend but insists they didn't get together until after the filming had finished. She told In Style mag: "I haven't ever had an on-set romance with anyone." But that's not to say she doesn't think about Rupert while she's working. She is currently filming Silk in Italy and is using her time over there to pick up a few phrases to impress Rupert. She explained: "An Italian expression I have picked up is 'Baciami, mio caro', which translates as 'kiss me, my darling'." Not bad, indeed.
