Johnny Borrell has denied being involved in feuds with other groups. The singer wants to finally set the record straight - insisting that he has no problem with Kasabian or The Strokes. "I regret nothing. There were a lot of bands that started out at the same time as us," he told the Daily Star. "We were new boys in the playground showing off. Us and Kasabian - that's silly. I saw them on TV and they were so clearly into what they do. I read some stuff The Strokes were meant to have said about me. The night before that came out, I was at a party and had my photo taken with Albert Hammond Jr. So why was the photo never printed? I guess because it would've shown there was no fall-out." Guess he knows who are the current masters of rock. Wonder if Johnny has forgiven the currently 'more human' looking Pete Doherty for the brawl between themselves at the Leeds Festival last year. I'm slowly getting impressed by Razorlight's second album.


Robbie Williams is keeping all the details of his red-hot lovers in a little black book. He has made four conquests in the past week during his Close Encounters world tour. And now he has started a saucy tour journal recording their names, contact details, descriptions and ratings for their romps in a book of Sin, Sin, Sin. A spy revealed: "Robbie has so many one-night stands, he can't keep track of who he's slept with. So he decided to start a book detailing his conquests so he can cherish the memories. He also wants to keep in touch with some of the girls and hook up with them next time he's in town. So the notebook helps him remember which ones he might want to meet in future, and what they were like in the bedroom." Life is beautiful for Robb so far... Most of the dudes out there keep track of simpler stuff, like which footie matches are coming up.

After a day shrouded in mystery, Cheryl Tweedy tonight arrived at her wedding - under a genuine shroud. The singer tied the knot with Ashley Cole in a chapel at a Hertfordshire stately home after a prolonged game of bluff and double-bluff with the press. It may not have been quite the wedding of Charles and Diana, but the couple - who have signed an exclusive deal with OK! Magazine said to be worth 1 million pounds - kept the media keen with a wild goose chase. Staff at two separate stately homes appeared to have been briefed to dupe the press over the self-styled showbiz wedding of the year. But the game of double bluff finally came to an end tonight as tabloid favourite Tweedy drew up outside the Holy Trinity Chapel at Wrotham Park in Barnet, Hertfordshire, draped in a sheet. One bystander caught a glimpse of a pair of white or silver shoes as the singer arrived for the service. But any doubts about who was under the sheet were dispelled by the sight of England and Arsenal defender Cole sporting a silver suit nearby. The couple were later due to move on to the Palladian mansion itself, the setting for scenes from the film Gosford Park, for a reception. Earlier, media had gathered outside Highclere Castle in Berkshire, only to discover that they had been hoaxed. Staff admitted that they had agreed to take part in a deliberate charade to keep journalists away from the wedding. A security guard, who did not want to be named, said that the couple were originally booked to get married at the spectacular Berkshire stately home. But when word got out, Ashley Cole asked the Earl of Carnarvon, whose family owns the country house, not to deny the rumours. This secret mission to deceive everyone has worked well.

Zane Lowe should have known better. Dirty Pretty Things clobbered the MTV UK presenter when he told them to stop smoking backstage at this weekend's (08-09 July) Oxegen festival in Ireland. The DPT gang were busy drinking after their performance and were in no mood to be told what to do. An onlooker says, "The band were on a bender and lit up in a no-smoking area. When Zane asked them to stop, Didz punched him and the others joined in." A spokesperson for Mtv is keen to play down the seriousness of the incident: "Luckily Zane was OK and didn't make a fuss about it". How can he expect a bunch of rock n roll boys to move away from their resting area after entertaining the massive crowd?

The Killers will return Sept 18 with "When You Were Young" the first single from their highly anticipated second album, "Sam's Town." The album is due Oct 2 in the United Kingdom and a day later in North America via Island Def Jam. Other tracks believed to be on the new album include 'Why Do I Keep Counting?', 'Bones', 'Uncle Johnny Did Cocaine', 'Read My Mind' and 'Bling'. I don't fancy that new track. Sounds crappy.

Spice Girls Sighting!

Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell attended to a Buckingham Palace Garden party in London (14 Jul) , in honour of Celebrity Ambassadors and staff of The Princes Trust. The party was held as part of the anniversary celebrations for The Princes Trust Charity. The Princes Trust works with young people that are in schools, in care, or are long-term unemployed and disadvantaged in the United Kingdom, to help develop confidence and motivation for careers through support and finance. They both look great and it is nice seeing non-pencil-thin figures for a change.
