Cheryl Tweedy has denied rumours that Girls Aloud are splitting. She insists that the group want to record a fourth album of new tracks - instead of a Greatest Hits CD as originally planned. "After our tour finished we went into the studio to record three new songs for the Greatest Hits," Cheryl said. "We've come up with six tracks we love and are now thinking we should do a new studio album instead." She is set to get married this weekend after months of preparations. She added, "When Ashley and I get back from honeymoon we'll have a meeting with our record label and see about putting back the Greatest Hits. Pop is on a roll right now with Lily Allen and Nelly Furtado - and we want to continue being a part of it." Now that is a relief.

Meanwhile, her band mates have compiled a video of the bride-to-be's 'best bits' to unveil on her wedding day. They have created the video off the back of their E4 documentary 'Girls Aloud: Off the Record'. The footage features the girls playing drinking games, talking about past conquests as well as recording the run up to Cheryl's marriage on Saturday. Sarah said: "I came up with the idea as I got this amazing camcorder a few months ago. The working title is Wedding Planners. There's some funny footage of us getting into the bridesmaid dresses for the first time. We had a bit of a disaster when I lost my bag in Shanghai. Luckily our tour manager called all the places we'd been to and one restaurant had the bag and the tapes were safe inside." Sarah and the rest of the band will be presenting the home made documentary to Cheryl on Saturday at her top secret wedding do.

Lady Sovereign's album date confirmed. It will be on October 3rd. Her next single is going to be 'Love Me Or Hate Me'. Basement Jaxx have helped out on the album and there are rumours of other great people joining forces with the talented midget MC.

Joss Stone splashed out nearly 100,000 pounds this weekend to take her grandfather to the World Cup final. The singer spent 95,000 pounds to charter a private jet home from the Caribbean on Friday so that she could take Edwin Skillin to the big game in time. Tickets for them and three other family members cost a further 2,500 pounds. "When Joss said she was taking him, he thought she was joking," a friend told The Mirror. "He couldn't believe his ears." They must had a good time seeing a quality match. Joss-y had previously been enjoying a holiday with Lemar - though both deny that they are an item.

Johnny Depp has to watch his favourite children's shows Teletubbies and The Wiggles on his own - because his own kids have grown out of them. (??????) He became hooked on the series, after catching Lily-Rose and Jack glued to them. But now the pair have moved onto more sophisticated viewing and he's still addicted. He says, "I'm disappointed because my kids are growing out of Teletubbies and The Wiggles, and I wanted to continue watching them. "So I will." Looks like the spirit of Willy Wonka is still burning strong.

Keira Knightley has labelled herself a "control freak" regarding the insistence on maintaing her independence and control over major career decisions. She has kept the same agents since the beginning of her career and refuses to employ a host of extra staff. Keira said: "This is my name, my career, so I've got to be in some control. If I make a mistake, then I make a mistake. That's life. I think I'm a control freak. You can't let it all out of your hands and it keeps you in touch with real life. I'm the most disorganised person, but I'd rather be that than have somebody looking after me like a nanny. It would be freaky,". She plans to take a year out from acting to travel because she is sick of working so intensively. Currently promoting P.o.t.C in between working on the third installment of the franchise and another film based on an Ian McEwan novel has taken it's toll. She told Wenn: "Last weekend I worked 32 hours straight promoting Pirates of the Caribbean, and the weekend before too. I really need some time off. Even my parents think I need a break." This means more of sunny beach time with Rupert?






Keira will donate her gold Gucci dress - which she wore at the London premiere - to raise money for charity. She says, "I'd like to give it to charity for them to sell. It's not the kind of thing you can get away with wearing twice." Keira raised money for charity when the gown she wore to the Oscars ceremony was sold in an online auction earlier this year. This goldie item should be fetching an enormous amount. Nicole Richie might well be interested..

Lindsay Lohan is buying a home in the UK after falling for actor Rhys Ifans. She was introduced to him by Kate Moss, who is also helping Lohan to find a pad in London. "Falling for Rhys was really the icing on the cake for Lindsay. She already loves hanging out with Kate in London," a source told the Daily Star. "She's celebrating the fact she can dress like a rock chick, rather than a perma-tanned Hollywood clone, and can drink and eat without worry. It's an amazing relief to be in England where things are more liberal. She loves that it's different here." Is he the only reason for her choice of staying in UK? Of course it isn't. Lindsay has also confessed that she has her eye on Prince Harry. She prefers him to his older bro because she enjoys the company of rebellious men. "Harry is definitely more my type. So.. Kaiser Chiefs insist that there is no spat between them and Kasabian. They have completely rubbished the whole affair insisting they are good friends with Kasabian and didn't even play on the same days as them at the festivals over the weekend where the war of words was alleged to have escalated. They said: "You might have read some tabloid nonsense about us having a war with Kasabian, rubbish flies around in the press all the time, but we feel this time we should intervene as this is completely fabricated. Creative journalism at it's worst. We consider Kasabian as friends and have enjoyed their company whenever we've met...it's quite the opposite from what's reported, we have respect for Kasabian and wish them the best of luck with their new record." Looks like they have sided with the powerhouse group. Wise move.

On the other hand, The Automatic have labeled Kasabian 'pathetic' for their recent tirade against a series of artists. Keyboardist Pennie has snubbed the name calling and thinks that pop big gob Lily Allen is no better. Asked what acts he hated, Pennie said: "Well I'm not going to be as pathetic as Kasabian and slag other bands off... there’s just no need for it. But I have to say that Lily Allen is a bit annoying running round squeaking 'I've got number one, I've got number one!' I don't care who's at number one.. she'll only be there a week or so anyway!" Has he even listened to any of her songs? Maybe he hates anything that is pop! ...and monstrous kasabian.
