Black Whistler

Johnny Depp may be moving to Britain. He has bought a 500,000 pounds house in Bath and has been seen looking around local schools with Vanessa Paradis. Depp has lived in France since the birth of their daughter Lily-Rose seven years ago, but now the couple appears keen to move to England. The pair fell in love with the city while Johnny was filming the movie 'Chocolat' in 2000. He said, "We want to spend a lot more time there in the future because it's a completely different way of life. It will be our home base." Although the actor cannot decide where to settle down, he once made it clear he will never return to his homeland. He said, "America is dumb. It's like a dumb puppy that has big teeth that can bite and hurt you, it's aggressive." First it was Nicole Kidman.. now it's Johnny dude invading the U.K. He will definitely have more secret photographers haunting him by then. Find out what is in Depp's voice mail. [link]

Meanwhile, Colin Farrell has expressed his desire to shoot a film in his native Ireland after working in Hollywood for several years. He said: "I do intend to go to Ireland and do something there in the future." Despite Miami Vice currently topping the US box office, Farrell is still nervous about the films being a success. He confessed: "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't f***ing nervous. This film cost a lot of money to make and a lot of people invested a lot of energy and time into it. It was ten months of our lives. My sister will call me and tell me how it's done. If I don't get a phone call, I know I'm in trouble." Don't see any reason to worry about that... Maybe he missed the Irish beer back home?

Joe Cole revealed: "I wasn't there the time Duffer got up (to sing) but he's got a good voice. Irish people generally like a good sing-song but I don't think Westlife will sign him up." Apparently, the rest of the Chelski boys are all terrible singers.

The rehab sessions has its rewards for Mr Pete. Kate Moss has invited Pete Doherty to join her on a month-long holiday in Bali, if he stays off drugs. Kate has booked a beachside villa for the two of them, and her daughter Lila, for the whole of August and a mutual friend has revealed: "Kate will pay for the trip if he stays clean." Pete cancelled a Babyshambles gig in Ibiza last week in order to enter rehab. Would be nice if he does some small show performance should he arrive.

They are The Pipettes and they have no regrets! Girl power is on the attack.. on their indie-boy contemporaries. The Brighton three-piece have slammed Razorlight, branded Dirty Pretty Things "the worst band in the world" and called Pete Doherty "just a celebrity who's renowned for being a smack head". Ouch. However, it's The Kooks who really get the girls' riled up - especially after witnessing Luke Pritchard claim their home-town crowd as his own when the bands played together at this year's Great Escape festival. Becki fumes in a radio interview, "They were like, 'It's really nice to be home,' and they're not even from Brighton! Music integrity, please? Luke said, 'It's something of a homecoming for me.' F**k off!" Ooh la la! Baaaad Luke. Becki added: "We hate the Kooks.. we have to dislike them because they were made at the same stage school as Rooster!" Whilst Gwenno - who, as a native of Wales, is free from such territorial concerns - thinks Luke should improve his manners - and his choice of head wear. She says, "When he was on Jonathan Ross, he had his legs up on the sofa and he was just being a rude little boy. We haven't got the time for those kind of boys... and that stupid straw hat he wears!" Rather see him with the hat than wearing polka-dot shirts, yah? The Pipettes's next single, 'Judy' is set for release on September 25th. Fantastic choice.

1) Peter Bjorn and John - Young Folks
This new indie-pop band has produced a very masterful easy listening track which is sure to calm you down and just wanna sing along with. Can't get enough of the whistling and this reminds me of the 'Songbird'. Yeah. It's THAT good.

2) Cansei De Ser Sexy - Let's Make Love And Listen Death From Above
Their name means "tired of being sexy" and they are from Brazil. If you can remember the movie 'Flashdance' and those funny Sesame Street video clips featuring some crazy people prancing around the streets in the retro 80s outfits, then CSS is exactly in the same mould. Oh, and the music is addictive as well.

3) The Spinto Band - Did I Tell You?
A new video from the talented boys of Spinto. What I like about them is the way they really meant the words, like telling a real life story. Not easy to stop listening to their stuff.

Kylie Minogue has been voted as the person men would most like to be seated next to on a plane. Kylie topped a British Airways poll and she was followed by Rachel Stevens. Female passengers are hoping to sit next to George Clooney on a long haul flight; he beat back competition from Robbie Williams and Jude Law. A B.A spokeswoman said of the poll: "Everyone is intrigued about who will turn up in the next seat and Kylie would obviously be a dream companion for most men. I think we all sit there and look at the passengers joining the flight and hope we get someone exciting as a neighbour." Just remember you are more like to be seated next to a snoring, drooling person rather then Kylie or George.
