And so ends another marriage from the celeb world, this time involving a 'loving' couple. Kate Hudson and her rocker husband Chris Robinson have separated. Her representative confirms she has split from The Black Crowes frontman, after nearly six years of marriage. This event is totally unexpected by many. Hudson's spokesperson Brad Cafarelli said: "Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson have confirmed that they are separated." The couple wed on New Year's Eve 2000 after dating for nearly a year. They have son Ryder Russell, who was born on January 7, 2004.

They embarked on a whirlwind romance after meeting at a party in New York. After just four days they moved in together and six months later tied the knot in Aspen, Colorado. Chris is the lead singer for The Black Crowes and Kate had previously said: "I think he's just the most incredible singer and he has an amazing voice." And just so you're wondering who those two are, it is Kate having a smooch with Jennifer Aniston. Maybe it is the 'Welcome to the singles club again' embrace they do over there.

Been very impressed by them so far. They have two singers, one female and one male and the album "We Are Pilots" (out 3rd October) is going to be split 50/50 on vocals. Look out for the wonderful change in melody at the bridge. I'm currently addicted to it.


This is great! Dido says she's "full steam ahead" with her new album, although don't expect to see anything until 2007. Recording sessions in LA for the follow-up to 2003's "Life For Rent" had been going well - and throwing up some unexpected results. "The process is a lot of fun this time, I'm experimenting a lot with different instruments and ways of making sounds etc," says Dido. "I think realistically it'll be next year now," she adds. "I've got tons of stuff I'm really proud of written and I'm in the studio every day here in LA recording. I'm actually dying to get stuff out there and play people things but because I'm doing things a little differently this time I don't want to rush it." Now this new stuff should be another brilliant offering from the talented singer.

Liam Gallagher has adopted a monkey at London Zoo! Together with his bro, they recently brought his children to the popular attraction and fell in love with the primates. Noel joked the zoo's Red-Faced Black Spider Monkey was strikingly similar to Liam. A friend says, "It's a very clever way for Liam to get around buying a real pet for the kids. This way he can keep them happy without having to feed and look after an animal while they're with their mums." Nice.

Noel Gallagher wants to write songs for his new drinking buddies Arctic Monkeys. He was impressed by the lads after ex-Monkey Andy Nicholson stuffed him in a tequila drinking contest in May. And a pal said: "Noel doesn't want to tour any more. He'd prefer to write for other people and top of the list is the Arctic Monkeys. He really likes lead singer Alex Turner and thinks they could be the next Oasis." Don't think so. But writing some songs for them should be alright.

Sir Bob Geldof is said to be frantic with worry over his party loving daughter Peaches, and Noel has promised to take care of her at the Ibiza Rocks festival. While Peaches and Noel were both in Bar M he took her to one side to have a fatherly word in her ear. A source said: "Noel was really sweet and fatherly towards Peaches. He told her he loved her work as a DJ and that she could be a huge star. He was quite concerned about her overdoing things though, but she reassured him that she was OK. He also told her that whatever the situation or problem, no matter what time of day or night it was, she could go to him." Her dad will be pleased..

The Fratellis have revealed the full details of their debut album which is set for release next month. Entitled 'Costello Music' the record will arrive in the shops on September 11. A special edition CD and DVD version of the album will feature video promos for 'Henrietta' and 'Creepin' Up The Backstairs' plus footage of the bands gig at Glasgow's ABC2.

Dirty Pretty Things release a new single 'Wondering', on Monday 25th September. The band will also release a DVD, Puffing On A Coffin Nail, Live At The Forum on Monday 16th October.

Drew Barrymore has revealed she is finally ready to start a family. Speaking to InStyle magazine in promotion of her new film "Music and Lyrics by" Barrymore explained how she had changed. She said: "I definitely feel the beginnings of a tick tock. Whether I have children or adopt - whatever form a family comes in, I would absolutely love to have it." However, she admits she has a lot to learn first: "I can't cook. Fab makes a few good things, but we mostly order in." Barrymore has also learned to love her body, she added: "You can't look at models and feel bad about yourself. I'm not the kind of girl who can stuff her face with pasta all the time and not gain weight. I've been running and doing yoga and Pilates, and I love the way it makes my mind and body feel, I really don't obsess about it." We shall await what Mr Moretti has in store for her, then.

Ashton Kutcher is still over the moon about marrying Demi Moore and taking on her three children. Kutcher has no plans to have any kids of his own as he feels like an additional father to her three kids. He claimed that his relationship with Moore has changed since marrying a year ago and that it still "has the same energy as before but more depth". He added: "When it comes down to it, my family is what I do everything for. There is not a human being I could love more than those girls and their mom." Maybe he is just diverting the attention away from Demi's factory not being able to work anymore?
