Eyes Wide Open
Can you feel the love tonight? Some people in Tobago certainly don't... Church leaders in Tobago want Sir Elton John banned from headlining a music festival on the Caribbean island amid fears he will turn locals gay. He is due to perform at the Plymouth Jazz Festival in April, but his visit has been condemned. Philip Isaac, archdeacon of Trinidad and Tobago, says, "His visit to the island can open the country to be tempted towards pursuing his lifestyle." But festival organiser Anthony Maharaj has spoken out in support of John, and says, "We should be honoured to have him. This is a man who was knighted by the queen, who was highly complimented by (Former South African archbishop) Desmond Tutu." The only kind of impact he would bring is his singing ability. Just don't bring David along.
A film fan has offered the 15,000 pounds asking price for the chair on to which James Bond fell during the film You Only Live Twice. The tan leather and stainless steel '60s chaise was on sale at the Kings Road Antiques Fair at Chelsea Old Town Hall. In the film, Bond lands on the chair after he falls through a stainless steel chute into Tiger Tanaka's office. Owner Paul Meyer said he had received an offer of the asking price but he did not consider the deal complete until he had been given the money. He said the buyer was very knowledgeable about the film and even told him Connery hurt his back when he landed on the chair. Meyer said: "It's in very good condition. There are a few scuffs but it's a unique item." Wonder if that buyer decides to re-enact that scene in his backyard again and again.
Success through the backdoor? Joss Stone was accused by music producer Dallas Austin of "f***ing for tracks". In a new interview with Rowdy.tv, Austin claims the soul singer had sexual relationships with her collaborators to get attention and preferential treatment. He says - mentioning musician Novel and producer Raphael Saadiq, who both worked on her new album, "You go in the studio and girls like Joss are just trying to get as much attention as they can from producers. The girls in studios and producers are known to have relationships. Novel rang me every five minutes saying she was the most wonderful girl in the world, I said, 'Don't fall for that s**t!'" Fact or fiction? Joss is due to appear in a magazine advert promoting vegetarianism which is being run by campaign group PETA in an effort to convert people away from eating meat. "There are so many other things we can eat. I have never eaten meat in my life and I'm 5ft 10in and not exactly wasting away. A wise man once said, 'Animals are my friends and I'm not in the habit of eating my friends.' That is exactly how I feel" At least this might earn her some brownie points.

LOST Season 3 Ep 12 - Par Avion
She only had two flashback eppys but they were incredible (R.B.A / M.L) ones. This time round, we learnt about a new revelation regarding Claire and one of the main characters. Years back before the crash, Claire was a goth-chick who rebelled against her mum time and again. One unfortunate day, they got involved in a car crash where the mum went into a coma. A familiar face appeared who is the aunt of Claire by the name of Lindsey. The doctor in charge told them that someone had paid for the bills and wanted the identity to be undisclosed. Who is this mysterious person? Back in camp, Claire found out a way to find help to get them of the island. Desmond didn't seem pleased about the idea which would eventually lead to Charlie's death. Funny how Des warned Charlie about going boar hunting would be a 'bad' idea just as Claire wanted his help to catch some seagulls. Poor Sawyer can't complete his nickname (Barb...) towards Claire with a stern Sun looking back. After a plan to catch the birds got foiled by Des, Claire confronted Charlie about him not wanting to help her find rescue at which Charlie looked wrecked because Claire didn't know about the visions. Meanwhile, Locke & gang along with Mikhail were faced with a sonic security fence surrounding the barracks. Interestingly Kate asked the Russian stuff about how he came to the island. They actually have submarines. Mikhail was recruited by a "magnificent man". He got to the island via submarine and Ben is not at the top of The Others food chain. He also told them they wouldn't understand The Others way of life because weren't on the list. They don't recruit people who are flawed(Kate), afraid(Locke), weak/frightened(Sayid) at which he knows their first and last names. "Because the John Locke I know was par.." which got cut off by Danielle as she saw that sonic barrier. How did Mikhail know the surnames of the survivors, and how did he know about Locke's paralysis? After being told that the fence doesn't work anymore, Locke pushed Mikhail through it and got a "Thank you." Which led to cerebral hemorrhage damage done to him causing his death. The gang then successfully crossed over the pylons. At seaside, Claire spotted Des and Charlie having a discussion and later followed Des to a secluded area where he caught a seagull. Claire demanded answers.. Back to the hospital, the person who footed her mum's bills was in the ward. It turned out to be Jack's dad, Christian! Not so surprising about that but for Claire it was. Aunt Lindsey ordered him to leave the room but Claire wanted to know who he was. Christian told her the truth. This means baby Aaron has an Uncle Jack! While working at a tattoo parlour, Claire had her dad coming over wanting to have coffee. He then told her about the fling with her mum and why he didn't come back because Aunt Lindsey hates him for having another family. He wanted Claire to discontinue the life support to end the guilt and this made Claire angry. Some time later, a non-goth blonde Claire visited her mum before she left on the 815 flight and asked for forgiveness. She was willing to give away her baby to an unnamed couple in America because she can't do it on her own. Do the Others know that Claire and Jack are half-siblings? Back at the beach, Des finally gave in by telling Claire about his visions of Charlie getting pounded by the rocks while helping him catch a seagull. Upon hearing this, she forgave the rock star and together they penned a letter to get rescue. Danielle and the hunting gang discovered the barracks which was actually a friendly community consisted of houses as seen from the first episode. Twilight Zone moment came when Jack was seen running towards them. Is he getting away? Nah, he was going for a long run while awaiting a rugby ball thrown by... Tom?!?!?!? What was happening there?? They were playing a game like two buddies on a Sunday afternoon. Kate's shocked look was priceless while Locke's eyes were brightened by this scene. How do the Others safely cross the Sonic Barrier? When Flight 815 crashed, Ethan and Goodwin had limited amount of time to make it to the wreckage. Has Jack made a deal with the Others or somehow been "converted" by them?
Cheryl Tweedy has confessed she beat up an ex-boyfriend who cheated on her. The feisty singer - who assaulted a cloakroom attendant in a London nightclub - has warned Ashley that if he cheats on her he will be "dead". Cheryl told TOTP mag: "If anyone cheated on me they'd be dead! "I've been cheated on in the past. And when I was, I gave the blokes a few rights and lefts." Would be sweet if she performed it on that left back.

Two ladies are against the "Paris Hilton" way of life. First, Hilary Duff has condemned the socialite for her attention-seeking habits. Duff is upset by the heiress's publicity stunts to grab the limelight. "Paris brings attention to herself. Some people do things on a night out they know will get talked about," quoted Duff. Second nemesis Mischa Barton has branded Paris a "fake celebrity". The actress rubbished claims that she is friends with her, insisting they socialise in different circles. Mischa said: "Paris and I are not in the same crowd, I don't know her. It's true that I am friends with Nicole Richie but that's it. I think there's a difference between people who are famous because of the work they do and fake celebrities." Guess we now know who won't be invited to her future parties.

Blinding fear? Babyshambles are afraid of being eclipsed by other bands on the British music scene if they fail to harness the potential of troubled frontman Pete. Drummer Adam Ficek believes it is make-or-break time for the band - but hopes the group's strong musical ethic will make their new album a success with Doherty on board. He says, "We're lucky enough to have another stab and if we don't get it right this time, there are so many great bands out there that'll just overtake us. But everybody is maturing in the band and we're getting stronger as a unit. Musically, we're stronger than we've ever been." Hope for a great new album.
Michelle Pfeiffer was thrilled when a woman approached her in the street and thanked her for having such small breasts. Fans often thank her for being a naturally beautiful actress and it makes her day. Michelle told Access Hollywood: "A woman walked up to me and made my day by commenting on my breasts. I made her feel sexy about her small breasts and that made me feel really good. I walked away thinking, 'I'm hot!'" Despite radiating natural beauty, Michelle hasn't ruled out having plastic surgery - one day. She said: "I don't have anything against it. If one day, I look in the mirror and I just can't stand it anymore, than I may be right there." She's gotta do what's right, aye.

Hey who stole his nick? Tom Jones has slammed British opera star Russell Watson for stealing his nickname. Veteran singer Jones has been called 'The Voice' since the 60s, but Watson has register the musical moniker as a trademark. Mark Woodward, Tom's son and manager branded Watson's name-pilfering as "presumptuous". A spokesman for Watson says, "He's always been called The Voice. Compared to Jones, Russell Watson is the new kid on the block who shot to fame in 2001 with his debut album "The Voice". Granted that Russell has fantastic vocals but when the legend gets upset, it's not unusual for this kind of reaction.
They have come undone again... Duran Duran have decided to ditch their latest album after guitarist Andy Taylor quit. Taylor walked out midway through the US leg of the British band's world tour in October (06), just as Duran Duran were in the studio. Keyboardist Nick Rhodes admits the split was difficult, but insists the band's new material is close to completion. He says, "The album had to be scrapped when five became four. We started again and now we're nearly there." The big question is, why bother?
