Choco Fight
Liz Hurley and German-Indian businessman Arun Nayar tied the knot last Friday at Sudeley Castle in the Cotswolds. That was the start of a colourful, traditional Indian-style wedding celebration spread over six days. During the ceremony Liz cried tears of joy as she said her vows, whilst clutching her four year old son Damian's hand. The couple then left the ceremony to Mendelssohn's The Wedding March. And what did the bride wear? Versace of course; the sleeveless dress was off-white v-necked with frills at the hem. The pair held a blessing and party at the castle on Saturday evening, with guests including Elton John, Kate Moss, Elle Macpherson and Hugh Grant. The couple attended a 'haldi (turmeric)' ceremony where a paste of turmeric, milk and cream is applied to the bride and groom. The couple will then head to Jodhpur in central Rajasthan where wedding celebrations will continue from Wednesday.
Pete Doherty's former bandmate Carl Barat has confirmed that the two have patched up their differences to such an extent that Pete has asked Carl to be his best man. Carl revealed: "We had a heart-to-heart the other day and at the end of the conversation, Pete asked me if I'd be up for being his best man. At first I thought he was joking. But he told me he and Kate were desperate to marry and his offer was deadly serious. I was shocked but delighted. I'm going to do a speech and Pete suggested I do a reading, something like Chekhov." Time has healed old wounds for these libs.

Panty-ful will always be part of her dress code.. There will be no chance of Jessy Simpson getting caught without underwear because she always cover up those areas. She is astonished so many young celebrities have been snapped panty-less, and would be horrified to find pictures of her genitals splashed across mags and the internet. Jessy says, "I don't understand what's going on with that. I'm the kind of girl who always puts my hand between my legs when I'm getting out of a car if I'm wearing a short skirt. I always wear underwear. It's a personal rule." Don't expect a Mayer to overrule that decision.

A lil unstable Joss Stone has now complained that she is unlucky in love, insisting, "Guys don't like me". The singer is worried that her fame and statuesque height intimidate potential boyfriends. She told Daily Mirror: "Guy's don't like me. Maybe I'm too tall or too famous or too difficult. If I like someone, they either don't like me or they mess with me." Poor kid. But hanging out with gal buddies is also proving difficult.. "Girls don't like me either. I'm lonely." Some punters might be thinking of putting odds for a soul singer visiting the rehab soon.
Disappearing soon? Nicole Richie was hospitalised for dehydration last week while filming the new season of The Simple Life. The walking pole was examined by a doctor on the TV show's set before being taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. She was given intravenous fluids for 15 minutes before she was released. Her rep said: "Nicole is home resting and will return to work this evening. We are proud of the weight that Nicole is gaining and her focus on her health." Richie announced last October that she is undergoing treatment to help her to gain weight. Maybe an increment of 2-3 kgs is an olympian effort for this woman.

Sandra Bullock has come to terms with her husband's daredevil lifestyle, and has accepted accidents are going to be part of marriage. Jesse James enjoys an adventurous, speedy life, and Bullock insists she won't be trying to get her man to cut out the danger. She says: "There's always going to be hospital stays.. like twice a year at least. I have all the information for insurance always close by in a wallet or in a purse." She was fully aware of her husband's hobbies adding: "I knew what I was getting into. Within three months of our relationship, he wrecked a car at 120 miles per hour and almost died." Gotta balance the highs and lows, aye?
All Saints have been dumped by their record label, it was confirmed. The band launched a comeback in November, five years after they split. Their single Rock Steady was a top three hit but album 'Studio 1' just scraped into the chart at number 40. Record company Parlophone decided to part company with the band after new single Chick Fit failed to make an impression. It said in a statement: "Both the label and the group are proud of the album Studio 1. All Saints are excited about moving forwards with their career and Parlophone wishes them the best of luck." Guess their old formula can't compete with the Alouds' generation.

Ricky Wilson has hit back at journalists who have slammed Kaiser Chief's new album. It has received a damning response from many quarters, with Gigwise labeling it "the sound of a band hitting a creative brick wall." But Wilson is defiant in the face of adversity, insiting they have made "a great record." He told 6music: "I don't want to sound big-headed, but anyone who says they don't like the new album is just lying. It's weird, we know it's good." Apart from a couple of tracks, most of Angry Mob material do leave a lot to be desired.
Brett Anderson has announced details of a UK tour for late spring. He is about to embark on a sold-out three night residency at London's Bush Hall next week where he will be showcasing material from his debut solo album, released on March 26. It's preceded by the single 'Love is Dead' on March 12. Anderson said of the song: 'Love Is Dead' is one of those rare songs that you manage to write every ten years that explains how you feel in exactly the right way. Not a big fan of that single but this other new one is quite impressive - [Dust And Rain].
