Jennifer Aniston has quit smoking and caffeine as part of an extreme detox. Plus, a new-found love of yoga is responsible for her efforts to make changes in other areas of her life. 'Dirt' actress Laura Allen told Us Weekly, "Jen was doing a total cleansing. She did a lot of yoga to stop smoking. Between takes, it would have been tempting to have a cigarette. Instead, Jenn was clinging to Courteney." In addition to resisting the temptation to indulge in smoking, Aniston also managed to refrain from caffeine. Allen adds, "I had a Diet Coke on-set and she was really jonesing for it!" At least she is doing something good for her own physical health instead of moaning about her love life, no kids, etc.



Power of speech? Mischa Barton has revealed her first choice career was to be a lawyer instead of an actress. She was born in London but moved to New York with her family at the age of five, and she couldn't be more proud of her origins
Mischa said, "I'm so proud of my roots. I feel very English and if we'd stayed in London I'd probably be a lawyer now." Her Los Angeles home is also well stocked with tastes of England. She added, "I have Lucozade and Ribena in my fridge, and Marmite and Weetabix on the cupboard." Wonder what kind of UK boys attracts this gal. Probably those of a hippie kind as well.





This is interesting! Girls Aloud and Arctic Monkeys have announced an unlikely collaboration. Sarah Harding said: "The big tip is we're going to collaborate. I love these boys. They've got a strong future ahead of them." Alex Turner added: "Matt Helders and Sarah in Rockford Studios, that's how it's going to work. Down in Wales for two weeks." Helders revealed: "I've got a backing track ready for us. It won't take two weeks." Arctic Monkeys once 'Love Machine', which has become a favourite with their fans. Should be a very good partnership this one.

He is reportedly dating top Italian model Sveva Gualdi and the couple has been spotted getting intimate on dates around New York. According to In Touch mag, Hartnett was spotted romancing Gualdi last week (Mar 2nd) as they strolled the streets together. An eyewitness said, "They were holding hands and kissing. They didn't care who saw them." The new couple reportedly met at a New York party and have been dating for about a month. Let's see how long this will last.



Scarlett Johansson has reportedly taken a swipe at Lindsay Lohan over her unprofessional behaviour on film sets. Lohan was publicly reprimanded by studio bosses last year (06) for her unprofessional behaviour on the set of Georgia Rule and now Scarlett has took a lil swipe at her. She told Parade mag, "I'm very responsible when I'm working. I've just been doing it for a long time and I'm not the kind of person who is going to show up to work three hours late, or maybe not come at all. That's just not who I am." Sounds like a tale of two life journeys. Double L won't respond to this coz she'd be too busy shopping and partying.

Jarvis Cocker has rubbished any rumours of a Pulp reunion in the future. He denied that there will ever be a comeback from the Britpop band, but only because it would be musically pointless. "Hell would have to freeze over first!" he laughed when quizzed on a potential reunion. "No, I don't know. The members of the group are all in touch with each other and all friendly, there have been no deaths that I know of. There is no barrier other than the fact that at the moment I can't really see a point. I am certainly not planning it at the moment." At least he has released a solo album so it's not all gloomy in Sheffield town.


WTH??? Liam Gallagher is set to open a beauty salon. He has snapped up premises in an exclusive suburb of north London. All this was done for Nicole Appleton. An insider said: "Being in the music industry, Liam and Nicole are well used to being pampered. But now the boot will be on the other foot and they will be doing the pampering." Liam has told the Appleton sisters they can run the salon in Belsize Park, north London, and choose a name for it. The source said: "Liam is so devoted to Nicole. He wants her to be happy, and this should do the trick." Such a gentleman you would say.

Anne Hathaway has slammed film directors who encourage actresses to lose weight before filming. Anne revealed she's been told by directors that she needs to lose weight for a role: "I've had directors go 'you're best for the role, but you've put on weight',' she told Glamour mag before adding: 'If they make a big deal about five pounds, I don't want to deal with them." Crazy fools those directors are. Starring in the upcoming film, "Becoming Jane", Anne has revealed she will quit the business if she hasn't done justice to the iconic character. But actor James McAvoy has defended the decision, saying: "I think you find the right actor - you don't find the right accent - and she is undoubtedly brilliant."


Lily Allen is not a happy camper. She has denied she was crying at the Brits because of her failure to win an award, and has slammed the media for printing the pictures. Lily told the BBC: "I knew 3 weeks before the Brits started that I hadn't won anything, so if I was disappointed it was long before the Brits happened. The papers are normally always wrong, but I do read them for entertainment value." The singer is also considering taking a step into acting, and is in talks with the BBC regarding a part in a serial drama. "That would be nice for me," she admitted. "It means I can stay in London for three months." Damn. She should come tour in Asia if given a chance.

Ashlee spent Saturday night on the hunt for a new man in L.A club Les Deux, before leaving with Neptunes star Chad Hugo. A source told the New York Post, "She tried to pick up Ryan Phillipe, but he wasn't interested. So then she hung out with Chad all night and left with him." However, Ashlee's representative has denied the reports, saying, "That is not true. She is working with Chad on her new album. There is nothing romantic going on." So, this girl really has a soft spot for rock musicians.
