Emily Blunt is to play Queen Victoria in a new film about the long-serving monarch. The actress is to star in The Young Victoria, a movie about the nineteenth century monarch's early life. The film's script will be written by Julian Fellowes and it will be directed by Jean-Marc Vallee. The Young Victoria promises to explore "the turbulent early years of Queen Victoria's rule, and her romance with Prince Albert." This might be her big break to get to the next level.






Whoops! Keanu Reeves has been questioned by police after allegedly hitting a photographer with his car in southern California. The Matrix star is said to have struck Alison Silva as he was reversing his black Porsche out of a parking space in Torrance. A spokesperson for L.A Police said: "Mr Reeves pulled out of a parking space parallel to the curb and grazed a paparazzo standing in the street in front of Mr Reeves' 1996 Porsche. The man fell to the ground. Paramedics were summoned, treated the man and later sent to a local hospital for further treatment." This ain't no man who.. Fran Healy told fans at a recent gig of his relief at finding out he doesn't fire blanks. The singer said the inspiration behind new song 'My Eyes' came from his relief at becoming a father for the first time. Fran told the audience at Glasgow's ABC: "It's a big thing in a guy's life when he discovers he doesn't fire blanks. It's great to know that it all works." Travis wowed a select crowd in their home town while showcasing songs from upcoming album The Boy With No Name. But all the old favourites were there as well. Their new ones will definitely be on par.


Lily Allen has dissed some UK acts trying to crack the States. She said: "Razorlight? I don't really know them and I don't want to. The only people I can think of worth speaking about are me and Winehouse, not boring Rae (Corinne Bailey Rae) or (Natasha) Bedingfield." Lily and Amy Winehouse have apparently finished their hostile dispute with each other after a meeting at the South by Southwest festival. The pair have battled through the British press over recent weeks but they have called it quits as they entertain an American audience at the music event. Allen confirms, "Me and the Winehouse have made up," before joking, "We're now lesbian lovers." Heh.

Didn't know anything about Trost but this German born singer has got some great tunes with catchy 60s a-go-go vibes. Dead Disco has been around since late last year and this remix is quite stunning to say the least. From their new album "The Bird Of Music", those Simone trio have stepped up a level this time round. This 'violent' track can be very addictive with layers and layers of lush melodies all throughout.



Nicole Richie reportedly collapsed again on the set of The Simple Life last week (Mar 14) . She was "taken to her trailer immediately"after fainting but later "had trouble walking and speaking clearly". Co-creator Jon Murray said that Nicole suffered from a dehydration thing: "There were a couple time when Nicole felt a little woozy and she sat down for a moment, but we continued within five to 10 minutes." This was the second time it happened, the first on March 2nd. Nicole is also said to have had trouble "walking and speaking clearly" while filming the fifth series of her reality show. Somebody feed that woman some burgers!

Been a long wait.. The Green Hornet is the latest superhero to make it to the big screen, after years of pre-production. The character of the Green Hornet was a big hit first on radio, then later comic books and TV, but never made the final jump to the big screen. But 80's kiddos out there would be excited about this. According to Imdb.com, producer David Moritz is behind the long awaited move to the big screen, though the timing is a strange one, what with the amount of other superhero films currently in development. The TV series in the 60's is famous for bringing a young Bruce Lee to the attention of American audiences. Lee played The Hornet's side-kick, Kato. Wonder who will get that role.. Daniel Dae Kim? He was called by that nickname once by youknowwho.
