You're Not The Law
Depp & Moss reunion? Johnny Depp has asked former lover Kate Moss to star alongside him in an upcoming Michael Hutchence biopic. Depp, who will play the late INXS frontman, split up with Kate-y in '97 after a stormy three year romance. But he is happy for Moss to get close again, and play Paula Yates in the rock movie. An insider said: "Johnny was asked if it would be a deal breaker for him if Kate was cast. He said 'Not as far as I'm concerned.' He figures there's been enough water under that bridge. Obviously director Nick Egan hoping there's still enough chemistry between them that will translate to the screen. It has been claimed she never got over him and in the film they'll have to appear deeply in love." That would be a great idea for sure.
Anne Hathaway, a Disney princess gone main stream, is featured in the June edition of In Style Magazine (click to enlarge). She has just finished filming 'A Devil Wears Prada' and the next project will be 'Becoming Jane' - a biographical portrait of a pre-fame Jane Austen and her romance with a young Irishman. Cool lady.
Lisa Scott Lee II?? Holly Valance is set for a music comeback after Madonna penned a new track for the former 'Neighbours' actress called 'System Overload'. "I'm a huge fan of Madonna, always have been," Valance said. "I just hope the fans like what they hear, I've grown up." Valance has been recording the new album in L.A. The album will be out later this year. Should be worth checking it out. Her previous dance hits are somewhat in the 'Kylie' veins but not sure why her music career waned. Aunt Maddy may help resurrect it.
The very last scene BEFORE the credits and this one after totally got rid of some of my rants about the film. I love Ian McKellen's acting... you could just read the thoughts in his face as he realized he could feel the metal in the chess pieces, and then it wobbled. Which makes sense, because they didn't really have a lot of time to perfect that drug, and if you moved away from that boy who caused their powers to disappear, they would come back. My guess is, they never got it to become permanent, they only extended the time in which one remained 'normal'. So Rogue's powers will return after she gets busy with Bobby a few times, Magneto's are coming back, Xavier isn't dead after all. Also, the director was sneaky and we never actually SAW Scott die, and Jean only said 'I think I killed Scott', not 'I killed Scott.' So I'm guessing he's not really gone either. Also, in the comics, one of the things most insisted on is that the Dark Phoenix will never really let Jean die. So... it's wide, wide, wide open.
Producers are planning four different spin-off movies featuring characters from X-Men film trilogy. Hugh Jackman has already signed on for Wolverine, which will begin shooting next year. And 20th Century Fox's production president Hutch Parker says, "We've also talked about doing something on the kids in (Professor X's) school, focusing on their lives, and less of a global adventure for the team." The studio is also exploring a movie based on the character of Emma Frost, a sexy mutant telepath who can transform her skin into diamonds. She is an X-Men comics regular, but does not feature in any of the movies. Another solo project is currently being written called Magneto, which will focus on the character's pre-villain days. That should the mutant fans occupied for a while. But if they could, PLEASE bring Gambit into the stories!

Will Avril Lavigne be leaving the music industry? After two albums, Avril is considering taking a sidestep full time into acting. Her most recent acting role was a voice over on 'Over The Hedge', but in a recent interview, reveals its just the start of her big screen ambitions. Talking to TV Hits mag, she said: "I've had a singing career for five years. I'm ready to try out new stuff and have some fun. I like more serious roles like 'Girl Interrupted'. I would enjoy doing a film on the darker side, something serious with depth. I'm good at expressing myself and getting all my emotions out." If she's really calling it quits as a singer, the pop world loses a genuine artiste. Oh well...
Another rumoured story is regarding Sarah Harding, who will be leaving G.A after completing the final night of the girls' UK arena tour at Wembley Arena last Saturday. A source tells the Daily Star, "Sarah has been in Girls Aloud since 2002 and thinks it's finally time to make a go of it on her own. She's bored of the saccharine sweet stuff Girls Aloud do and wants a grittier musical direction. Her relationship with the other girls is also becoming strained. But Sarah's such a huge part of the band, they fear their time's up." What the hell... don't think it's true. This is not some SugaB or Clea mid-table pop group. The sound of the underground is unparalled.

How is your Crouchy-Robotic dancing skills? Ever since this dude introduced that horrible dance steps, the world has been infected with the 'Do-The-Crouch'. And it is all thanks to...Arctic Monkeys! The Liverpool frontman publicly unveiled the celebration after scoring against Hungary last week, as well as performing it for Prince William during training. But Crouchy first revealed his celebration during a World Cup Party - and the song on at the time was 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor'. With his current form, there would be thousands in the stadium dancing to electro-pop..
Paul Weller & Oasis - Carnation
One of the most brilliant song ever, with Liam doing the vocals. Remembered I've played this some few hundred times back in '99-00. Breathtaking tunes.
