Life Is A Pigsty

What's the price of fame? Jamie Dornan once had a two year romance with the stunning Keira Knightley. But no thanks to her increasing popularity in the Hollywood industry, he reluctantly left her as it was putting pressure on their relationship. Dornan has now cashed in on their romance by writing a song about her. He says: "The song hurts so much when I sing it. I'm in so much pain afterwards. It's about the difficult times in a relationship - I still speak to Keira, we were so in love." Of his failed relationship with Knightley he says: "I was intimidated by certain things that came with her fame and I began to feel out of my depth." Okay... collect your money*4 and move along.

And I thought Jack White would be filled with joy upon the birth of his daughter.. The Raconteur has lashed out at criticism from fans appalled he has written a tune for Coca-Cola, insisting he never promised he wouldn't "do a commercial". W.S devotees claim his decision to work with Coca-Cola is a betrayal. It contradicts one he made in 2001 when he turned down an offer from Gap to let one of his songs be used in a TV ad. White says: "They (fans) assume someone drove up to my house with a truck full of money and a gun to my head, and said, 'Crack open a Coke on television and give the thumbs up.' That's not what happened. I saw a beautiful ad, and I wrote a song for it because I was inspired by it." Alright children. Daddy White just wants everyone to calm down.

Take That will record a new album after their successful comeback tour. The studio record will be their first for more than 10 years and will be released this autumn. But the album will not have the vocals from a certain ex-member, Robbie Williams. Polydor co-president David Joseph said: "Now Take That are back it's clear how far ahead they have always been in terms of the quality of their songs, performance and sheer charisma. When we met them it quickly became clear their best songs and albums are yet to come." The group have also signed a deal with Polydor Records to record a live documentary DVD that charts their current tour. I bet there won't be any upper-body shots with their stomachs exposed on the CD cover. If so, few would want to relight their fire..

She also has a playful side - there's a twinkle there, something going on behind her eyes." ...[more]

Daft Punk has a new movie, Electroma! (link) Was first hooked on this incredible French band when some dude played 'Around The World' on the stereo about 6-7 years back. I must have repeated that bloody track for a few dozen times per day and slowly got hooked on their electronic/disco tunes. From the way they dress up in cyborg-style outfits, maybe they're hardcore star wars fans? Will be looking forward to this movie.

Everybody loves kung-fu fighting... A kung-fu computer game that requires players to perform real flying kicks and punches is being developed for gaming consoles. Kick Ass Kung Fu lets players fight onscreen enemies using real kicks, punches, head-butts or by wielding any improvised weapon they choose. A video camera captures their movements from one side and superimposes a two-dimensional silhouette of them onto a computer screen. A computer then translates the silhouette's moves into real-time computerised kicks and punches, enabling a player to take on virtual opponents. Kick Ass Kung Fu takes this interactivity to another level, its designers claim. Players must rapidly perform athletic jumps and kicks to beat increasingly tricky opponents [video clip] The game's image-recognition software is being refined so that it can recognise body movements in a more cluttered home environment. But players should still be able to fight onscreen opponents in a fairly realistic way, says Perttu Hamalainen, one of the games original developers. "It has been developed so that you can improvise," he said. "People often grab a chair or something nearby to use as a weapon." Wooo!
