Cheated Hearts

Evangeline Lilly hates spending winters on the hit TV show's Hawaiian set - because she misses the big freeze of her native Canada. While most celebs would jump at the chance to film on a tropical island, the actress is unnerved by the balmy conditions. She explains: "(My first Hawaiian winter) was such a surreal experience. It's like a biological clock in my body was going: 'OK, now is when you are supposed to put on your 10 extra pounds, start eating hearty foods and dress warm.' I'm a Canadian who was a wuss about the cold.
"But here I was dying to put on the scarves and the boots!" It's quite normal for her to feel that way. Especially after staying in that underground chamber, waiting to press 'Execute' after every 108 minutes..

Lindsay Lohan has been snubbed by Louis Vuitton bosses who have dropped plans to make her the new face of the label. Instead, the exclusive contract has been handed to Naomi Campbell who will now replace Gisele Bundchen. A source told the Daily Mirror: "The bosses thought Lindsay was too American for their global brand." All American girl, eh? It's incredible that La Lohan is spoken in the same breath as those supermodels. Anyways, she has laughed off her numerous reported romances, declaring she would "be dead" if she dated that many people. The likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Jared Leto, Sean Lennon, Benicio Del Toro, Ryan Adams, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Joaquin Phoenix being romantically linked to her in recent months made it quite hard for meself to keep track. However, she insists in reality her love life is a lot quieter, saying, "If I dated as many people as they said I have, then I would be dead, because it's just not possible." The usual 'i'm-a-good-girl-instead-of-what-people-always-perceive' denial stance.

Daniel Craig has dealt James Bond bosses another blow - by admitting he can't play poker. Don't they do intensive checks beforehand? This movie is after all, about gambling. Craig has to play cards in an integral gambling scene and when film bosses realised he was clueless at it they flew an expert to his Berlin hotel to give him some last minute tips. A source said: "Daniel could not play cards - it was so funny. It is a critical part of the film, where Bond shows how cool a customer he is. But it was frustratingly ridiculous how long it took to teach the cast how to play or behave at a poker table. "Everyone at the hotel has been laughing about a Bond who can't play cards." Meanwhile, the star has also confessed he doesn't even like 007's top tipple - Martini shaken, not stirred. He revealed: "I don't think anybody makes a Martini stirred any more." ???!!?!?!?!......

-Tara Reid interview-

Hustler: Why does the media target you?

Tara Reid: Think about it. Did Paris Hilton do porn videos? Nicole Richie did heroin and now they're great! Nicole has done some really bad things that I won't even go into it and look at them. They get nicely dressed again and everyone is nice to them. But what about me? What did I do wrong? I never did anything! I partied! I danced on a table. So that makes me a bad person? I don't get it. Our society is so messed up. What am I supposed to do, sit in my house and not go out, not do anything? That's not going to help me get a job either. I've just got to live my life. If I sit home and do nothing, I'll be depressed and it's going to be sad.

Hustler: What is the biggest misconception about you?

Tara Reid: I work really hard! I don't just party! I work with charities and I'm a huge family girl. I'm with my family every Sunday. I just bought my parents a house on the beach just three houses from mine. I'm sensitive and I care what people write about me. I don't like that they make me look like an idiot. I'm not an idiot! I'm smart. I'm a lot smarter than people realize. I've been doing this my whole life. I've been acting forever. I'm good at it. I just want to act again. I'm more than they're letting be. I need a chance. If I get that chance, people will see.

Wonder if that interview was held after some tequila shots... what's with all the shouting?

The Vines - AOL Sessions

One of the A.Idol finalists will attempt to sing Queen's complex signature hit, 'Bohemian Rhapsody' on Tuesday's show, where all the contestants will tackle the songs of Queen. "Well, I am dying to know who's going to sing that one," Simon Cowell said. "Because it will make you or break you." Probably Ace or Chris. The rest don't have the vocals for that number.

Liam Gallagher and Liam Howlett were photographed swearing at a photographer while driving in North London on Thursday (April 6). You'd expect nothing less of course from those two.

I don't understand the philosophy of having a MySpace Account; unless you are promoting your band or something like that. Check out this interesting article regarding what goes on in the MySpace world.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are to give fans an exclusive preview of their new album with an intimate gig this Friday. The band, who release 'Stadium Arcadium' on May 8 and tour the UK in June and July, will be playing the special Radio 1 gig at a secret location in London. The first single, 'Dani California' is released on May 1. Definitely not the standard which RHCP is at their best.. but the song catchy as hell. Check out the band impersonation acts ranging from the good ol' 50s, Nirvana, The Misfits, etc. These 40 plus year old dudes still know how to have fun. Chris Martin and the guys from Embrace will probably be even boring old farts when their time comes.

Kate Moss is still desperate to get her ex-boyfriend Pete Doherty on the straight and narrow and thinks America is the only place he will do it. Moss has once again tried to get Pete to book in to the Meadows Rehabilitation Centre in Arizona where she so successfully cleaned up her act. Doherty has been recommended several other good clinics including one in New Jersey but now he has been made aware that he is unlikely to even be allowed back into the US due to his colourful record with the authorities. I don't think it will work.. even when someone like Kate-y is powerless in the pursuit to cure that monster side of him. Oh Pete when will you put the pipe down?

Charlotte Church and Robbie Williams living in the same house? She is planning a 3 month working holiday in L.A and mum Maria has suggested staying with Robbie while she is there. However, Gavin is reportedly seriously pissed off that his woman will be spending so much time with Robbie. A source told the Daily Star: "Robbie and Charlotte have both been in the business for so long. He looks out for her like a brother would. When she was younger Robbie would keep an eye out for her. He's aware of the pressures that come with hitting the big time early. Maria was worried about Charlotte being on her won in LA for so long, so she asked if Robbie could put her up. Gavin couldn't see the sense in it. To him, there's a handsome successful bloke that many women adore and his girlfriend is to stay with him." Any sane dude out there would be worried sick if the same situation happens. Regarding RW's World Tour, The Ordinary Boys and Basement Jaxx have been announced as support acts. They will join him on the European leg of his 2006 extravaganza. After a concert at the ABSA Stadium in Durban, South Africa, Robbie will perform to more than 2.6 million fans worldwide.

Robb's manager has hailed the digital audio market and defended the singer's outspoken views on music piracy. Robb has irritated the music industry some time ago by defending illegal downloading of music - calling it a "great idea". Clark offered an explanation of that view: "What Williams means is that if we can't provide the fans with the wherewithal to do it legally, frankly it's our fault and not theirs," he explained. "If they're not providing the carrots, they're leaving it to others who will." The manager continued to say that Robb was keen to be involved in the digital future of music. "Digital sales are a reality..even though there might be some drawbacks now - some people say the quality of compressed music is not as good as CDs. They are right, but that will improve dramatically over time." Sounds good.

What do women want from a man? In the past, surveys have overwhelmingly shown that women want a rich man. These days, women's financial independence has increased, so it seems that their preferences have changed. As a woman become more financially independent - so does their preference for physical attractiveness in potential partners. Women who had low levels of control over their cash rated the financial status of a man over his looks. Those with a decent source of income rated physical attractiveness more highly. This is based on recent analysis of questionnaires from 1851 heterosexual women between the ages of 18 and 35; done by Fhionna Moore and colleagues at the University of St Andrews. Economic constraints on women are not as strong as they were 50 years ago, Moore says. "It is this change in comparison to historical constraints that I believe influences mate preferences." Questionnaires are one thing, but what do women do in real life? Moore says that a study she is working on suggests that the same relationship exists between a woman's resource control and the characteristics that attracted her to her current partner. "We recommend that men who aren't already there get down to the gym, and moisturize."
