Lucky Ana Lucia only served four and a half hours of a 60 day sentence because she is considered a non-violent offender and because of prison overcrowding. How fortunate for her! The Prototypes song [Je ne te connais pas] has cleverly used a tune by a Brit band... Was thinking on why the verses sound so similar and then realised it is the same as Blur - Song 2! Only that is sung in French but i'm not too sure if the lyrics are similar as well. They just add some 'yeah yeah yeah' shout outs to spice it up and overall turns out to be an incredible track.

Bad News! Goldfrapp official label "Mute" announced on the official forum that the "Fly Me Away" video has been cancelled and will not air, the reason wasn't mentioned. *Le sigh*

Babyshambles have spent their fee for the Get Loaded festival on studio time at London's Turnmills Studios in a bid to finally "focus on the music". They were dropped from Rough Trade some weeks back.. The band said in a statement, "The music has gone in a different direction than people might expect and reflects the challenging times since Down in Albion; it's both reflective and optimistic." Babyshambles have been offered a new record deal from Rough Trade, as well as a number of other labels. May be a wise move to take this gamble of signing them on.

Jessica Simpson has gone to see a psychiatrist on May 19th. "No one knows for sure what Jessica discussed, but it was clear that she was seeking help for something very troubling," said an inside source. "Her hand was trembling as she reached for the door, and she looked like she was desperately trying to fight back tears as she went back out to face the world. Whatever her issues, Jessica should be commended for seeking professional help. It's the only way she can truly become her own woman." Sounds kinda serious, yah.. No worries. Thom Yorke has no intention of leaving Radiohead, but has completed a solo album after deciding to test himself by working alone. He has always enjoyed the backing of his bandmates, so he decided to go it alone on upcoming LP 'The Eraser'. He says, "I wanted to work on my own. I just wanted to see what it would be like." But he has told fans the record is definitely not a precursor to a split: "As you know the band are now touring and writing new stuff and getting to a good space so I want no crap about me being a traitor or splitting up". What the.. Wham! are set to reunite - George M wants former band mate Andrew Ridgeley to join him on tour. They split up in 1986 after a final performance at London's Wembley Stadium, and now they are making a return. Michael says, "I'm going to ask Andrew to perform with me at Wembley in September. I'm going to ask him to perform Last Christmas with me. We played the song at the end of the gigs together in Wembley. It will be lovely to do the same thing twenty years later." Why go through the trouble? Must be jealous seeing Take That being the major 'nostalgia' talking point nowadays.


Another lame idea from a has-been band would a new 'Hip-Hop' Duran Duran. They are working with US hip-hop producers and are set to wow fans with their forthcoming album. Currently in a London studio recording a follow-up to their 2004 album Astronaut, D-D are planning on giving it a rap edge. Keyboardist Nick Rhodes said, "I'm making an album with the rest of Duran Duran which should be ready by January (07). Simon has got some songs to write still. "It'll have an identifiably Duran Duran sound, which we want to preserve, but it's also going to be a lot more modern. So we've been working with American urban producers." Selloutselloutsellout..
