Hypnagogia

Joss Stone has blamed her relocation to America for her unpopularity in her native Britain. The singer blames the relative flop of her second album in the UK on a backlash against her recording it in the States - which has leant her the much-ridiculed American twang she exhibited at this year's Brit Awards. She moans, "I felt kind of sad about it actually. It's funny because the only country that hasn't liked it is my own." Or perhaps it's just because of her hair-style..

Ewan McGregor has admitted he quit drinking seven years ago after admitting to a problem with alcohol. The Scot felt obliged to give up booze after realising his life was falling apart. He says, "I felt it was time to stop. I had drunk enough is the truth - I had my share, your share and everyone's share. It was the thing that was expendable." McGregor told Michael Parkinson that he had even started turned up to work drunk, and coping by drinking more on the job. Only dart players can get away with that...

Jennifer Aniston has been romantically linked to former Sex and the City star Jason Lewis. Closer mag are reporting that the pair have been on a string of secret dates in New York City. "They've met a few times. He thinks she's gorgeous and they just clicked" a source revealed. "Jenn seems to really like Jason, but so far they've met up in secret as Jenn hates the pressure her fame puts on all of her relationships." As usual, another short-short term.

The male stars of 'Sex and the City' movie have been told to lose weight by film bosses. Producers feared their aging hunks were getting a little paunchy and so they were all told to trim down before shooting began last month. David Eigenberg, who plays the husband of Miranda, admits he was one of the actors told to shape up. "It's harder to be a man on 'Sex & The City' than a woman," he said. "They (producers) can't tell the women to lose weight. They tell the guys to lose weight. They told me to lose a couple of pounds."

Emily Blunt has vowed to remain in her native England because she hates Hollywood. The star feels 'suffocated' by the unrelenting career drive of L.A and is happy to live in the U.K. She says, "I'm going to stay in London. Hollywood is so competitive and ruthless, the quest to succeed oozes from every corner of the city and I find it suffocating. L.A. is a city of false hopes." Emily was disappointed to be turned down by a modelling agency in her teens. She was spotted by a talent scout but after they took some Polaroids, the lady said, 'On second thoughts, you're too short and you look like you have a broken nose'. I was screaming".
