Overpowered
Jennifer Garner shouted at paparazzi in New York last Wednesday. The actress was taking Violet trick-or-treating when they got too close. Jenn put her arm out to shield herself and Violet from the flashbulbs as they walked along the Upper West Side. The star wasn't the only celebrity to be hounded by photographers this Halloween. Liv Tyler went trick-or-treating with her son Milo and returned home to find her house swarming with photographers. She told them to leave and politely thanked them for not getting close to her property. Ahh the joys of stardom...
Kylie Minogue has cancelled her upcoming world tour over fears for her health. The singer had planned a tour to mark her 40th birthday next year, but has cancelled on the advice of medics. Minogue conceded it is "too soon" after her two-year long battle with breast cancer. "The tour is not going to happen, it is far too soon," she said. "I can't do it next year. It kind of breaks my heart because that is what I'm in this business for. Not being able to go ahead with my plans is a real downer." Le Sigh..

Renee Zellweger accepts that she might be single for the rest of her life - and she's ok with that. Renee enjoyed long-term relationships with Jim Carrey and Jack White before suddenly marrying Kenny Chesney in '05. The marriage was annulled four months later, with Renee citing "fraud" as the reason for the split. She told Reader's Digest recently that she doesn't obsess over what might have been: "I don't want to sound cavalier by saying that I'm okay with my [being single] situation. But there's good in every situation. It sounds simplistic, but I still have the good things that have always been in my life." Could always wait patiently like Ms Kim Cattrall...

Michelle Rodriguez fears her career may be over now. The actress was sentenced to 180 days in prison after lying about completing community service. Rodriquez has posted a letter to fans, saying, "When I moved to Hollywood, California four years ago....excess became my only remedy. Yeah, it took me a lot of falls to wake up, breathe, and appreciate again. I have reached the end of my rope with regards to my career." The sentencing must commence by 24th Dec.
Christina Applegate's marriage to Jonathon Schaech ended in seperation because they didn't see enough of each other. Their divorce was finalised in August (07) after four years of marriage. Applegate said, "I am sort of starting over. There was nothing wrong with my marriage but the (geographical) distance. I lived in New York and he wasn't there. That's what happened." Wohkay. Her new show "Samantha Who?" looks promising.

With the current season of Barclays Premier League just starting to shape up nicely, as usual there have been some cases of mistaken identities during match days..
British people believe the UK music charts have lost credibility and reflect the marketing power behind overhyped artists rather than the nation's musical tastes according to a recent poll. Almost three quarters of Brits believe it's importance has diminished in recent years. 40% believe the "stars" of X-Factor lack real talent and 65% condemn reality TV talent shows for creating a generic style of music. 82% believe that musical talent is being overshadowed by hyped sales of stars with less ability. Most people (93%) have more respect for singers and bands who make it through word-of-mouth like Lily Allen and Arctic Monkeys than reality TV stars. Gossip discoveries are thus brilliant.
