The ceremoney will be held at Fulham Register Office - chosen as the couple's venue because of its proximity to the home ground of the his favourite football team, Queens Park Rangers. One source said: "Both Kate and Pete have invited close friends and family to meet them there on Friday. Pete is determined to have his mates there." An extended group of friends and family will fly to Ibiza for a lavish celebration on January 18. One close friend to both said: "They will travel out to the island a couple of days ahead of the party, in time for her 33rd birthday on January 16." Will be a high profile event for sure.

Hilary Duff is less than impressed that her ex-bf is already seeing Nicole Richie, just weeks after they went their separate ways. A source said: "Hilary can't believe he's dating Nicole and thinks she's a skank." An unusual raging mood? Elizabeth Hurley swore at a photographers as she had her documents checked at an Indian airport recently. She was flying from Maharana Pratap airport to Mumbai after three days in Udaipur for a photoshoot for her beach swimwear collection. As Hurley spoke to security officials at one of the airport checkpoints, paparazzi swirled around her, who promptly told the snappers to get lost. Can't recall any similar incidents when Hurley got all mad with photographers.


Being married to Uma Thurman is apparently too much for Ethan Hawke to handle. Ethan has complained he didn't enjoy being married to her because she was too famous. The couple split up after he was caught having an affair with Canadian model Jen Perzow. He told Parade magazine, "To be married to another famous person was a huge pressure - one I didn't enjoy. And it had nothing to do with her." Despite a messy divorce, which was finalized in 2005, Ethan refuses to utter a bad word against the mother of his two kids. He added, "She's my children's mother. You have to keep that in mind above anything else." He also confessed that fatherhood has been his most challenging role, saying: "It's the only role that if I fail, I will consider my life a failure." Sometimes, __it happens. But at least he's one responsible dad.

A good idea? Johnny Depp is stepping into Freddie Mercury's shoes in which he is set to play the Queen singer in a new bio-pic. Guitarist Brian May has confirmed the project is being developed, with the "fantastic" Depp favoured to play Mercury. May writes on his website, "Discussions are at an early stage. He (Johnny) would be a worthy counterpart for Freddie on screen. I don't think I can say any more right now." Wonder if Johnny will sacrifice his long locks for the role.


After a Jarvis comeback, another old school icon will make a comeback. Brett Anderson's solo debut LP will be released next March. He has signed a short-term deal with Drowned In Sound for the release of the as-yet-untitled 11 track album on 26 March. It will finally feature his first personal offerings, "In the past I've hidden behind characterisation and vignettes but I've not done that here. Essentially I have taken a knife to myself and am showing the world my insides. The songs are a comment on how I really feel, like my hatred of consumerism or just the loneliness of life. No guests, no gimmicks, just me and the music." Openness in a music diary, eh?
