According to the Daily Express, one of the show's producers Joel Surnow said regarding the casting decisions: "You can't put these people on because they're too recognisable. They'll take you out of the reality." What reality? It's a freakin' tv show just like Nikita, Alias, Silk Stalkings, etc..



Big champagne toast to this! Kim Cattrall has confirmed that the highly-anticipated feature film version of Sex And The City is officially back on. Since the series ended in 2004, rumours have been circulating the cast would eventually bring the show to the big screen. Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones, has spent the last three and a half months acting in David Mamet's The Cryptogram in London. She admits she only found out about the film when she came back to the US. Wow, this is great and should be an incredible movie.

Anyone predicting a potential riot coming soon?? The Kaiser Chiefs are furious with Girls Aloud for stealing their song and changing the words, all without the permission of the band. They changed the lyrics for 'I Predict A Riot' from "borrow a pound for a condom" to "borrow a pound for a phone call" enraging lead singer Ricky Wilson. He said: "I don't give a shit if they don't change the words. But they did change the words.. I'm gonna cover a Girls Aloud song and change all their words but make them really filthy. We're after you." Band mate Nick Hodgson added: "Lily asked our permission for the song but those girls didn't and then they changed the words." Wonder if they need any good advice in attempting an Aloud song? Dressed in mini-skirts, perhaps..

News The New Statesman spoke with Girls Aloud about politics. "They need people like us to go into the schools and help spread the word," Cheryl Cole offered. "Our fans would definitely listen to us. They'd think, well, if Kimberley and Nicola are interested in it, then I want to know about it. That's why David Cameron said he fancied me. He was just trying to be cool. It's all over.. again. Eminem's second divorce from high school sweetheart Kim Mather's became final on December 19 after spending most of the year in mediation. The divorce was filed just 82 days after they wed. In the initial court papers, Em cited, "a breakdown in the marriage relationship to the extent that the objects of matrimony have been destroyed and there remains no reasonable likelihood that the marriage can be preserved." They agreed to divide property under terms of a private settlement and to share custody of their daughter, Hailie Jade Scott. The couple "conducted themselves with dignity and respect", Circuit Judge Antonio Viviano said. At least everything went on smoothly this time round.

After being publicly dumped by Eddie Murphy, the scary one has been sobbing. But good ol' bandmate Geri has offered Melanie Brown a shoulder to cry on. Eddie announced the end of his relationship with six-month-pregnant Mel during an interview for Dutch TV and questionned the paternity of the baby she is carrying. A friend of Geri said: "The fact that Geri was in a similar position to Mel, with an acrimonious relationship with the father of her child, is an instant bond. Geri feels she understands what Mel is going through. Mel has told Geri she felt scared and humiliated." These two didn't always get along when they were bandmates but now all differences have been cast aside. Geri believes this is the time to be kind and supportive. This would probably mean Bluebell welcoming a junior spice playmate around the house early next year.
