Avril Lavigne is finding it harder than she thought to get into acting but it's not her fault. The pop star turned actress complained recently: "I've been reading scripts for a year and they're all crap, they all suck. I'm going to be really picky and wait for something amazing." Not an easily impressed girl it seems. Most of her scripts are for cartoon characters so maybe Avril wants a real feminine role?

Jane Fonda, who plays Lindsay Lohan's grandmother in the film 'Georgia Rule', talked about the 20-year-old's tardiness on the set of the film, prompting the CEO James Robinson to fire off a stern letter to the actress. "Lindsay's so alone out there in the world in terms of structure and people to nurture her," Fonda said. "She is so talented. Oh my gosh, she can access emotion like nothing... And she just makes me cry. I just want to take her in my arms and hold her until she's grown up." Such a caring 'grandma' she is. Watch the interview [Jane-Vid]

Noel Gallagher has revealed that Oasis were reluctant to release a greatest hits album. The singer once vowed never to "sell-out" with a best-of compilation, however Stop The Clocks will hit shelves in November. Noel told Radio One: "We were kinda forced into it anyway, but we're going to give it our best shot." That revelation wasn't surprising at all. Just another marketing scheme. Sophie Ellis Bextor turned down the infamous Agent Provocateur mechanical bull ad campaign - because it was too raunchy. Sophie has been stepping out of the shadows of motherhood to attend London parties - and revealed why she said no to the ad made famous by Kylie Minogue. She said: "They wanted me to do this raunchy shoot riding a bucking bronco. The message was that I was making all the blokes watching overexcited. I felt if I did it, then girls would be saying 'I don't like her, she's going to steal my boyfriend'". Nah, she doesn't need to go through that route. Really can't wait for her third album to arrive.

Matt Damon and his wife, former bartender Luciana Barroso, enjoyed a rare date night out at celebrity hotspot Hyde last week. Matt looks like he's enjoying himself. The two have been photographed only occasionally since the birth of their daughter, Isabella, three months ago.
50 Cent punches out a fan at a fashion show! [link] At the Baby Phat fashion show, a man asked 50's bodyguard if he could take a photo with the rapper, but the bodyguard turned him down. After that, when a member of 50's entourage arrived late looking for a place to sit, 50 asked the 'fan' to move, but he refused - at which point 50 became enraged, allegedly punched the man in the face and almost threw a chair at him. Security ended the fight quickly; when MTV crew asked the man what happened, he would only say, 'I'm not talking, but I'm good looking." Must be a die hard fan.
