Feminist Complaints

If you want to dress with style and look good, take a look at Jennifer Aniston. She has recently topped People magazine's "best-dressed" list. The magazine gave the annual accolade to 'Rachel' for her "natural fashion sense." Elizabeth Sporkin, executive director of People, said, "She has a fashion sense that is very accessible. She wears jeans and T-shirts and blazers. She dresses like a regular person, and her evening wear - if you were going to an event, you would think you could really dress like her." Jenn beat off stiff competition knocking Halle Berry into second place and Boring Alba into third. This was the first year that online readers picked the winners, rather than the magazine's editors. Well done, Jennifer!

This girl is always running into trouble. Lindsay Lohan has broken her wrist after a fall at a party celebrating the end of New York fashion week. Lindsay slipped while attending an event at the Milk Studios in New York and her driver took her to St. Vincent's Hospital in the city where she was found to have fractured the bone in two places. Ouch. Her spokesperson Leslie Sloane confirmed the accident and noted that an investigation would take place to assess whether the studio had taken adequate precautions to make the ground safe in the outside area. No more partying for the time being?

Carl Barat is urging music fans throughout the UK to join the fight against racism and bigotry. The DPT frontman is involved in the LoveMusicHateRacism campaign, which organises positive events and activities to bring people together against right-wing organisations including the British National Party (BNP). The band are on the line-up for the initiative's upcoming London concert in Barking, east of the capital, at the end of the month (Sept 06). Barat says, "For evil to triumph, all that is necessary is that good people do nothing. Apathy is a killer and it's easy to be complacent. We're dedicated to this in the same way we're dedicated to melody and bringing people together through music." Let's eradicate all those racist bastards!

Hey big spender? Liam Gallagher has splashed out on a diamond necklace for his fiancee Nicole Appleton to celebrate her return to All Saints. He spent 4,000 pounds on the gift during a visit to Selfridges in London while his wife spent time with bandmates Shaznay Lewis, Mel Blatt and sister Natalie Appleton. A source told the Daily Star: "Liam wanted to do something nice for Nicole as he is so proud she is back in the band. He is really excited about them releasing their new single Rock Steady and has been giving them all tons of advice. Liam loves the single and thinks it will be a winner. He has also been really happy about helping them." A supernova thumbs-up approval means it should be a good one.

Looks like Robbie Williams won't be coming to Asia after all. Mr Angels is suffering from stress and exhaustion following non-stop performances since May. Therefore, the Asian leg of his current world tour has been discarded. His spokesman explained: "These performances would be asking too much. They would have greatly added to his workload." Robb had been expected to entertain fans in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Mumbai and Bangalore in November. The European tour kicked off in Dublin in June and next month moves to South America, before finishing in Australia in December. Whatever he did, he didn't mean it...

Oh.. look what you've done? The new Jet album 'Shine On' was leaked accidentally on iTunes over the weekend. In the massive clanger, the company is thought to have failed to put the setting on 'Pre-Order mode in the UK. The mistake meant that people could freely download the album for the digital music store on Saturday, ahead of its October 3 release. The problem has now been rectified, with the 'Pre-Order' setting now fully functioning. Heads are surely going to roll. Sounds like the leaked 'Keane' incident from June this year.
