Looks like she has returned to her roots since 2003's edgy-pop '0304' album. Another moment where other songs are automatically archived for a moment and getting stuck into the 'Jewel' mode.. Matt LeBlanc and his wife Melissa are filing for divorce, the couple has just announced. "Melissa and Matt LeBlanc have decided to end their marriage of three years," the actor's rep, Joe Libonati, said in a statement. "The dissolution is amicable. They remain devoted parents and friends." The couple have a 2 year old daughter, Marina. Melissa has two other children from a previous marriage. Sad to hear about this. He has had difficulties being loyal to the wife in recent years and has apologised from time to time. Probably better for both parties from this decision.

The Spice Girls have come top of a poll of cultural icons of the Nineties. The fivesome, who enjoyed success from 1996 to 2000, gained 80 percent of the votes cast putting them well ahead of the other contenders. Also named icons of the the Nineties were grunge star Kurt Cobain and Elizabeth Hurley - particularly noteworthy for her safety pin dress worn to the premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral. It seems like Matthew Perry and Kristin Davis are Hollywood's new 'it' couple. The couple were spotted kissing while dining at Los Angeles restaurant La Dolce Vita recently, where they shared an ice-cream and looked like a couple in love. A fellow diner revealed: "He kept his arm around her the entire time and kissed her forehead at one point." A close pal of Kristin said that she's really fallen for Matthew. However, it might not be plain sailing for the pair if they are planning a relationship. Kristin understands how actors will face problematic love lives; what with the many quick unions and break-ups happening between people in the same industry. I think these two will look cute together. Would she still harbour thoughts of adopting a kid - thus becoming a single mum - if things go well with Matt?

The band rejected strings on their massive debut Hopes And Fears, and shot to fame with their brand of piano pop. Keyboard player Tim Rice-Oxley insists the band haven't rejected their signature style. He said: "We were a guitar band when we started - we've been there. I was touring the world and picked up all these weird gadgets." Under The Iron Sea is out on June 19. Guess they're gonna stick with something only they know? As long it is not those funny gadgets Thom Yorke has in the Kid A studio, there should be a good chance this album will impress.

Franz Ferdinand fans will be able to pick up the band's next single for free. Swallow Smile will be the first track to be dished out to members of the band's new fan club. Created by the founder of the group's first fan site, it will be launched in the coming weeks. Kapranos said: "We wanted to have an old-school fan club rather than an internet one." The new track is one the band played in their early shows, but was only recorded when they were in Australia at the start of the year. Trust the franz gang to come out with that song title. Oasis have finally filled their drumming vacancy - Zak Starkey has been invited to join the band permanently. Noel expects Ringo Starr junior to accept the offer as he's been playing with the band since Alan White's departure last year. We always said that we'd sit down and talk about that at the end of the tour. There's no point in getting in business discussions while you're soundchecking." Maybe we will never know.. Kate Moss is allegedly mentoring Lohan as part of her drug rehabilitation and 12 step recovery regime. Katy is warning Lohan about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse. She's apparently been "adopted" by Katy, who is mentoring her as part of her process of recovery. "Kate's told her she sees Lindsay as a younger version of herself, and they speak a lot. Kate doesn't want Lindsay to go the way she did." Hmmm...Katy has been doing some nice things lately; helping Pete and now her US buddie. Mixing alcohol with energy drinks like Red Bull can give revellers the illusion they are more sober than they really are, a new study warns. Energy drinks, which contain sugar and caffeine, have become popular in recent years - especially among young adults. They have also gained popularity as mixers to go with spirits such as vodka in nightclubs. Young partygoers often consume energy drinks to avoid feeling the soporific effects of alcohol. A research study found that volunteers who were given alcohol mixed with Red Bull performed as badly on coordination and visual tests as those drinking alcohol alone. However, those drinking Red Bull and alcohol thought their skills were unimpaired. The researchers say that young adults should understand that drinking energy drinks with alcohol may impair their judgment, because they perceive themselves to be less affected by the alcohol. "They should drink with more caution, that's the suggestion," says Roseli Boerngen, who studies substance misuse. She says the study underscores the notion that consuming an energy drink with alcohol will not make it any safer to drive afterwards.

A supersonic jet engine capable of travelling more than six times as fast as the speed of sound was successfully launched over the outback in South Australia last Saturday. The supersonic combustion ramjet (scramjet), called HyShot III, was launched by a Terrier-Orion rocket and was in flight for just 10 minutes. It reached an altitude of around 315 kilometres before falling back to Earth. During its descent, the scramjet engine should have ignited and propelled the craft to around Mach 6.5, or 7962 kilometres per hour. Some hope to see scramjets used for commercial flights. In theory, they could be used to travel between Sydney and London in just two hours, a journey that currently takes 20 hours. Other future applications include low-cost satellite launches and long-range military missions. HyShot programme leader Allan Paull said scramjet-powered passenger jets were still a long way off but that some form of scramjet-powered craft could be developed within a decade. Another experimental scramjet, called HyShot IV, will be scheduled in the coming weeks.

A style packed catwalk extravaganza with an electrifying live band performance does indeed go together pretty superbly. And when that certain band happens to be PLACEBO, you know it's gonna be more than out of this world.

To get straight to the point, Placebo were awesome. And I'm not saying that just because I'm a huge fan, but anyone who'd attended the event would tell you that from the moment the dirty guitars of "Taste In Men" started, right until the band left us with their message for us to meet them at "The Bitter End" there was not a single moment the audience wasn't lost in the music. Placebo know all about creating rhythmic music, and no matter where you are or what you're doing, it hypnotizes your mind - and when watching them live, the feeling of being under the control of the music multiplies manifold. Brian's voice was mesmerizing and haunting, and their all-too-real penetrating lyrics melted into the surreal. In fact there was literal pandemonium when they started playing the classic "Every You Every Me". Other crowd favourites were "Because I Want You", the first single taken of their latest record, Meds, and the melancholic "Without You I'm Nothing".

Brian Molko, with his sheer flawless beauty (yes, beauty) and rock star stage presence effortlessly overshadowed the models strutting down the catwalk. And what's more, he didn't have to do as much to achieve that. Bassist Stephan Olsdal took a few walks down the catwalk whilst playing - in his own highly rock star stylish flamboyance. And he too definitely got more attention doing that than the models could get... it was probably the only time the majority of the crowd in the mosh pit turned their heads in the direction of the catwalk. I though for one wish I could have seen more of Steve Hewitt, who was hidden behind the drums the whole while whilst producing some awesome beats.

I believe the audience traveled similar journeys together, all of us entranced, caught up in Placebo's creative web until, alas, returning us to the hallowed ground we share, untangled from their grasp, only to bid us ado - changed for the better having heard them play. In fact Brian Molko, with his sheer beauty (yes, beauty) and stage presence did not need to utter a single word for the whole night except introduce "One Of A Kind" with, 'This is taken off the new album' and a sweet and simple 'Thank you' before (literally) running off the stage.

This might have been an event showcasing fashion and music, but believe me, you can keep Kenzo and Gaultier any day. Just give me my Placebo.

What does Lindsay Lohan really want to be known as? A teenage drama queen? Party animal? Noooo...from now on, people must look to her as a 'serious actress'. Lohan, who has worked flat out on various different projects feels she is still portrayed as a wild child in the press. She said: "There's this misconception that if you're out one night, then you're said to be out every night. You have to let it roll off your back. I've learned to just ignore it. But I think you can also take advantage of the fact that you're in the limelight and put things out into the world that are good messages." Hmmmm..being seen canoodling with different men who are much elder is good? Nonetheless, the best quote was - "I'm not some Tara Reid-style party girl." Wow. A new sparring partner i guess..

A serious role that she would love to play is an upcoming 'Wonder Woman' film. Lohan said to OK! magazine: "Wonder Woman would be cool." However, first up Lohan is concentrating on her new album, she said: "I'm trying to work on some lyrics for my next album in my free time. It'll be a little different to the last one - I'm starting recording next month." A workaholic eh? I don't think anyone wants to watch a wonder woman who could easily be blown away by the special effects winds machine.

Combining the jangly guitar licks of 'The Departure' along with some of 'Editors' dark melodies, this guys from Glasgow aren't lacking in substance. And to make things more appealing, they have a guest 'scientist' in their video. Now that's a hit!

Speaking of which, Gorillaz will split by Christmas, according to a band member overheard discussing its shaky future. Remi, the voice behind animated character Russell, was heard telling a pal the Damon Albarn-fronted group are sick of the sight of each other. He said: "Gorillaz will split by the end of the year. We'll wind down by September and by Christmas there will be a break." It's been about five years for the cartoon band. Albarn doesn't seem to have good rapport with his band mates since the country house days..

Phone dating Farrell and Moss? Colin Farrell has reportedly struck up a close relationship with supermodel Kate Moss over their rehab experiences. Both of them have undergone drugs rehabilitation recently, and the pair have developed a close relationship over the phone as they look to each other for mutual support following their ordeals. A source reveals, "Since they're both working on their sobriety, they completely understand the struggle." I don't buy this one bit. Good buddies at most.

Jessy Simpson now has another major split - she's left her record company of seven years. She left Columbia to sign up to Epic Records instead. This is due to her guru Charlie Walk becoming Epic's new President. She says, "Charlie Walk was my first hero at Columbia. He believed in me before I really even got to meet the rest of the company. I couldn't think of anyone I would trust more than Charlie to present my new music to the world." Loyalty? Simpson expects to release a new single in the near future, with a new album probably released later this year.

Gavin Henson has admitted that he will marry Charlotte Church but has yet to pop the question. He has revealed that Church would "love" to tie the knot. "We're good for each other, it's really good," Henson told Jonathan Ross at a talk show. "She'd love to [get married].. maybe we will then. I hope she'll ask me, but I suppose I'd better do it .. we'd love a family together." What kind of special tricks will he attempt for the proposal i just wonder. She was recently given the all-clear after battling breast cancer for almost a year; and now has already started "playing around with lyrics". The past year has been incredibly tough but she is determined to get back to what she loves best - singing. It would be the perfect way to thank her fans for all their support." Keane have announced details for their upcoming album. Their new album will be called "Under The Iron Sea," and will be released on June 12th. Their debut CD "Hopes and Fears" was the second-biggest selling album of the year in the U.K. in 2004. The first two UK singles from Keane's new album will be 'Atlantic', a download-only single to be released in mid-April, followed by 'Is It Any Wonder?', which will follow on physical formats on May 29th. 'Atlantic' is rumored to be about the struggle of pianist Tim Rice-Oxley's relationship with his now wife on the road. Rumors are that they'll start a US tour in or around Sept/Oct. This band need to deliver with style if they want to avoid being labelled as a 'one album wonder', especially when loud rock n roll is 'in' thing right now.

Arctic Monkeys - Despair In The Departure

Radiohead are set to visit Ireland as part of a low-key tour to showcase material for their new album. The group are believed to have pencilled in a date for August in Marlay Park in Dublin. The band are nearly finished working on the long-awaited follow-up to 2004's "Hail to the Thief". Bootleg versions of the track have circulated amongst fans over the net, but a full studio version has never surfaced. The song has never been properly recorded. An early version of the tune can be found on the band's documentary 'Meeting People Is Easy'.

Shirley Manson is now working on a solo album and she insists Garbage will not split. The Scot said the band were horrified at rumours they were splitting. "We're still together but Butch is going back into production and some of the other guys are working on movie soundtracks." She is writing with composer David Arnold, who worked with Garbage on The World Is Not Enough in 1999. "I want to live a little freely and just make music and have fun," she said. Always good to come out with something different while taking a break from band commitments.

The Charlatans has a new single! Alan McGhee compares it to early Oasis... that is not far off i think. The man who discovered the Gallaghers at a gig in Glasgow, believes that The Charlatans' new single 'Blackened Blue Eyes' is up there with material Oasis were knocking out ten years ago. He said: "It's their best single. It's like a great Oasis song from the mid-nineties." The single will be released on April 3rd.

Dirty Pretty Things have confirmed details of their debut album due out this summer. The band will release 'Waterloo To Anywhere' on May 8 via Vertigo which they recordd in Los Angeles with Dave Sardy. Dirty Pretty Things release their next single 'Bang Bang You're Dead' on April 24th.

Back in October last year, I came across one song during an XFM session by this interesting band called 'The Pipettes'. Was thinking on how they managed to bring back the 60s where everything was merry and happy. So.. 'we are the pipettes' got stuck on me head for days and weeks. For an idea about what they are about, just imagine what Bananarama would be doing if they are in the 60s era. Got the picture? The Pipettes have now returned with a new single "Your Kisses Are Wasted On Me" on March 27. It is full of harmonies and melody that gives a feel-good vibe. I find it hard to believe that first time listeners won't get drawn to the Brighton trio. Like what Get Smart used to say - "and...loving it!"

Josh Hartnett has slammed Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton for being bad role models for their fans. The boyfriend of Scarlett Johansson is shocked that his younger brother and sister and their friends look up to the troubled blonde stars - who he accuses of just being interested in making money. Anyways, it's a fight between Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Simpson... for the role of Lucy Ewing in the Dallas film. Both are keen to bag this role as the film is sure to be a huge hit and no one wants to miss out: "There are people scratching each other's eyes out [for roles]," director Robert Luketic said. Texan girl Jessica might have the edge over New Yorker Lindsay on the accent but Lindsay's got a big supporter - Charlene Tilton who played Lucy in the television series. "They are thinking of casting Lindsay Lohan as Lucy and I'm a fan of hers. I think it is a great choice," she commented recently. Is there anyone else on the list? Jessy ain't no actress & Lindsay will not fit well into that role. They should give the role to someone like Samaire or Kristin Cavallari. At least there won't be worldwide uproar over LL & JS being seen here, there and everywhere.

Jack White fell in love with Johnny Cash's home in Nashville, Tennessee, and came close to buying it, but was too overwhelmed by the thought of living in his idol's former house. The singer recently relocated from his hometown of Detroit, Michigan, to Nashville after falling in love with the city while recording an album with Loretta Lynn in 2003. Jack and his wife Karen Elson looked at Cash's home in nearby Hendersonville and immediately fell in love with the property. 50 Cent has revealed that Eminem managed to talk him out of releasing an album early this summer. The hip-hop heavyweight was planning on releasing the album on July 18 before Mr Mathers advised him otherwise. Fiddy continued in the interview with MTV that he thinks most of the new material he's been recording won't make the actual album. He added: "By the time the summer passes, the music that I planned to release will be dated to me and I'll have so many new ideas that I wanna write something else." Ok ok. Just release more quality gangsta tunes when you're ready. Anything else that bothers him? ...50 feels let down by his lack of music awards - but is convinced the recognition will come in due course. He said, "I don't ever receive the credit I'm supposed to receive for my music. I receive all the checks I'm supposed to receive, I just don't receive all the trophies. But I'm cool with it. I just look at it like I should continue to dominate with it more. I'll get lifetime-achievement awards opposed to best-new-artist awards, so it's cool." Daniel Craig tells The Observer that he will not be wearing 007's trademark tuxedo in Casino Royale. When asked if he had been fitted for a tux, Craig told reporter Jason Solomons, "Actually, he doesn't wear one in this version. I'm not sure if I should tell you that, so there's a scoop for you." The last film to not feature James Bond in a tuxedo was 1973's Live & Let Die which marked the debut of Roger Moore as 007. Sean Connery also went without black-tie in 1967's You Only Live Twice. What the hell?? The two veterans still look cool without the tuxedo but how could Craig not be wearing a tux????

Hard-Fi are set to release new single 'Better Do Better' on 10th April. This is one of the memorable track from the album. It has a incredible song structure with a smirk of cockiness which is always good to have rather than a boring coldplay-ish attitude.

A live recording of a new Arctic Monkeys song has appeared on the web. The downbeat song 'Despair in the Departure Lounge' was recorded on Monday night (March 13) in San Francisco. Arctic Monkeys only went into the impromptu performance because bassist Andy Nicholson broke a string on his guitar, so Alex intervened with the acoustic song. It is such a lovely song; so hopefully it will be out on their next album.

Folha - Oasis already played in Brazil two times: in 1998 and 2001, in the Rock in Rio. Did you like it? What did you find of the festival?
Liam - It is always good to go to South America, the fans are livened up well with us there, are passionate. I do not remember the festival very much, only that Guns N ' Roses played. But I do not remember well how that was...

Folha - Your last record received good reviews, and you wrote some of the songs. You intend to continue composing?
Gallagher - I wrote only three songs of this last album, so there's plenty more. The best is yet to come. But what I like more is to sing. One or two songs must always enter in each album that we will launch in the future.

Folha - Everybody seems to be speaking about the Arctic Monkeys and as they had gained many fans for the InterNet. You consider them a phenomenon?
Liam - Still I did not hear the record, only saw some of singles of them in the TV. They're gonna play with us in Canada. But I like the band, I prefer them to Franz Ferdinand, for example, that they pretend to play punk rock. Arctic Monkeys reminds me of when we started, some guys from the north of England. They are not trying to deceive anyone. If it is a phenomenon, we're gonna see it next year. :-)

Final 3! Nicole & Bre were jumping up and down on the bed celebrating their triumph in coming this far. Bre said she made ANTM history by being in the bottom two 4 times before. Nik said she was told she was a dud and need to show more personality if she wants to go far. Bre said Tyra told her there is something special about her... "and there is." Yadda yadda. Nicole said she is cut out for this kind of career and she claimed she's gonna win! Next day, they went for a COVER girl advert photoshoot. First was a group shoot with 2 male models all laughing and having a good time. Second was group in front of a car looking around happily..body faced to the back..then turned around saying the word 'Covergirl!'. All were made to memorize about 6-8 lines for the advert. Bre fumbled...Nik who has been studiously repeating every line did it very well with the studio audience clapping. Nicole fumbled and froze...not confident. She blamed it on the bright lights... Jay has to repeat the lines to her...Not good. Then next was a smiling solo photoshoot. Next day...judging time. One will go home. Nik said the judges kept Bre some reason..Nicole nervous about her chances. The judges first got to see the completed advert for the Covergirl TruBlend . All were impressed with it. Next was their solo commercial ad. Bre & Nicole disappointed the judges. Nik was praised for her good memory and delivery of the words. Next was their solo photoshot. Nik & Nicole nailed it well for the judges. Bre looked good. Judges had to choose between Bre who made a lot of progress or Nik who sometimes lacked personality or Nicole who may be a bit too young... First name called is.. Nik! Not surprising of course. Nicole & Bre left...girl to join Nik will be...NICOLE! Woooooooo. Bre goes home. She shouldn't be in there anyway as Jayla got robbed of final three. Nicole put on some fake plastic clown specs + nose and was dancing like a small girl on the table urging Nik to join her in the celebration but Nik was not moving at all..just laying back on the couch maybe thinking about herself being in the final two. Next day, photoshoot with Tyra taken by some oldie famous photographer. This guy repeated the words "I'm touchin' the winner." tapping the faces of Nicole & Nik at their individual shoots. Nik was saying "Why is he calling Nicole a winner?"...and Nicole had the same reactions during Nik's turn. Aahaha...
Next day, runway catwalk with EVA & NAIMA. Eva had this strong confident supermodel aura while Naima looked fantastic as usual. Last chance for Nik & Nicole to prove they are worth winning the competition. Both Nicole & Nik struted like some veteran who has done it all before. Pleasantly shocked at how Nicole showed her 'matured & strong' side. Brilliantly done. Jay Manuel personally complimented both of them with congratulatory hugs. Both felt that they have a good chance of winning. Judging time - i think it was right after the catwalk. They were told to reveal their feelings about what they are thinking about at the point of being chosen the next ANTM. Both had mutual respect for each other. They were shown their photoshoot from the start...super-heroes to country-shot to 60s-cabaret look-with-car to shouting-with 3 mtv guys-shot and finally the 'vaseline black n white' shot outside the house. They were then shown the catwalk video shoot. Nik looked a little bit too 'bouncy' with her walk, whereas Nicole's hand swaying could be better. Overall, they looked stunning. Judges then were left to discuss who they will have to choose. They think Nicole can handle the pressure from the modelling world better than Nik. Tyra asked each to point the pic on the table whom they want to win...smart move from the camera point of view. Finally the person who is going to be the next ANTM...shown on the big tv screen on their left..is...NICOLE!!!! Woo hoooooooooo!!!! Reunion show next week. Cool.

Johnny Rotten looks like he's not done with his views about Green Day. The singer believes that GD wouldn't have had a leg to stand on in the punk heyday and that they have since nicked punk's ideas. Thom Yorke has revealed that Radiohead are struggling with the recording of their new album. Posting on the Dead Air Space section of the band's official website, Yorke wrote that he was "unsure about everything" and that it was "very frustrating". The full post says: "Today, myself, I was struggling, feels like we've been trapped for a long time. In la la land. Very frustrating, and under pressure now, it's so slow. Keira Knightley's romance is rocking after her boyfriend flew into a rage on a night out. Rupert Friend was so frustrated at being ignored by his Pride And Prejudice co-star on a night out in London he snapped and literally demanded Knightley's attention. Apparently, "rehab addict" Courtney Love has met with Doherty's former bandmate Carl Barat, and he has asked her to help his mate. "I'll Cure Doherty's Demons," says the headline on The Star above a shot of Doherty biting on a cigarette and another of Love sat in the backseat of a car. A source says that Love "sees herself in Pete" and doesn't want him to end up like Kurt Cobaine, her former husband who committed suicide. As Love says: "Someone needs to tell you what an ass you're being - and you need to listen." Nice to see C.L helping out to knock some sense into that boy.

If you're looking for a band that combines the sound of Radiohead (I'm not kidding listen to their song "Go Away") and the delicacy of Rufus Wainwright on the hushed album closer, "My Chosen One," then the Guillemots come highly recommended.

Can't think of a better opening for their debut album. Starting it off with some furious rock n roll beats from all the instruments, it might be an indication to the first time listeners what the fook is this hype all about. First line is "Anticipation has the habit to set.. you.. up!", where Turner begins telling a story on a particular street which will be full of activities come sunset. What kinda stuff? Another section worth mentioning is echoing out the phrase "..bear that in mind tonight", that sounds amazing to say the least. The chorus mentions about how some lady is unconcerned about the content in her sms inbox, range of melodies almost 90% different in each line. FOOOKIN' NICE! I like the way they repeat the 1st verse section...breaks into a three second drum solo and moves straight to the chorus. AND to end it all of with the same freakin' instrumental intro! Never before have I ever heard of this kind of song structure from any band.

One of the stand out tracks from YYYs second album is 'Honeybear'. Starts with a background kind of vocals accompanied with simple toned down drums and muttering out the words according to the guitar tunes that sounds quite catchy, at which one might suspect Karen O would be screaming her lungs out any time soon but the surprise is that she didn't. Out comes some kind of military-like drums & guitar sounds with the vocals just sashaying along to the beat. Love it love it love it. Imagine this song as the newborn niece of 'Seven Nation Army'. The electronica solo is also done tastefully well, like some back-up dancers appearing out of nowhere and blended well with the main performer. After the solo, the song is toned down again with Karen O in a speak/sing mode...stopping for about a few seconds, allowing the drums spice up the tempo and then continue singing the chorus. Awesome way to end the song with the words "What...What...What..", leaving meself happy to repeat it again for a few dozenth time.

Jessica Simpson has hinted she is ready to abandon her music career for good, despite being contracted to release another three records. The pop star made her acting debut in last year's The Dukes Of Hazzard which was a crap show and is now keen to pursue a Hollywood career. However, Sony music insists the starlet is contracted for at least another three discs. Simpson says: "Music will always be my passion, but I don't have to do it professionally. Louis Vuitton has reportedly signed Lindsay Lohan to pose for their new ads. Lindsay will appear in ads for the autumn/winter 2006-7 collection that designer Marc Jacobs describes as "very young" and "cartoony". The actress follows Uma, Jennifer Lopez & Scarlett Johannson. Dirty Pretty Things have launched a sister site to their official website, and announced details of a competition. Fans can send in photos of themselves and the boys in the band to put in a gallery featured on the site. The best shots will be featured on a free poster to accompany the release Dirty Pretty Things debut single Bang Bang You're Dead on April 24th, as well as appearing in a gallery on the DVD version of the single. One very lucky entrant will win a Panasonic NVGS17B video camera and film an interview with the band.

Arctic Monkeys are set to release a five-track EP containing fresh material later this spring. Their next single will be 'The View From The Afternoon' and it will come with more tracks. Although details yet to emerge, bassist Andy Nicholson said they have been busy working on the EP in-between tours. Andy articulately said: "We're going to finish the new songs, then we're going to record them, then we're going to play them live and stick them on a CD. "It's going to be an external player, I'm not joking, five songs, and its hopefully going to be out in April." More raw rock songs for the indie dancefloor are always welcomed.

This week, Bre can't believe she is still in the competition even after the redbull incident. Jayla herself said that when Lisa was eliminated, anything could happen. Tyra mail - All had to dress in a certain manner... Jayla punk, Bre preppy, Nik mod & Nicole bollywood...Nicole didn't know what bollywood is and Nik said maybe they meant 'hollywood'..hahahaha.. Next day, they went to meet a famous UK fashion designer who introduced them to the four styles with a live model showcasing it. Nicole didn't know what to do with a Sari..wrapping it around her waist??.. but later received help from the guy. Next was preppy...and he said Bre with mini skirts is not preppy...Next was punk and he said the jap-cartoon-tee gal looked the 'prissy punk' not the sex-pistols kinda punk. Lastly was Mod where Twiggy was there to tell them what it meant. Nik did not dress like a mod. They were then asked to go to four different shops and for an interview session with the people there wearing the four types of dressing style. Ashley Isham from the bollywood store told them the accumulated points...winner = Nik! She gets 100 shots..she then chose Nicole for 80 shots...who chose Jayla for 60 shots...Bre got 50 shots. Jayla wants to pair up with Nik for a shopping trip later on. Nicole was a bit worried about going with Bre. But it turned out well...both settled their differences. Back home, Nicole was glad she paired up with Bre and told Nik truthfully, she don't really wanna go shopping with Jayla...funny girl. Bollywood photoshoot! Bre was not feeling well but then she was the first with only 50 shots and can't get to see herself before the shoot so she just got on with it. Bre looked traditional..Nik chose orange colour and modernized it well..Nicole who wore blue colour looked like a cat that was wrapped around some curtain...with the butt area exposed...haha. Jayla chose pink-white stripes and did ok with it. Miss Jay was shocked that Bre actually took a medicine pill from one of the competitors(Jayla)... too bad. Judging time. Nicole's photoshoot was brilliant..finally delivering what Tyra wanted to see. Bre...ok... Jayla didn't stand out from the back-up dancers in the photo. Nik did very well with her bollywood neck-y pose. First name called...Nicole...Nik..both were told to show more personality. Jayla & Bre last two. Bre lack of height...Jayla lack of self-confidence. And a shocked Bre saw her photo..which meant JAYLA was sent home! What the ^&|;";%(@~*#^%)@*#%)?*%#)*@#&)**&^;^+_(#^@_(*#&@|#& is wrong with the judges???? :(

Peter Loraine is to take charge of a new pop-oriented Polydor label, which will house acts including Girls Aloud and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Loraine, who has been Polydor's marketing director since April 2004, says Fascination will have a broad artist base and will serve as a hook to attract artists to the main Polydor roster. "We have the ability now to really focus on four or five acts," says Loraine, who takes the title of label manager at Fascination. "If you look at the artists selling millions of records at the moment, they really stretch the boundaries of what you'd consider pop. We really want to sign a broad roster." Loraine's pedigree for running a pop label are second to none, having joined Polydor in April 1998 from Top Of The Pops magazine, where as editor he took the title from launch to monthly sales of more than half million, while famously coining Spice Girls' nicknames.
