The pop star made her acting debut in last year's The Dukes Of Hazzard which was a crap show and is now keen to pursue a Hollywood career. However, Sony music insists the starlet is contracted for at least another three discs. Simpson says: "Music will always be my passion, but I don't have to do it professionally. It's just not really about that for me anymore. I feel like I don't have to look at it as a career. I can just rest in it and just be." Amanda Bynes had to settle for soft drinks on a recent trip to Boston. She was carded with her "She's the Man" co-stars during dinner at Todd English's Bonfire. Louis Vuitton has reportedly signed Lindsay Lohan to pose for their new ads. Lindsay will appear in ads for the autumn/winter 2006-7 collection that designer Marc Jacobs describes as "very young" and "cartoony". The actress follows Uma, Jennifer Lopez & Scarlett Johannson. "There are all sorts of people I'd like to work with," Marc said when he picked Bundchen last season. Dirty Pretty Things have launched a sister site to their official website, and announced details of a competition. Fans can send in photos of themselves and the boys in the band to put in a gallery featured on the site. The best shots will be featured on a free poster to accompany the release Dirty Pretty Things debut single Bang Bang You're Dead on April 24th, as well as appearing in a gallery on the DVD version of the single. One very lucky entrant will win a Panasonic NVGS17B video camera and film an interview with the band.

Arctic Monkeys are set to release a five-track EP containing fresh material later this spring. Their next single will be 'The View From The Afternoon' and it will come with more tracks. Although details yet to emerge, bassist Andy Nicholson said they have been busy working on the EP in-between tours. Andy articulately said: "We're going to finish the new songs, then we're going to record them, then we're going to play them live and stick them on a CD. "It's going to be an external player, I'm not joking, five songs, and its hopefully going to be out in April." More raw rock songs for the indie dancefloor are always welcomed.

This week, Bre can't believe she is still in the competition even after the redbull incident. Jayla herself said that when Lisa was eliminated, anything could happen. Tyra mail - All had to dress in a certain manner... Jayla punk, Bre preppy, Nik mod & Nicole bollywood...Nicole didn't know what bollywood is and Nik said maybe they meant 'hollywood'..hahahaha.. Next day, they went to meet a famous UK fashion designer who introduced them to the four styles with a live model showcasing it. Nicole didn't know what to do with a Sari..wrapping it around her waist??.. but later received help from the guy. Next was preppy...and he said Bre with mini skirts is not preppy...Next was punk and he said the jap-cartoon-tee gal looked the 'prissy punk' not the sex-pistols kinda punk. Lastly was Mod where Twiggy was there to tell them what it meant. Nik did not dress like a mod. They were then asked to go to four different shops and for an interview session with the people there wearing the four types of dressing style. Ashley Isham from the bollywood store told them the accumulated points...winner = Nik! She gets 100 shots..she then chose Nicole for 80 shots...who chose Jayla for 60 shots...Bre got 50 shots. Jayla wants to pair up with Nik for a shopping trip later on. Nicole was a bit worried about going with Bre. But it turned out well...both settled their differences. Back home, Nicole was glad she paired up with Bre and told Nik truthfully, she don't really wanna go shopping with Jayla...funny girl. Bollywood photoshoot! Bre was not feeling well but then she was the first with only 50 shots and can't get to see herself before the shoot so she just got on with it. Her photoshoot was lifeless and Jay said it looks like Bre wasn't in the building at all. Jayla next. As usual, gorgeous face but only one kind of expression. *Le Sigh*. Nicole next..she did ok. Last was Nik. She did brilliantly and don't even need 100 shots to impress. They then had dinner with Nigel Barker & mum Gillian. They learnt how to wear a Sari from her. Tyra mail. All will meet the judges tomorrow.. Jayla wore a 'fake genius' t-shirt. She, Bre and Nicole were not feeling good abt their chances of staying on. Bre spoke at toilet cam - said she deserved to stay... So at the judging room they were asked to modernize the Sari in 3 mins time. Bre looked traditional..Nik chose orange colour and modernized it well..Nicole who wore blue colour looked like a cat that was wrapped around some curtain...with the butt area exposed...haha. Jayla chose pink-white stripes and did ok with it. Miss Jay was shocked that Bre actually took a medicine pill from one of the competitors(Jayla)... too bad. Judging time. Nicole's photoshoot was brilliant..finally delivering what Tyra wanted to see. Bre...ok... Jayla didn't stand out from the back-up dancers in the photo. Nik did very well with her bollywood neck-y pose. First name called...Nicole...Nik..both were told to show more personality. Jayla & Bre last two. Bre lack of height...Jayla lack of self-confidence. And a shocked Bre saw her photo..which meant JAYLA was sent home! What the ^&|;";%(@~*#^%)@*#%)?*%#)*@#&)**&^;^+_(#^@_(*#&@|#& is wrong with the judges???? :(

Peter Loraine is to take charge of a new pop-oriented Polydor label, which will house acts including Girls Aloud and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Loraine, who has been Polydor's marketing director since April 2004, says Fascination will have a broad artist base and will serve as a hook to attract artists to the main Polydor roster. "We have the ability now to really focus on four or five acts," says Loraine, who takes the title of label manager at Fascination. "If you look at the artists selling millions of records at the moment, they really stretch the boundaries of what you'd consider pop. We really want to sign a broad roster." Loraine's pedigree for running a pop label are second to none, having joined Polydor in April 1998 from Top Of The Pops magazine, where as editor he took the title from launch to monthly sales of more than half million, while famously coining Spice Girls' nicknames.
