Graffiti My Soul
Charlotte Church has been snapped playing happy families with her philandering step-dad - as he helps her move into her new 500,000 pounds Cardiff home. She fell out with James over his cocaine-fuelled sex sessions with a waitress, which are held responsible for her mother, Maria, taking a tablet overdose last year. However, it seems the worst is over, as Chaz, Gav and James were seen carting furniture to her new pad. Charlotte also took driving lessons with stepfather James at the weekend. She was spotted getting to grips with her new Mini car which her boy, Gavin, reportedly lavished on her as a Christmas present. I think by taking driving lessons, there is a sign that the reported feud between the pair has been put to rest. She has now made a vow of silence to save her career. Charlotte is determined not to end up like Geri, Victoria(?!?!?!) and Rachel Stevens, whose chart success has all suffered at the hands of over-exposure. She is following in the footsteps of international stars like Madonna, George Michael and Elton John, who rarely give interviews. The source revealed: "There is something about her every day in the press. She is fed up with the tittle-tattle every day of the week. There is too much out there about her. Charlotte just wants a break. We are going away and coming back. There may be some live UK dates later this year." Not too sure about Maddy, GM & Elton staying away from journalists though. Charlotte has confirmed on her official site that 'Moodswings' will be released in February as the next single.
Thumbs downs to this! Golden Globe organisers have been warned to keep Scarlett Johansson and Keira Knightley well away from each other at tonight's award ceremonies - for fears that slaps and insults will be exchanged. The girls have never openly admitted a mutual loathing but it is well known amongst LA's glitterati that there is more than a tad of animosity between them. A source confirmed: "They'll be seated as far away from each other as is possible." The girls who regularly compete for the same roles are both up for an award, Keira's is for Best Actress for her role in Pride and Prejudice, while Scarlett is gunning for best supporting actress for Match Point. The source continued: "It's also been arranged for Keira and Scarlett to arrive at different times. The last thing anyone wants is an unseemly red-carpet cat-fight in front of the cameras." Of course they won't do such a silly thing at a huge event. But if it ever happened, there's always security to help out after a short wait..
Keira Knightley says she likes jumping around and getting "very sweaty" when she goes out partying at night. She explained to Cosmo mag: "I'm one of those people who goes to a club and gets very, very sweaty and makes a complete fool of herself." Ooooooh... Which begs the question - How is Keira not hanging out with Paris Hilton or Tara Reid yet?
Avril Lavigne will perform during the Closing Ceremony of the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin, Italy. She is featured in a special eight-minute production designed to celebrate Canada and point the way to the 2010 Winter Games, which will be held in Vancouver. The Closing Ceremony(Feb 26th) has a live audience of about 32,000 people and is seen worldwide by a television audience of 500 million. The Canadian Games will be held in Vancouver from Feb.12-28, 2010. Definitely one career highlight for this gal. How ladylike will she appear in?
Franz Ferdinand last week talked about who they thought should win Brit awards before the nominations came out, and they suggested that Girls Aloud should win Best Single for Biology... "We really like Girls Aloud. There is some good song writing from whoever is writing for them. Out of all that lot of pop acts, we definitely rate the girls as the best." Good taste from the Big Brothers.
The Strokes performed on Fuse's '7th Avenue Drop' on Thursday (January 12) in New York City.
Babyshambles performed in concert at The Plug in Sheffield, England on Tuesday (January 10). Check out pictures from FilmMagic (show / backstage).
Some cool G.A pics.
JoJo and Stacie Orrico have recorded a duet to be featured on both their upcoming albums. The song title is called 'Cradle'. Stacie has a good voice (as does JoJo) and their styles will be probably compliment each other. She's not the average popstar either and i remembered 'More To Life' was hugely underrated a few years back. Jojo's album will be out in March 2006. The first single is "Too Little, Too Late," and is due to hit radio in this month.
Natasha Hamilton did some interviews lately and she said that Atomic Kitten didn't split, they are just having a break and they are reforming at the end of this year. Tash wants to spend sometime with her kids and Jenny & Liz are doing their solo stuff. She may release something around this year. Check out Liz' CD:UK performance (14-01-2006) video for her first solo single Woman In Love.
Simon Cowell is making a movie about..........himself! His first film supposedly tells the story of two young wannabes striving to make it to the top. But sources claim the movie is a "very thinly disguised" account of his own rise to fame. Thinly ayye? The starring role is for a pop svengali who helps turn the young pop hopefuls into stars. A Hollywood source revealed: "It appears he's going to base his big-budget movie on two subjects he knows and loves best - the pop business and himself. It draws on his life as the man behind some of Britain's most successful pop acts. It tells the story of two pop wannabes' struggles - but there's no doubt who it's about. Simon's very excited and hopes it'll get under way this year." So basically it's a movie where he is the saviour/hero/angel/lovable one. The source added: "It'll feature the joy and the heartache of trying to make it big in the pop world. It will be an uplifting, feel-good movie, but touch on things like sex and drugs." Hopefully not a feel-good factor for he, himself and Simon.
"I'm a tender, loving and beautiful guy who tends to slap a photographer now and then." - Liam Gallagher, Oasis star known as much for his temper as for his musical talent (from some tabloid source). Trying hard to keep a straight face without expressing any hint of laughter is impossible when reading this sort of comment from everyone's fav Rock n Roll star.
Victoria was seen hanging out with Geri again [ 1 2 3 4 ]. Notice how she only hangs out with pregnant women? Errr..what's with that horrible jeans?
At least four actresses screentested this past week for one of two roles in the forthcoming James Bond film "Casino Royale". Bond's first love Vesper Lynd is the lead female role in the film. French actor Simon Abkarian has landed the role of the villainous Dimitrius. The other day, MI6 revealed three of the women who were in contention to star alongside the new 007 Daniel Craig were Rose Byrne, Vera Farmiga and Rachael Stirling. Now, the British tabloids report that Rose Byrne, the 26-year-old Aussie actress mentioned above, has landed the part. An insider says "All the actresses had to perform a bedroom scene with Daniel where Bond says he is leaving the service to be with Vesper Lynd. Barbara Broccoli was particularly impressed by Rose". Byrne would appear to have beaten out Farmiga and Sterling. The winner of the key role of Bond girl Vesper Lynd has yet to be announced but it could be as early as this coming Friday. Whereas This Is London site suggested that a former Italian beauty contestant, Caterina Murino, has been lined up for Daniel Craig's 007 debut. A film source told : "Caterina has got dark, beautiful Latin looks and is stunning." However, the obscure Italian actress missed out on the female lead of Vesper Lynd - which is still to be cast. We shall find out the official decision by this week.
Every six months or so, it seems that people who were involved with "The X Files" assure all us fans that another movie will be made. Gillian Anderson said at a recent interview with a BBC producer that the one Hollywood movie she hopes to do is a sequel to the 1998 "X Files" film. "David and I and (creator) Chris Carter are determined to do it," Anderson said. But due to certain rights issues, "it's become a bit messy. I think the intention is that we will and we hope to - and that, hopefully, by the time we actually do, whenever that is, people will still give a damn." Her next movie, "A Cock and Bull Story" adapted from Laurence Sterne's legendarily offbeat novel "Tristram Shandy," is due for American release later this month.
"Lindsay Lohan is about to be a very busy girl. The singer/actress released her sophomore album, 'A Little More Personal', last December and has released the disc's second single, 'I Live For The Day'. In a bid to boost sales due to unsatisfactory chart standings, Casablanca Records has cancelled the release of the single and video for, 'I Live For The Day'. Instead the track, 'Fastlane', will be the new second single and will also serve as the theme song to Lohan's upcoming film, 'Just My Luck' released in May 12th. The music video will be shot the first week in February." Fastlane. Maybe describing the kind of high she's having while hanging out with Katy. Chorus -> [ Well I want to lose my mind (Well I want to lose my mind) ]. The last line to that song is 'You only live once'. What the..

There's something about rock&roll that hits you in the heart. Which could be the ingenious idea behind UK's indie trio The Subways US debut coming out on February 14, 2006. To keep the love going before the album's release, the band have constructed a contest for fans. Going off the title of their first track from the album "What You've Got To Say" the band are letting fans tell them what they've got to say: about the band, their favorite rock & roll queen, or whatever love note they can muster. Check out all the details of the contest. If you enter the contest with a note for the band you will also be entered for a chance to get a phone call Billy, Charlotte and Josh on Valentine's Day along with an autographed CD & poster. Can you feel the love?
This is a funny interview with We Are Scientists. Don't know them? Jump on the scientists bandwagon now before the world knows about them. And no, they are much better than The Killers.
