Cigarette Smoke

George Clooney and Lucy Liu have sparked rumours of a romance after sharing a steamy New Year's kiss. The couple - who were rumoured to have briefly dated in 2000 - reportedly enjoyed a five-course meal at Miami's swanky Bed club before locking lips at the stroke of midnight. A source said: "She was all over him. And he didn't mind a bit. In fact, his hands started to wander." It isn't the first time the pair have been spotted smooching with one another. Last month, the actor - who split from on/off girlfriend Lisa Snowdon last year - and Lucy enjoyed a night out at an exclusive New York Club. Afterwards, they were allegedly spotted enjoying a passionate kiss in the back of the actor's limousine. An onlooker said at the time: "She looked like she was going to devour him." Lucy's rep, Steve Huvane, has refused to comment on the pair's alleged budding romance, saying: "It's nobody's business." What kind of reply is that.. Clooney keeping up with the 'L' trend?

Arctic Monkeys have been compared to Oasis in many ways since bursting onto the music scene. And now it seems they have something else in common - a love of watching Celtic. The Gallagher brothers are long-time fans of that football club, and have been seen a few times at Parkhead. Now it appears their young pretenders from Sheffield are also fans of the Hoops. Arctic Monkeys are in Scotland later this month for the Shockwaves NME tour and are desperate to get to a game. Hmm, Celtic seems to have some indie rocknroll frontmen fans. Not bad. A friend of the band said: "Any time they visit Glasgow it seems to be the day before or just after a game. They do have a soft spot for Celtic because one of the guys they tour with is a big fan." The band will join Maximo Park, We Are Scientists, and Mystery Jets at Glasgow's Carling Academy on Friday, Jan 27th at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh.

Morrissey v Take That?
It never rains but it pours in the music world. The May 06 weekend when Take That will make their triumphant comeback to their home city of Manchester just happens to coincide with planned dates for Manc music legend Morrissey's new tour. Take That will be playing the M.E.N Arena during the first weekend in May - while Morrissey is pencilled in at the Manchester Apollo, Opera House and Bridgewater Hall over the same nights. Let's just hope the city can cope with so many fervent fans in one go.

Robbie Williams is loving aliens instead, after two weeks of intensive Scientology lessons from his ex-squeeze Geri Halliwell. The Robster has joined the controversial cult made famous by celebrity devotees including Tom/Katie and John Travolta. And it's all thanks to Geri, who recently phoned the rock DJ to explain that the wacky belief system had changed her life for the better. Robb asked her to teach him about the religion, which was founded by sci-fi writer L Ron Hubbard and revolves around the concept that an evil intergalactic warlord called Xena once kidnapped billions of life forms and tortured them on earth, where they eventually evolved into humans. A little far-fetched we think you'll agree, but Robbie swallowed the story(????) and is travelling to Tinseltown for more extra-terrestrial worship. So now the singer has been a regular at London's Church of Scientology on Tottenham Court Road. And the former alcoholic and drug addict has fiercely turned against medication and psychiatry, because the cult insists they mask real problems which can be treated with exercise and spiritual study.
A man in the space ship said: "Robbie is obsessed with aliens, which is why he's trying to get a seat on Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic ship, which will rocket into orbit in 2010. "He is desperate for a belief system and a religion which incorporates his love of extra-terrestrials is ideal for him. And it is a huge comfort to him, because he's very lonely and bored touring the world." It seems that, just like ET, all Robbie wants is to go home...

This just confirmed my suspicions about what Stephan Gately said earlier this week. Ronan Keating has announced that he will not be reforming his old boy band Boyzone for a reunion tour as he is too busy. Instead he will be releasing his fifth solo album! In a statement on his official website a spokesperson said: "Ronan has no plans to get back together with Boyzone just now. The guys remain good friends but with a new solo album coming out Ronan is not able to commit to a Boyzone reunion at present." It may come as a bit of a shock to ex-band mate Stephen Gately earlier in the week told the press: "We had a long chat about reforming and Ronan is definitely in. He said he can't wait to meet up with the rest of the lads again. How deluded is he?

Kylie Minogue's spokesperson has denied she has been given the all-clear. Reports suggested that the singer had been given the all-clear from breast cancer by a doctor in France. Her spokesperson said: "Fortunately we are still able to say we have received no news of a reoccurrence of the cancer. "However at this point in time Kylie's treatments are continuing." She'll be fine.

"Standing On My Own Again" is a song from Graham Coxon's sixth studio album, Love Travels At Illegal Speeds. It is scheduled to be released as the first single from that album on February 27, 2006. Stream -> [Win lo / hi ] [Real lo / hi ]

Clips of three new songs ('Dream You', 'Tantrum', and 'Last Day of My Life') from Stacie Orrico have been posted online.

Brisbane twins The Veronicas performed 'Everything I'm Not' and 'When It All Falls Apart' for a packed 'Sunrise' crowd in Sydney, Australia on Friday (Jan 13). In between songs, they also spoke with the program's hosts about their time in America in '05 and what they've been doing for fun while away from home. Watch the performances online at Seven.com.au ('Everything I'm Not').

Scarlett Johansson keeps abreast of what's hot by studying the style of Kate Moss. The actress admits the slender style icon never puts a fashionable foot wrong. She says, "Kate Moss always looks amazing. She always looks great in everything. She could wear a black sack and everyone would rush out to buy one." Lindsay Lohan don't think the same way about Scarlett, though. During a get-together session with Katy, while in the bathroom, Lindsay allegedly asked if anyone had a Sharpie. A fellow patron actually happened to have one and handed it over to Lohan, who then used it to scrawl 'Scarlett is a cunt' on the wall. That's not classy, Lindsay.

Conan O'Brien joked during his Late Night monologue on Thursday night, "Late last night -- I'm sorry I missed this -- late last night, right here in New York, Lindsay Lohan and Kate Moss stopped by the strip club, Scores, and did pole dances for the customers. [Cheers and applause] Actually, Lindsay Lohan did the pole dance, Kate Moss was the pole." Wahaahaha... Conan always know what to say to tickle the funny bone. Maybe Lohan is learning how to pole dance cause she just don't know what to do by herself..

Lindsay Lohan has added a new tattoo to her repertoire of body art, which already includes a star and the sexy slogan "La Bella Vita" on her ass. On Jan 8th, Lindsay and pals headed to a tattoo parlor in NYC, where the teen star had the subtext-heavy word 'BREATHE' inked onto her wrist. The paparazzi would expectedly have their lenses zoomed in on Lohan the next time she is out and about.

White Rose Movement have confirmed that their debut album will be called Kick'. The eagerly-anticipated long-player will hit the shelves on March 6 and features their two previous singles Alsatian and Love Is A Number. It's preceded by the single 'Girls In The Back' on Feb 27. Meanwhile, the band hit the road later this month supporting The Rakes.

The Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond spoke with Time Off magazine about the band's latest effort 'First Impressions Of Earth'. "The big difference was that we had time," Hammond said. "We already had a studio [in their Manhattan rehearsal space] and we spent our advance on equipment. It was the freedom to know we could be here as long - or short - as possible. We did a lot of soul searching before we started, and we took nine months to make it." Worth the wait of course.

Her 'Urban' cowboy was nowhere to be seen but Nicole Kidman was not hiding the sparkling ring that adds weight to suggestions wedding bells are ringing for the Aussie actress. With Keith Urban's ring clearly visible on her left hand, Nicole presented Rupert Murdoch with a humanitarian award in New York. "As you are probably aware we are both from a place we call 'Down Under'" she said, explaining why she had been chosen to present the award which recognises Mr Murdoch's support for Israel. Mr Murdoch thanked "his real friend and great sport" for agreeing to present the award. The actress was clearly the night's star attraction, with every glimpse of the ring on her wedding finger greeted with scores of rapid-fire camera flashes from the paparazzi. Despite the ring, Nicole has still not confirmed whether she is engaged. She spent Christmas at her boyfriend's Nashville home and has spent the past few weeks holidaying with him in the United States after wrapping up filming of 'The Visiting'. The cowboy keeping a low profile, eh? Everyone knows his secret by know.

Charlotte Church has apparently been offered a cameo appearance in The O.C. Creator Josh Schwartz has apparently become interested in the star since she struck up a friendship with Catherine Zeta Jones. A source revealed: "Her friendship with Catherine has got Charlotte noticed in Hollywood. Schwartz is a big Anglophile, he's fascinated by what's culturally hip in England." Not bad. Wonder what Mischa thinks about this Welsh chick. She might be glad that someone else will steal some publicity from her. Ben & Adam definitely will be looking forward to the new scripts.

London rapper Plan B is one of the hottest new talents in British urban music. With recent single 'No Good' having caused a stir amongst hip-hop and indie communities alike, here's the video. Plan B - No Good [ Win / Real ]

Get paid to download music???

Set to revolutionise the dance mat gaming phenomenon, Codemasters confirmed that Dance Factory will launch in America and Europe in April 2006 in time for Easter. Coming exclusively to PlayStation 2, Dance Factory will be the world's first dance mat game that enables players to personally choose the music tracks they want to groove to - from their own music CD collection! Load up Dance Factory on PlayStation 2, choose any music CD and watch as the game choreographs dance moves specifically for the track that you've chosen - live! Then, take to the dance mat stage and get your feet moving to the beats as the dance steps play out on screen. As well as making the moves, Dance Factory will also create animated background visuals to match the beat and style of your chosen track and bring your routine alive.

Dance Factory's innovative beat recognition technology, developed exclusively for the title, ensures that for the first time a dance mat game can span across all music tastes; it works with everything from a classic disco track, to guitar rock, R&B, to most current dance anthem. In addition to the unique 'any CD' concept, Dance Factory will unleash a whole load of different dance mat gaming modes - including Fitness, Endurance and Recorder.
You'll even be able to make Dance Factory part of your workout programme with the game's Fitness mode. The more you move, the more calories you burn and in this mode the game displays a calorie counter so you can see how much you're working off through the tracks...better than Weight Watchers! Dance Factory will also give players the chance to be the choreographer as well as the DJ too! In Recorder mode, you can set the dance moves for the track of you choice and Dance Factory will record it for you. Play it back, complete with your own dance moves, and challenge your friends to try out your steps. Now that sounds radical!
