Who Feels Love

Reminded of his time fronting the Stone Roses, singer Ian Brown stops and sighs. "I often think they were the best days, them early days," Brown said. "We'd played together for so long that we were really, really tight. I think that's why we were so successful when we did break through. But yeah, I am proud of what we achieved. There's not a lot of culture here [in England], y'know. Like, tea comes from China, y'know what I mean? We were able to contribute something to the culture here. Not many people can say that." When The Stone Roses finally did break up, Brown issued a statement denouncing the music business as "the filthiest business in the universe" and retreated briefly to working as a gardener. The music press tipped the band's guitarist, John Squire, for success and it appeared Brown was about to sink into obscurity. As it turns out, Brown's gone onto a well-respected and successful solo career, while Squire's ventures have proven rather hit-and-miss. Listening to The Greatest, its emphasis on beats really stands out. Foo-oooo-ooool's Gold = groooooovy...

King Monkey has slammed Chris Martin for moaning about the paparazzi, insisting press attention comes with the job. The All Ablaze guy also accuses Martin of ripping off other artists on their X+Y album. Brown said, "It (Speed Of Sound) sounds so like Echo And The Bunnyman, it amazes me how they've got away with it. I can't stand the way the guy sells millions of albums, plays stadiums, marries a Hollywood star and complains about the paparazzi. That comes with the territory." Yeah. Chris is quite good at moaning. Ian added: "It's a horrible name, Coldplay. It doesn't conjure up any positive thoughts. He looks like he's on the verge of a panic attack." Wahaahahahaa...coldplay is never associated with anything positive. Just another overrated band. Funny how I don't really bother about the Killers/Bravery culture anymore unlike early this year. They don't have the proper ID for long term success unlike..

Kasabian T-Shirts! Looks good. Time to visit parody t-shirt shops soon. Maybe those Celtic jerseys stock will run out as well.

Oasis dedicated a song to former Manyoo kingpin Roy Keane in Glasgow recently just after he signed for Celtic. Liam G is understood to have been given a very hostile reaction to his tribute to Keane from the Rangers fans in the crowd. Irish football legend Keane recently quit ManYoo and signed for Celtic - Glasgow Rangers' famed rivals - on Thursday. At their SECC show in the city, Gallagher introduced "Bring It On Down" with a Keane dedication, prompting riled fans to throw plastic beer glasses at the stage. Liam is understood to have responded: "You can take it, you're grown up, aren't you?" Kate Moss got a dedication with 'Morning Glory'.

MoS baby, MoS!!!!!!!
The biggest outfit of British dance club, Ministry of Sound, opens its doors in Singapore on Friday(16 Dec). Built at about S$7 million, the 40,000 square foot venue is the biggest outfit under the brand worldwide. The two-storey club at Clarke Quay can hold over 3,000 party-goers, who will get to enjoy four different genres of music under one roof. Es ist Superfantastisches!!

Renee Zellweger was spotted with ex-husband Kenny, meeting up for secret romantic dates in New York City and Connecticut. Diners and waitresses who have spotted the former couple enjoying each other's company at restaurants report the pair look like they are still together. But they did split - after just 128 days of marriage - when Zellweger filed for divorce, citing fraud among her mysterious reasons. One diner, who spotted the couple at intimate Italian restaurant Mario's in Rock Hill, Connecticut, said: "They just kept looking at each other. They were cuddling during their meal." Friends claim their secret dinner meetings are a sure sign the pair are planning to scrap divorce proceedings and reconcile. This is interesting. Wonder who initiated the meet-up..

Pierce Brosnan offered his Bond successor Daniel Craig words of encouragement in the days leading up to Craig's appointment in October. Despite his bitterness at being dropped as the superspy, Brosnan enjoyed bonding with Craig over a few drinks and gave him advice on how to play 007 in forthcoming Bond movie Casino Royale. Brosnan said: "I know the guy. We've gone out and we talked about it before the whole world knew about it. We had many beers over it and laughed and I wished him well. I just told him to have a good time with it, embrace it, enjoy it and travel through with his head high." They should have had martinis instead..

Hey.. no hotel yorba copyright please! Green Day and My Chemical Romance has been slammed by The White Stripes for "stealing" their colour combination. Jack and Meg White dress in red, white and black and use the colours for their album and single covers. Jack said: "Recently so many bands have adopted the red, white and black colour scheme that it's harder for us to stand out. Green Day, My Chemical Romance, there's plenty of them there." Not cool to 'offend in every way' especially when other groups want to hypnotize the audience using instinct blues methods. Anyways, WTF is Chem Romance all about?? Watching transvests model competition is more worthwhile..

Poor Ashlee. She is currently in a Tokyo hospital after collapsing following an MTV Japan performance. The singer had just performed her single Boyfriend when she said she felt unwell and told the audience she loved them. A few moments later she collapsed in an elevator and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Her spokesman has confirmed all of this and no word yet on how she's doing. before the audience when she told the crowd she felt unwell, and said to them, 'I love you guys.' She then collapsed in an elevator at MTV Japan and was rushed by ambulance to an undisclosed hospital where she has remained. Her publicist, Rob Shuter, confirmed the hospitalization but no further details. The singer has been on a strenuous tour schedule supporting her comeback album. Must be the fault of Joe. Her performamce at the Radio Music Awards on Monday has been canceled, and her family is currently waiting for a diagnosis before deciding whether to fly to Japan, or have Simpson return to the States. One source says the likely diagnosis will be exhaustion. She needs a much needed break.

Lunarin "The Chrysalis" Album Launch (7 Jan 06). This is a quality local band. The trio's brand of music has been described as moody and heavy. That is however only one facet of their sound. If one were to dwell into the music and pay attention to the nuances, one would discover that there is an emphasis on melody and an emphasis on the power of words. I think they are cool, unlike the many pretentious local bands out there.

Some kind soul basically typed out almost the entire content (with scanned pics) of 'Kids in the Riot: Highs and Lows with The Libertines' book.

Oasis, Franz Ferdinand, Maximo Park, Placebo, Ian Brown and Snow Patrol have all been confirmed to play the Bangkok 100 Rock Festival in 2006. They will join local artists on the February 18-19 bill at the Lakeside Muangthong Thani in the Thai capital. Tickets for the event go on sale from midnight on December 17. I think the tics will be snapped within 15-30mins; and there is no english translation from the ticketing site!!!! *pulls hair*

Joy Division are to record new material for the biopic of their late bandmate Ian Curtis, over 25 years after the British band's demise. The group split after frontman Curtis, at just 23, hanged himself in his Macclesfield, England, home in 1980. After years of planning a film on his life, Curtis' widow Deborah has finally agreed to a script proposal and filming is expected to begin next year. Bassist Peter Hook says: "We were asked to do the soundtrack to the film which I thought was a great idea, for Joy Division to do the music for a Joy Division film because we've never really done a soundtrack before. The soundtrack could include new stuff.
"Basically Anton (Corbijn, director) wants to use certain songs by Joy Division so that each song becomes a video. "Every time we get accolades for Joy Division it makes (Ian's suicide) sadder, especially with the film. Working on the film has made the whole thing seem more poignant." Other similar stuff would be Sid Vicious film (Sid & Nancy) and Kurt Cobain's film (Kurt & Courtney). Maybe in about 8-10 years time, there would be plans for a 'Pete & Kate' production?

Secretly-recorded tracks Pete Doherty jointly wrote and sang with ex-girlfriend Kate Moss may make their way to the public. "There's a whole stack of them and they're great," the Babyshambles singer told a spy. "Many could be hits. Would I release them? Well, I would love it." Hmmm...more of 'La Belle Et La Bete' catchy tunes in store? Damn.. that one bloody song is enough to stop listening to the rest of the album.

Kate Moss has ditched her close-knit group of wild friends and been spotted out shopping with that idiot Jack Osbourne. The supermodel, who has been advised to stay clear of her pals and drug addled boyfriend Pete Doherty after being pictured snorting cocaine earlier this year, was pictured out in Los Angeles with Jack - who has also been through rehab and quit drink and drugs. It would be nice if Kate could relay a message to his sister to stop destroying the ears of everyone with her pathetic songs. All her albums should be orbited into space.

Speaking of which, Robbie Williams wants to fly into space. He is desperate for Sir Richard Branson to invite him on the Virgin Galactic SpaceShip when it goes into orbit in 2010. Don't know what he is up to. Maybe sick of boring earth? A ticket for the interstellar trip costs just 115,000 pounds per person. He once told a radio station: "I've been dreaming every night about UFO's, every night. I can't wait to go to sleep at night because those dreams have been so brilliant. I think they are definitely on there way, seriously. Mark my words. From now until 2012 - watch out kids." Planning an earlier 'advertising space' to the aliens out there, eh?

Robbie Williams and 50 Cent appeared on the German TV show "Wetten, dass..?" on ZDF television at the Rheinhalle in Duesseldorf, Germany on Saturday (December 10). Check out the pics from Intertopics/ Getty / Spiegel.

Keira Knightley is jealous of other women's legs. The actress says she becomes a green eyed monster when she spots someone with long, lean pins because she hates hers. She said: "I hate my body. I like so many other people's bodies. I like legs - a good pair of legs on someone else always makes me jealous!" She better not look at Nadine Coyle then. Meanwhile, Keira has posed for a series of sexy shots - 13ft underwater. The sensational photos feature Keira wearing a long gown and a dazzling 42,000 pound necklace as she poses in a special pool used for the James Bond films at Pinewood Studios. The unusual campaign is part of a bid to raise funds for the charity WaterAid. After emerging from the water at the end of the shoot with her dress dripping wet and clinging to her, Keira joked with the crowd, saying: "I don't think I've got the right assets for a Bond film - but maybe I'll become a scuba diver after this shoot!" She is also quoted as saying: "I loved it. I concentrated on trying not to drown. I'd definitely encourage other stars to give it a go for such a worthwhile charity." Keira will visit Tanzania next year to see how WaterAid's funding is helping to change the lives of so many people.
