Puttin' On the Ritz

Louis Walsh wants Boyzone to get back together. The X Factor judge also revealed he has settled his rift with lead singer Ronan Keating. The pair fell out when Ronan dumped Louis as his manager. Now Louis says: "Ronan is a nice guy and I said some unkind things about him. I'm sorry. I'd never say no to working with him again". Then he added: "If the Take That reunion can work, why not Boyzone?" Boyzone split in 1999 after five years together. Good to hear that they have settled their differences. I have always pictured Take That as the 'bad boys' and Boyzone the opposite. Not too sure if Ronan has time for a comeback, him being the current trade justice ambassador for the charity Christian Aid. Maybe there's a chance for a reunion concert?

The legendary Sean Connery has given his blessing to new James Bond actor Daniel Craig. He said Craig was a "terrific choice" for the role. We shall see whether Mr Connery has a good judgement on this cause I have me own reservations about this new guy. Some critics have questioned whether Craig, 34, is right for the part. Sir Sean said: "He's a terrific choice. He's a good actor. It's a completely new departure." Sean first starred as Bond in Dr No in 1962 and went on to play the superspy in six more films. Explaining why he quit the role, he said: "One of the reasons I stopped doing it was because I got really fed up with the space stuff and special effects. I just found it getting more and more influential in the movies." But he predicted the next film, Casino Royale, will be a winner with Craig in the lead role. "Craig's a great choice, really interesting - different," he said. This blond bond has a lot of convincing to be done if he wants to stay on par with the last spy, Pierce Brosnan.

Check out the new tracks from The Eighties Matchbox B-line Disaster! They've got some hauntingly melodious tunes. 'I Hate The Blues' is just superb.

Keith Urban has a hellish drug past that will shock girlfriend Nicole Kidman. The singer has confessed he was brought to his knees by his addiction to cocaine as he battled loneliness and rejection in his quest for stardom. Friends say he was also hooked on booze and is known as Nashville's country Casanova, who has left a trail of broken hearts in his wake. "Keith calls himself a work in progress," a close friend said. "The question is if he can keep on the straight and narrow for Nicole's sake. But I think the real trouble will come when Nicole is not around and he's left to his own devices." His ride to the top has brought him fame, money and the girl of his dreams in Nicole. But by his own admission, he still battles the demons of drugs and alcohol every day of his life. "I don't know that you ever beat it," he said in an interview. "It's a struggle for me, because I hate the straight road, too. I find it very monotonous and boring." Kidman must have known about this for some time. With her taking relts seriously, all precautions should be under control.

Someone who is not under proper control is Pete Doherty. He claims his former girlfriend Kate Moss only visited a drugs rehabilitation centre in Arizona in a bid to protect her career after her cocaine scandal in Sept. Moss completed a 30-day treatment at the Meadows Clinic in October. Doherty has been dumped by Moss when he failed to complete a similar rehab programme at the same clinic. That is not surprising at all. Doherty also believes Moss is frightened of being drawn back to drugs. He says: "Everyone believes she went in there to beat her cocaine addiction. That's wrong. She did it to save her career. Having said that, she came out saying it really works. "But she is terrified of her will-power failing. She's petrified of being caught again." But now, Doherty is petrified of being sent back to jail after getting caught with hidden drugs. Currently on bail, he is due to report back to police in January pending further inquiries. When will this boy ever learn?

Renee Zellweger was left red-faced during a recent trip to a London coffee shop, because she didn't have enough money to pay for her order. Renee was horrified when she realised the store's credit card system was broken, because she didn't have any money to pay for the £18 bill after ordering frappuccinos and lattes for herself and some friends. Derek Smoczy, the manager of the coffee shop, says: "She was very apologetic." He reveals the movie star asked him if she could pay for her coffee bill the following day, but she failed to return. Instead, embarrassed Renee sent an assistant to settle the bill a few days later. Ain't that so cute...

Hannibal strikes again! Sir Anthony Hopkins launched a scathing attack on British theatre. He labelled them as "pomposity and arrogance" and insists he will never return to the London stage...
Hopkins has no regrets about turning his back on the stage in favour of Hollywood. He said, "I don't care what people think. I've had my fill of pomposity and arrogance and manipulation when I worked in the British theatre and the best decision I ever made was to leave that world and make my way in films. I've always had zero tolerance for pretentiousness and stupidity. There's enough cruelty in life without our adding to it and it's a code I've tried to live by." Maybe he just doesn't like the london food especially...the prawn sandwich (or is it ground prawn slurry)?

One of the most exciting shows ever - Twin Peaks - is set to return, with Kyle MacLachlan said to be planning a comeback as Agent Dale Cooper. Mark Frost, co-creator of the series has revealed that he has been in talks with the Canadian actor with regard to making a follow up to the 'Twin Peaks' movie and the sequel 'Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me'. "We've talked a little and it's (the project) a possibility down the road," he said. "I think it would be hard to re-create the world of 'Twin Peaks' at this point, but Kyle is still there and still a terrific actor, and that's a character we could possibly take other places." British production company Phoenixmedia is believed to have sparked the planned Twin Peaks reunion, having been working on a new 'Twin Peaks' prequel, which will be titled 'With A Thousand Angels'. They have however so far failed to get permission to go ahead from director and co-creator David Lynch.
