Good Morning Joan

The Prodigy currently stand as one of the biggest dance acts in the world. Following underground success on the UK rave scene, they hit the public eye in 1996, with their number one single Firestarter. The band are currently working on their eagerly-anticipated new album which is set to be released next year. A compilation album usually signals a change of direction, so what can we expect these new tracks to sound like?
"It's gonna be The Prodigy. I know that sounds boring but there's no masterplan. At the end of the day, it will evolve. There's usually a springboard track that defines what all the other tracks are gonna be about. I don't think we've found that yet but we're still writing it. We've got the energy, we've got the passion and that's what matters." It is their law. Nobody messes with the firestarters. Breathe the pressure.

'What Else Is There?' is the latest single from Norway's chilled out group, Royksopp. Released on Nov 28, the track is taken from their second album, The Understanding. A little spooky video, but at least they didn't pick Emily Rose as the lead. That would make everyone pee their pants instantly. Nothing surprising about the brilliance of the song.

Still some time left to purchase an earlier stock of Girls Aloud Barbie dolls.

Mark Owen performed his first solo single 'Believe in the Boogie' in Germany. Would probably fade away like Gary Barlow back then in 97-98.. Anyways, Robb has refused to join his former Take That pals for a reunion. Gary, Mark, Jason Orange and Howard Donald will turn up for the preview screening of a TV documentary about the band. But despite helping them to make the programme, Robb won't attend the event in Notting Hill, West London. A source said: "Robbie announced he wasn't coming. The rest of the band were gutted but felt the show had to go on." The documentary "Take That....For The Record", will be screened on ITV1 on Wed. A greatest hits package on CD and DVD hits shops today. And in Jan, the first Take That single since they split - 1996 song "Today I've Lost You" - will be released. There is growing speculation the band will sing at the Brit Awards in February. Would be interesting if Robb is also set to perform on the same event. The foursome might be able to coax him to help them relight their fire for one just night..

50 Cent claimed that Eminem has been his mentor for the debut movie 'Get Rich Or Die Trying'. Eminem - who has been through similar musical experiences as Fiddy - has also made his own movie '8 Mile'. Fiddy said: "Eminem gave me some good tips, advice and information I could use. He helped me on a lot of different levels people don't know. Cause personally, it's easy for your head to get big when you're having some success, but when you have good people around you, they'll keep you grounded." Nothing like a good ol' Em support to keep him in check. Apparently, 50 suffered from stage fright when he had to shoot love scenes with co-star Joy Bryant. He felt out of his depth with an audience of 34 cast and crew members watching him get intimate with her. "I got comfortable working on the other scenes, then when we got to the love scene, it was a little different," said Mr P.I.M.P. "It's almost like being in a room naked with a bunch of people around you. In that case, it was 34 people on the set, it was tough." Difficult? Nah.....

Noel Gallagher vs (hip-hop + rnb + current indie bands)
Noel Gallagher has spoken of his hatred for the Hip-Hop and RnB scenes, branding artists of the genres "a bunch of idiots". The guitarist tore into the scenes, questioning their moral and ethical grounding. Noel ranted : " I fookin hate it, all the people that make that kind of music and all the people that buy it. When you see the videos of some guy throwing 100 dollar bills over a naked woman lying on a bed with a dog leash around her neck... what is all that about?" Noel continued his steaming rant with the wild suggestion that today's hip-hoppers are all addicted to heroin: "The critical thing about these fookers is they go on about 'increase the peace' and getting kids to stay in school, but they're all raving crack heads. It's a fake form of music to me, and they're all a bunch of idiots anyway." Telling it like it is. Like a rock n roll star. Have a listen on his phone interview with an Australian radio station about the new indie bands of today - 1 2 3.

The finale of moneymoneymoneymoney sees the two women, Kendra & Tana, battling it out to convince Trump into deciding who should be the first lady winner. They could have cut short the summary clips as it took longer than usual and that amount of time would be better off having business people from the audience have their say on who should win the job interview. Also, too much attention were given to the 6 recalled people to help out in the final task. There are no views given from the rest of the gang. Tana was praised by George on the huge amount of raw enthusiam she had when being given the role of project leader. But her low point was that she referred to the recalled assistants as "three stooges"(lol!!). The board all agreed that Kendra did not show up until the last few weeks where she totally impressed everyone with her determination and never say die spirit. One highlight was how she stayed awake to complete the Pontiac Brochure task. But Tana suddenly 'hulked' up when she pointed out that the executives were impressed by the design which was her idea. Even to the point of clapping to congratulate herself.. Chris, the tobacco chewing addict, who was in Tana's group, told everyone that even though he did not work with Kendra, he got together with Kendra after the final task to discuss about an upcoming site building plan. The audience thought he and Kendra chewed tobacco together but he said 'no no no!'...insisting it was a business meeting. After a small section about the current big projects the previous two winners are engaging at the moment blah blah, Trumpy said "It's time". He commended Tana on having a positively aggressive business attitude but the way she treated her associates did not go down well with him. Kendra on the other hand, was anonymous to the point that no one knew who she was in the earlier weeks; but the way she showed her skills and leadership impressed him a lot. And the fact that she got along very well with her associates who might be difficult to handle was a big plus point. "And for that, Kendra, You're Hired!" *moneymoneymoneymoney music jingle*

In celebration of Beastie Boys' 24th birthday, Capitol Records has decided to pay tribute with the release of Solid Gold Hits. Whether you listen to this new best-of to relive your own favorite Beastie Boys memories or to share their interplanetary skills with a loved one for the first time, the audio and visual Solid Gold Hits experience is guaranteed to put the spice in your fruitcake this holiday season. Watch the video for "Brass Monkey", shot live at Madison Square Garden, and let the memories begin. Woo hoo...braaaasss monkey! brass monkey monkey!

Some good live performance from Gorillaz & Robbie Williams in this year's MTV Europe Music Awards.

Arctic Monkeys have tentatively announced the release date of their next single. 'Sun Goes Down' is the follow up to their smash hit debut 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor' and will hit the shelves on Jan 16. Reports claim that their as-yet-untitled debut album will follow a few weeks later on February 6 although this hasn't been officially confirmed by the band. It remains to be seen whether the Sheffield foursome maintain their grip on the British charts. Who cares about the charts? They will continue to make people dance to electro pop...

Sarah Harding collapsed after a performance on CD:UK yesterday. The Girls Aloud singer was rushed to a doctor following the incident, which happened shortly after the group performed their new single, Biology. "It was terrifying. Sarah collapsed and everyone gasped with shock," said an onlooker. Harding visited a specialist for tests and was diagnosed with a kidney infection. But despite her dramatic episode, the blonde singer did not require hospital treatment. A spokesperson for the band confirmed, "Sarah is very ill. She's been told to take time off." Poor thing. Should be okay after some well needed rest.

Simon Cowell claimed that he has found the next 'American Idol' - and she's Irish. The judge said only one person stands out from all the hopefuls he has listened to for the new series of the reality talent show. He said: "The only person I can genuinely remember from the auditions that I've done for this season is an Irish girl that we saw in Las Vegas who now lives in America. I think she sang a Chaka Khan song and afterwards I said, 'I think we may have found someone as good as Kelly Clarkson.'" Cowell said he has forgotten the contestant's name. He added: "I think probably the girls are going to be much stronger than the guys this year." Filming for the next series begins in February.

The White Stripes concert was recorded during their stint at Masonic Temple in the duo's hometown of Detroit, Michigan. They played an unknown song during a live performance. Reminds me of the 'De Stijl' days. Ace.

Ever wondered how great it would be if The Strokes had Jack White with them during their gigs? Well, then check out NYC Cops, where Jack made a special appearance and joined the Soma gang. Notice how Nick, at about 3:48 in the video, have the cutest smile like a mischievous kid after an attempt to smooch Meg, and then he hugs Jack, and then he goes to Julian, like he says "Julian, julian I just hugged Jack! I'm so excited!" They should do more of this. Maybe have Meg join in as well, with the cymbals/marimbas.
