Cloudburst

Oh dear! Keira Knightly is behaving in a rather desperate manner all in a bid to win back her ex-boyfriend Jamie Dornan. This beauty allegedly wants to convince the former model to give their relationship another chance after they split earlier this year - despite reports claiming it was actually Dornan doing the wooing. Knightly has reportedly been sending flowers and food to his London home while trying to convince him to give their relationship another go. What in the world was she thinking? A close pal revealed: "She brings flowers and food round to his bachelor flat and tries to give it a woman's touch. At the moment, he's spending all his time in the studio working on his album, and he simply doesn't have time for Keira." He really isn't worth it..

Jennifer Aniston has vowed to re-marry and have children in five years. The actress, who got divorced in October, admits she is still desperate to start a family and has vowed to fulfil her dream in the next few years. She said: "In five years, I would hope to be married and have a kid. I still believe in marriage 100 per cent." Good for her. Would Vince Vaughn be that lucky dude? The unconfirmed couple can deny a lot of things, but pictures of them on balconies, beaches and in the alley behind restaurants enjoying a cigarette break and a warm embrace suggest otherwise.

Alan McGee says that the debut album from Carl Barat's new band Dirty Pretty Things "is turning into a classic". McGee said: "I just spent yesterday in the studio with the band and producer Dave Sardy ... who did Oasis and Jet." He added: "And I've got to say that the sessions are going incredibly well. 'Bang Bang' is a massive hit. And so is 'Deadwood'. The album is turning into a classic already. Dirty Pretty Things and Dave Sardy are super pleased with how the sessions are going." Is D.P.T gonna be as good as the Killamangiro's clan?? They can try of course, and with Barat around it should have some quality.

Eminem's new video parodies the recent stint the rapper spent in rehab for addiction to sleeping medication. The video for "When I'm Gone" was directed in Detroit by Anthony Mandler last week and depicts Eminem in a scene resembling a Narcotics Anonymous meeting. The scene is set in a gym where adults are sitting on folded chairs around a podium. The song is lifted from his forthcoming greatest hits album Curtain Call released on Dec 2nd.

BAD NEWS! The Stands have split after front man and main creative force Howie Pain decided to quit the band. Posting on the bands official website Pain revealed the news but assured fans that he plans to move on to new projects and will continue to make music. He wrote: "I thought I should be the one to break the news that after much thought I have decided to no longer continue with the stands. It has been a wonderful few years or so but over the last months my heart has been slowly being drawn towards the idea of change and musical pastures new." "There has been many changes leading to many reasons, recent times have been both creative and difficult in equal measure, I guess in order to seek clarity I want to now take the time to take some time to get some fresh air and move onto something new."
He went on to thank the bands fans saying: "We all thank each and every one of you all for all your support, taking the time to listen to our records and coming to see us play, it's been a pleasure, thank you so much to you all. Howie." Sad. They are a good underrated band with some incredible tunes reminiscant of the 70s hippy/psychedelic stuff. Hope to hear from him again in the future.

GOOD NEWS! Travis have recorded 20 songs for their follow-up album to '12 Memories'. Producer Nigel Godrich is again working with the band at the Hospital recording studio, bass player Dougie Payne told fans on their official website. Payne said: "We're working in a place called The Hospital. The studio is in a building that houses a members club, two restaurants a TV studio and most dangerously of all a martini bar. "Thankfully the studio part is on the top floor, nicely separated from all the temptations. We've got about 20 songs recorded. This includes stuff we did in Westside earlier in the year and one tune goes back to the sessions we did with Eno last December.
"We've got two weeks in here this time around and reckon most of the time will be spent finishing off those things that need more work but we decided to start off the session with trying a new song. This is one written by our friend Suzie Hugg. We've recorded a couple of her songs before (Reason and Unbelievers were both B-sides a few of years ago). She is a great writer." Yeaaaaaaaaaaa Woooo Hoooo!!!!!! Keane, Snow Patrol and the overrated Coldplay are never in the class of the mighty Travis. I'm so happy...coz you're so happy...

Just read a very long detailed article on The Strokes.
Some interesting points highlighted :
- "Razorblade" is "one of my least favourites, but yeah, what can you do, I guess I sorta knew [Mandy]," he shrugs...
- Room On Fire was the point where the emperor's new clothes were revealed. The Strokes were another faddish rock band whose time had been and gone, just as it was for the bands who came in their wake, The Hives ("The Swedish Strokes") and The Vines ("The Australian Strokes")...
- Declined to say what the suggestive "Juicebox" is really about ("it's a metaphor for bloodsucking," he lies)...
- There's an awful lot to take in over First Impressions Of Earth's 14 tracks. It's bigger: instead of Blondie-meets-Sex-Pistols spiky pop there are elaborate songs featuring mellotron, prog-rock guitar solos and club-friendly rhythms..

Juicebox the single is released on December 12 with B-sides:
1. Juicebox
2. Hawaii
3. Juicebox (Live In Rio De Janeiro, Brazil)
4. Juicebox (Director's Cut)

Robbie Williams' search for the perfect woman seems to have taken a swerve in the direction of Cheeky Girl Gabrielle Irimia. (!!!!!!!!! * 10,000) He interrupted a TOTP performance to announce that he was a "cheeky boy" after seeing Gabrielle and sister Monica perform. When he bumped into Gabrielle at an ITV1 party last month, sparks flew and numbers were exchanged. A source revealed: "Robbie kept telling Gaby that she's sexy and beautiful. Then he asked how she kept her figure and she explained she had a gym and a swimming pool at her pad in Regent's Park. She invited him to come for a workout with her, so Robbie asked Gabrielle for her address. Gabrielle has vowed not to date anyone until she has seen Robbie. She is really smitten and would love to see what could happen between them. She remembers having a Take That poster book back in Transylvania.
"It's incredibly exciting that she's even met him, and now he's asked her out." Gaby must be have felt 'something beautiful' about Robb that she is even willing to break the cheeky vow. As long as there are no future disco/techno remix collaboration tracks, which would sound horribly bad, then it should be alright for me.

The best comedian on the planet - Homer Simpson - could soon be driving you round the bend as one of the new voices for a Satellite Navigation system, which directs drivers to their destinations. The yellow anti-hero will groan a commiserative "D'oh" when drivers make a wrong turning while Bart Simpson will instruct stressed motorists: "Don't have a cow, man!" The animated duo will be joined on the high-tech navigation tool by a host of other celebrities including The A-Team's B.A Baracus, and even the British royals.
A spokesperson said, "Having your favourite star give you directions will certainly make long journeys more interesting. And if it proves to be a success there's a huge list of big names who could be signed up.
"Even if you're a fan of the posh voices you get on regular devices, ours could still be for you because the Queen (Elizabeth II) would come to your assistance." The technology is expected to be launched next year. This is quite an innovative idea. In the future, the words 'Darn', 'Damn', 'Shite' might not be said or heard again...

A computer disc about the size of a DVD that can hold 60 times more data is set to go on sale in 2006. The disc stores information through the interference of light - a technique known as holographic memory. The discs, developed by InPhase Technologies, based in Colorado, US, hold 300 gigabytes of data and can be used to read and write data 10 times faster than a normal DVD. The company, along with Japanese partner Hitachi Maxell announced earlier in November that they would start selling the discs and compatible drives from the end of 2006.
"Unlike other technologies, that record one data bit at a time, holography allows a million bits of data to be written and read in parallel with a single flash of light," says Liz Murphy. "This enables transfer rates significantly higher than current optical storage devices."
Although holographic memory was first suggested in 1963, it has failed to find commercial success so far. However, the holographic memory could challenge formats such as Blu-ray and HD-DVD. As well as offering greater storage, the main benefit is speed of data access. The discs developed so far by InPhase can already stream a movie recorded in high definition television (HDTV) format. However, the technology must also stand up to everyday use. "It is an open race right now. But you have to convince the customer that it is going to be reliable."
