Beautiful Pain

After three years from their last studio album release, Silverchair is headed back into the studio. The band broke through in 1995 with their debut album Frogstamp. Having received much success and critical acclaim, its full potential will never be known as the band was never able to tour behind this album due to lead singer Daniel John's illness which left him unable to lift a guitar. But now, John is recovered enough for the boys to head out on the road early next year to test some of their new material. The group reunited for a tsunami benefit concert in Sydney and then they began to discuss the possibility of recording together again. They are getting ready to head back to the studio in May. An okay band. But they need to come out with something special to steal the headlines from fellow aussie rockers, The Vines & Jet, who will release their new albums next year.

Interpol - Remix [EP] (Nov 22nd 2005)
In some of the most austere yet deluxe packaging known to man, or at least the history of the record industry, Interpol's collection of 4 remixes from Antics, one by each member of the band, makes its debut as an EP under the title Interpol Remix. These 4 remixes were previously available on the bonus disc to Antics: The Special Edition, and were also spread across the B-sides of various import singles.

Richard Ashcroft has announced a series of gigs taking place next year. Ashcroft will release his third solo album on Jan 23rd, titled 'Keys To The World'. *that symphony song starts ringing again*

Pete Doherty has reportedly been busy working on solo material. Apparently the Babyshambles frontman has been tucked away in a 'secret' West Country studio laying down some tracks. It's claimed that he's had no contact at all with his band members - Adam Ficeck, Drew McConnell and Patrick Walden - while at the studio. Pete has allegedly used the time since the Babyshambles tour ended last month to record the material. I don't think that is true. He has now checked himself into rehab in Arizona to finally beat the crack-cocaine addiction that is blighting his life.

What is Kate Moss doing in the photo studio?? Too ecstatic about Pete finally going to rehab maybe.

Another Kate...Kate Hudson - is now considering giving up acting for good. Hudson, who has a two year old son, Ryder with Black Crowes guitarist Chris Robinson is ready to quit Hollywood for good. She said: "Every day I tell my husband, 'Maybe we should cash in. I'll make handmade lotions and you can write music and sell it on the internet.'" Nooooooooooooo....!! *echo sounds* ....What's the deal with hand lotion?

Is Chris Raab from MTV the latest boyfriend of Ashlee Simpson? They are desperately trying to keep their relationship a secret. Ashlee recently announced she was looking for a normal boyfriend(the last one isn't...) after things went so wrong with celebrity men Wilmer Valderrama and Ryan Cabrera. According to some mag, Ashlee has been trying to keep the romance a secret from her manager/father Joe Simpson who would 'hit the roof' if he found out about it. Raab is also a client of Joe's and is unaware that the couple have been dating for a month. A source revealed: "Her dad would hit the roof if he found out. He wouldn't want her getting serious with a guy when her career is taking off." Well...Ashlee seems to have a penchant for her dad's clients as Cabrera was also on his books. This Chris is the nephew of that cool dude, Matt Damon.

A mega unsurprising news!! Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey called it quits after months of persistent break-up rumours. "After three years of marriage, and careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways," they said in a joint statement released by their publicists. "This is the mutual decision of two people with an enormous amount of respect and admiration for each other." The couple married in Oct 02, back when they were known simply as pop singers. Their famous reality show, Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica, which chronicled their daily lives in a new California home, turned them into stars. It ran for three seasons, in which memorable scenes include the time she confused the tuna she was eating for chicken, or when she eschewed Buffalo wings because "I don't eat buffalo". The news came just days after rumours started circulating about Jessica's possible pregnancy. But it seems that increasingly long periods apart and months of speculation surrounding their fidelity to one another finally signalled the death toll of Nick and Jessica. This a good chance for producers to coax a freshly married couple to sign up for - Newlyweds: Xtina & Bratman.

Here are some Xtina's wedding ceremony pics : 1 2 3 4 5

Another happy couple - Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend - are planning to wed the day it becomes legal for gays and lesbians to wed across America. The longtime couple are tired of being asked about their marriage plans so they've come up with a novel line to keep the press happy. Theron told a news show: "We came up with a new idea that we said that we would get married the day that gays and lesbians can get married - when that right is given to them. We've decided that we're gonna use that in a positive way, so the day that law gets passed then we'll get married." This only shows how serious they are being with each other. That's cool.

From the UK, the currently famous Brit couple - Cheryl Tweedy and Ashley Cole - are planning on getting married in July. They will marry at Highclere Castle, the recent venue for Jordan and Peter Andre's(aka the b-o-r-i-n-g pair) tasteful wedding celebrations. It has been scheduled on that particular month because they will wait for Cole to compete his responsibilities for the England team at next years World Cup before tying the knot. A source said: "Cheryl has always dreamed of walking down the aisle in beautiful Highclere Castle but after Jordan's wedding she was having second thoughts. She didn't want her special day to be a big tacky affair like that, but when she saw how tastefully it could be done she followed her heart and went with her first choice." Nah. Self-declared 'chav' Cheryl or anyone for that matter couldn't be as tacky as that J person.

Ryan Adams is a chess fanatic, and he insists The Strokes are just as obsessed with the intellectual game as he is. Unlike many rock stars, who relax by hurling televisions out of hotel windows, these guys would rather pit their wits against each other over a chess board. He explains, "Chess has become a pretty rockin' deal for The Cardinals (Adams' backing band), and I think Nikolai is pretty damn good. I actually asked him for some tips the other day." Nikolai the indie chess master?

Fabrizio Moretti says Australia is a top priority for the band when the group tours their third album next year. "We're going to come back very soon and play the whole show to as many people as we possibly can," said Moretti, in Australia for a brief promotional visit this week. Fab and Drew Barrymore both loved visiting Australia. "I love the Australian fans," he said. "I feel like if I stay too long then I'll stay for ever." Hmmm...

The Strokes have just come offstage in Sydney, playing an intimate show to just 800 fans and industry guests at the city's Gaelic Club. Hundreds of fans - including Noel Gallagher - crowded into the small venue to watch the band play a one-off show in support of their upcoming third album, 'First Impressions Of Earth'. Despite signs outside stores selling the exclusive tickets saying that the band would play only new songs, the 17-song set featured tracks including 'New York City Cops' and 'Reptilia'. During the hour-long show, Jules kept repeating that he was "fucking blind", at one stage pouring a drink over his head and doing push-ups. But he praised locals who'd lined up for tickets, saying; "God bless you. Australians are really good people. I mean that!" Fans who attended the gig had nothing but praise for the new tracks showcased during the set. "They're really great live," Maria, 18, said. "All the leaked tracks sound even better. '15 Minutes' sounds really sloppy (on record), but it's almost like it was meant to be heard live. It sounds really fresh."

Looks like 50 Cent could be banned from performing in Canada next month, if a crusading gun-crime politician has his way. Curtis Jackson faces opposition for allegedly promoting gun violence, in his rap lyrics and with new film Get Rich Or Die Tryin'. MP Dan McTeague fears that his upcoming tour, which kicks off in Vancouver on Dec 3, will incite gangland brawls and potentially escalate the recent wave of fatal shootings in the country. He is lobbying for the rapper, whose criminal record forces him to obtain official permission before entering Canada, to be refused entry. His last concert in the city in 2003 was marred by a fatal shooting outside the theatre, while his gig in Montreal prompted brawls. It's best that he avoid that place for now.

Paris Hilton has the skill to strike the same pose in different timelines.

Some pics of the new Twin VJs - May & Choy. They will host "Double Trouble", an upcoming MTV show. The girls are actually pretty nice in person..only really slutty on screen. *heh* They possess the cool ability having guys literally eating out of their palms. Even for someone like Simon Webbe (that guy from Blue).. Well, that's what the girls did the other time they interviewed him. Poor dude couldn't believe his luck.
