Dirty Harry

Demi Moore has rubbished suggestions she is pregnant with Ashton Kutcher's child, although she admits the couple will probably start trying soon. Moore, who married Kutcher in Sept, already has three daughters with ex-husband Bruce Willis. And she seemed enthusiastic about starting a family with Kutcher. She said, "As we grow as a couple and a family, of course we've considered having more children. We love kids, so time will tell. I love being a mom. My family is the joy of my life. Everything else is a bonus." Demi has also taken up singing for her new movie. The sexy actress has reportedly been spending time in a recording studio to prepare for her role as Virginia Fallon in "Bobby," the story of the assassination of Senator Robert F. Kennedy. This stunning aunt is recording "Louie Louie" and sources say she's a talented songstress. A source is quoted as saying: "She's actually pretty good. Her voice is not bad." No one would be surprised about it; she is the undisputed GI Jane after all.

So... Ms Cheryl Tweedy is having some difficulties picking a bridesmade, eh? It seems that every girl in the UK is just desperate to be her bridesmaid...well not quite, but she does have lots of female friends and is scared of offending them by not picking them for the big day. Tweedy said: "I've got family who will never talk to me again if they're not bridesmaids. And my bandmates would probably not forgive me if they don't get to follow me up the aisle, too. I can't have 10 bridesmaids, but I don't want to let anyone down. It's doing my head in, to be honest." It would take some kind of miracle to make that final decision, but there's still time till the 'long hot summer' where that left-back is gonna be one lucky boy. Wonder if Ashley Cole have the same problems too? For Cole-y, it would be a simple solution. Those who can get past him towards goal on a training pitch without getting any studs marking imprint on the leg will be the chosen best man.. [ Ashley & Cheryl on a night out - 1 2 3 4 5 ]

Straight from the set of Richard Linklater's new film, currently shooting in Austin, comes word that Canadian pop singer Avril Lavigne is one of the stars. She joins Oscar nominee Catalina Sandino Moreno ("Maria Full of Grace"), Greg Kinnear, Ethan Hawke, Kris Kristofferson and Patricia Arquette. The movie, an adaptation of Eric Schlosser's acclaimed non-fiction book "Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American Meal," is an ensemble piece that "follows a number of different characters and their interlinked story lines, set in and around the town of Cody, Colo." I think Avril would do alright on the big screen.

Some great group pics of The Strokes taken by Brazilian fans.

Starsailor will release "This Time" on January 23rd on CD, DVD, and 7inch. The single will come backed with "Push The Button(Sugababes Cover)," "Believe Me," "This Time(Live Nottingham)" and a video of "This Time." Supergrass will release a new single "Fin" on January 2nd. The single will be out on 7inch and a download. The 7" features a live version of the single, the download features a remix. Why the $*"&%!*$^&(# hell must James Walsh cover that girly song?? Trying to out-do III Quid's coke antics?

At Petra Nemcova's Light of Hope charity gala on Cipriani Wall Street, Jack White adoringly watched his very pregnant wife, model Karen Elson, belt out Bette Midler tunes onstage. She must be one classy lady. Would be great if Karen could try out 'In the cold, cold night'.

Down in Australia, Nicole Kidman's sister, Antonia, fueled talk that the Oscar winner is betrothed to country star Keith Urban. Nicole's publicist Catherine Olim, blasted the gossip saying Nic is "100% not pregnant". When asked to comment on speculation the actress is set to tie the knot with hunky Urban, she said: "I have nothing to say about that." Some reports cited her situation: "She's very happy. But she's determined that her new relationship won't descend into a media circus similar to her marriage to Tom Cruise." If she is pregnant, Kidman could be having her first biological child around the same time that her ex-husband's fiancee, Katie Holmes, gives birth to her first child. Great timing indeed.

Russell Crowe has revealed that his friend Nicole Kidman is smitten with her new fiancee Keith Urban. Crowe said: "I've spoken to Nicole a couple of times recently and it was clear she's enjoying great happiness right now. Hanging out with Keith is giving her a lot of joy and I'm happy for her." However, Crowe is concerned that the speculation and media attention surrounding Kidman's relationship may bring it to an abrupt end like his relationship with Meg Ryan. He continued: "A relationship under that microscope doesn't get the chance to evolve. It happened to me some years back. My summer was ruined as we were never left alone." Crowe is currently expecting his second child with his rock chick wife Danielle Spencer. Well, it all comes with the package of being a superstar.

Maximo Park claim that they're musically similar to the Arctic Monkeys. Sadly, rather than launch into a tirade against the Sheffield lads, bohemian Maximo Park frontman Paul Smith, instead drew parallels. He said: "I think we offer something very similar to the Arctic Monkeys musically. It's music with a regional identity; young people making energetic music - we tick those boxes too. We've been working hard for three years and we've knocked a lot of fears out of our system!" The two bands are set to hit the road together next month along with Mystery Jets and We Are Scientists. Maximo, as good as they are, ain't in the same class as the Monkeys. They lacked a certain romance with the audience that can be felt when those scummy men are in operation.

A great interview with Arctic Monkeys; where they spoke about Dr Dre, rejecting photo shoot deals, what Noel G thinks of them and about their debut album.

I can imagine mixing the guitars from 'Bang Bang You're Dead' and singing to Digsy's Dinner...ah hah! No wonder it sounds so damn familiar. The happy vibes that both generate are quite on par.

Lindsay Lohan is set to replace Kate Moss as the face of Chanel. That is one heck of mega deal Lohan is gonna sign. Both seem like an odd pairing but it seems that they have become good friends. They were spotted recently leaving Mr Chows in Beverley Hills after lunching together and are planning on spending a spa weekend break together. Moss has been hiding out in the US ever since the Brit papers exposed her 'coke' pictures. She was since dropped as the face of the fashion house. Lohan met up with Chanel designer Karl Lagerfield earlier this month and was overwhelmed by the experience. She said: "I'm shooting with Karl Lagerfeld! It's amazing. I'm so excited. I think it's for a magazine." Karl must have noticed the value of Lohan given her current teen pop icon status coupled with controversies along the way. Passing the baton from Kate-y may be a very strategic move on Chanel's part. Lohan gushed over Moss saying: "Kate Moss is my fashion icon. She looks great. She wears things that could take someone hours to put together but she doesn't take that much time." Maybe Kate is giving Lindsay some much needed fashion tips and hopefully some ideas on how NOT to be a drama queen...

A reconciliation coming up for Paris & Nicole?? Paris Hilton has offered her sympathy to her estranged friend and co-star Nicole Richie, after she broke up with her fiance Adam Goldstein. Hilton was shocked when she heard the news last week , and understands the pain Richie is going through after recently calling off her own engagement to Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis. And Hilton now wants to repair her rift with her former best pal Richie. She said, "I am really sorry to hear about Nic's engagement. I went through the same thing. With Christmas coming up, I realise I really miss her and want to get in touch again." With the fun they've had on the TV series, it would be great to see the childhood buddies on good terms again.

Xmas wishes from Will Young, Coleen Mcloughlin & Rachel Stevens.

A UK company has brought to life the self-destructing messages of 'Mission Impossible'. Staellium UK Ltd. has introduced StealthText, a service available via SMS and WAP phones, which enables senders to punch in a self-destruct code when they send text messages. The recipient receives a text message showing the sender's name and providing a link to the message. Once opened, the message disappears after about 40 seconds. Staellium's founders originally conceived of the service as catering to the needs of business executives dealing with sensitive information, as well as those of celebrities who are up to no good. In keeping with its original intent, the company has received inquiries from a diverse range of financial services firms and celebrity agents. It has also attracted interest from defense and intelligence agencies, including the United Kingdom's Ministry of Defense. "The technology behind StealthText is derived from military technology, so the comparisons with 'Mission Impossible' are justified," Carole Barnum, CEO and co-founder of the company, quoted as saying.

Self-destructing text messages are just a start, however - the company plans to tackle self-destruction in other venues as well, starting in the spring. "The ability to send a self-destruct message has massive benefits for people from all walks of life, from everyday mobile users, through to celebrities and business people, but this is just the start," Barnum said. "In spring 2006 we will be launching new services such as self-destruct e-mail, voice and picture messages, so ultimately no one will ever have to worry about their messages or pictures ending up in the wrong hands ever again." Both Staellium and the European Union's lawmakers are aware that the service can be used for illicit purposes. To comply with data retention laws, the service retains a paper trail and log that remains on a protected, secure server for between six months and two years before being deleted. Currently, the service is available only to UK users, but Staellium plans to roll it out across Europe, in the US and Asia next year. The (upside/downside) to this would be for those involved in hanky-panky or racy lacey matters...
