Autumn Shade

50 Cent will follow up his autobiography with a new project - writing books for children. Fiddy wants to use his past experience of living in the hood to teach children lessons about life. Days after Noel G complained about the little ones taking over parents' lives, 50 now wants to be a role model? Maybe he has been listening to Aunt Madon's dancefloor records and got an inspiration from her contribution in writing a children's book. He says: "The stories will have a positive message, something that kids can learn from." Well, I reckon the book has to go through several rounds of approval from the Children Associations before it can be placed in the 'Kids' section.

Ronan Keating is working on developing an acting career for himself. "I was all set to start a film with Vinnie Jones and Anna Friel, but it's been put back now, so I took the opportunity to learn how to act and I'm loving it," Keating explained. "I hope you can see all the work up there on screen very soon." Working on a new album and being in a movie. No wonder he doesn't want to be part of the Boyzone reunion.

Scarlett Johansson and Richard Archer living for the weekends? There were some whispers about the actress and Hard-Fi frontman being romantically linked while filming in the UK. Despite publicly stepping out with Josh Harnett in the past few months, Johansson has been in close contact with the cult musician. The pair met in December (05) when Archer sent Johansson a personal invite to a London gig - knowing she was in the British capital filming 'Scoop'. Since her return to America, the couple have enjoyed lengthy phone calls and are already planning to meet up again when Hard-Fi play in Los Angeles. The band's spokesperson confirms, "Let's just say that Richard and Scarlett are very close at the moment. He has always fancied her and asked one of his managers to invite her to a gig. He knew she was in London so he thought, why not? The band are now touring Los Angeles. I am sure Richard will meet Scarlett there if there's time." Stars of CCTV eh?

Kate Moss is planning to move to the US permanently. She has enrolled her daughter into a Los Angeles nursery [ 1 2 ] and told friends that she wants to buy a home in Malibu. A pal said, "Kate is determined to make the move. She told me, 'I want a lifestyle where I'm not the only focus of attention, as I seem to be in England.'" Moss has asked her British nanny to stay on in Los Angeles with her and continue caring for three-year-old Lila Grace. Following the Robbie Williams route is the way to go.

Arctic Monkeys vs The Killers - Scumbody Told Me (VERY NICE)

Arctic Monkeys in Glasgow gig review.
"Unlike virtually all of the postpunk bands that have transfixed Britain over the last few years, from the Strokes to the Libertines to Franz Ferdinand to the White Stripes, the Arctic Monkeys don't obsess over rock 'n' roll history, and they aren't nostalgic for an earlier musical era. They have borrowed from all those bands, but they have also done what era-defining bands are supposed to do: they have made all their predecessors seem - and sound - old."

Mexican Policeman Attacked By A Flying Humanoid Entity article. And there are no medical signs that he is insane or lying. Spooky.

22-20s have called it a day. The split was said to be amicable and mutual. Martin Trimble of the band is said to be working on new material. Not really into them but it's a shame that another decent band is gone while some rubbish called ClickFive is dominating the charts. Not good.

Fellow Sheffield lad Jarvis Cocker has heaped praise on the Arctic Monkeys. The 'Different Class' Pulp frontman loves the way the Monkeys have achieved phenomenal success without trying and believes the foursome have got what it takes to rise above the hype. In fact he sees Arctic Monkeys' success as a triumph over the pop industry that pumps millions into their acts to make them big. Cocker explains: "I think it's very important because they've done it without trying. The only reason people have got into it (the music) is because they've listened to it and they like it, so it's something real. I guess all the music industry will probably think 'how can we emulate that or what can we do?'
"I think there's nothing they can do about it because it's something that has happened naturally, there's no way to apply spin doctorism to it." Yeah. He's right. Just don't tell these boys to adopt his 'Dancing Shoes' stage attires from the 80s. That will make them look worse than Mardy Bums.

Franz Ferdinand: What's Wrong with a Little Destruction? interview article.

Relight my fire in Las Vegas? Take That have decided to base their reunion tour on a Las Vegas stage extravaganza. The boys visited the city for five days earlier this month in an effort to bond as a group before they perform together again. A source revealed: "They flew to Vegas as a unifying exercise as well as to get ideas for their Ultimate Tour. It's going to have a really glitzy, bright lights big city feel to it and they wanted to soak up the feel of a real Vegas extravaganza. Don't forget it's been ten years since they last had to rely on each other in a performance environment and that takes a lot of trust. The trip out there was about getting to know each other again as much as anything else." Not good if they ever met up with Mr Brightside ala B.Flowers. Don't want to see them getting all big-headed and start wanting to save the world, etc..

AT&T Commercial playing Oasis track 'All Around The World'! Its a mega commercial. I like it a lot, even if Oasis wasn't in it. Gets the point across nicely...

Oasis Stockholm gig review
-----------------------------------------------------
Translation from City Stockholm newspaper 2006.01.27:

Quote:
Oasis - an arrogant power of nature
... and the GA-audience gives back love to the band
Liam shakes a tambourine. Liam saunters back and forth with a monkeywalk, directly inherited from Ian Brown from Stone Roses (perfect).
Liam dedicates "Lyla" to the Soundtrack of Our Lives.

Nothing new under the sun
Nothing is really new under the sun in Oasis-land. Everybody knows that their rock-ideological manifestation was carved in stone sometime 1994. Liam's voice is stil unbelievably powerful, just as unstoppable as compulsively arrogant power of nature. Even if the bigger part of the well-dressed beerintoxicated audience wanted to experience the memories of their first, or in some cases last, real euphoric rock'n'roll momentit wasn't difficult to fall.
At least sometimes. In spite of the latest records, in spite of some of some rays of lightand constang nagging of "finding the magic again" almost totally given in to squalid grinding stoner rock. Cause when the band pounds with "Cigarettes and alcohol" (... has never been more obvious) or the epical exchanging singing is still rightly bloody brilliant.

A nice nice treatment
Even one of the worlds most hackneyed songs, "Wonderwall", gets a very nice treatment.
A lot can be credited to the ga-audience's intensive love, it never ended.

phat:
Liam Gallagher's hard-core consequence. He not only believes, but knows that he is the best rocksinger in the world. Sometimes you agree.

dope:
Noel Gallagher's Velvet Unerground-travesty "Mucky fingers" which really was nothing else but just that.

under photo (by Lars-Erik Orthlund):
Liam Gallagher has a hard-core consequence and he knows he is the best rocksinger in the world. He is in good shape and grumbles lovingly with the audience.

Richard Ashcroft fooked "The Drugs Don't Work" up for the second time.

This is a good pic.

His new album - Keys To The World, is class. Something that I would have wanted to hear on Starsailor's third album On The Outside which is a little let down i feel. On first listen, 80% of KTTW impressed. This guy is certainly not past his prime that's for sure. Always good to stay away Jules & Turner's vocals once in a while after some dozen CD repetitions...

Lindsay Lohan might want to keep a closer eye on her belongings. After losing 400,000 pounds worth of diamonds in a cab last week, Lohan now lost her diary on a boozy night out. It was recovered, but some pages with details about her love life and family had been ripped out. Some wide-eyed people must be reading with joy about the confessions of this teenage drama queen.

Elizabeth Hurley has sparked reports she is pregnant with her second child after she was spotted leaving an antenatal clinic. She was seen leaving the clinic in London's prestigious Harley Street. When asked if she was expecting, Hurley's agents replied, "No comment." Hurley is already mother to son Damian Charles, whose dad is Hollywood producer Steve Bing. Hmmm, something fishy going on there.
