Lily Allen has dismissed reports she has had her US working visa revoked. The singer was detained by customs and immigration officials in Los Angeles on Sunday (Aug 5th), as she flew in from Australia for the Mtv VMA nominations party in Las Vegas. Officials were reportedly interested in Allen's March arrest in London following an alleged altercation with a photographer. She was cautioned for the incident after voluntarily attending a police station in June. However, Allen was permitted entry to the US - and made an appearance on Mtv show Trl on Tuesday. Her manager Neale Easterby also confirms Allen's gigs in America will go ahead as planned.






Pete Doherty has been warned that he still could face jail if he does not complete his current detox programme. The junkie recently appeared at West London Magistrates Court. At last month's hearing, Pete was threatened with jail unless he entered a rehab programme to tackle his drug addiction and consequently he had an anti-opiates implant fitted in his stomach at the end of July. His lawyer Sean Curran insisted that the singer was attending a treatment programme and he "presents himself certainly looking a lot better". District Judge Davinder Lachlar then said: "I will adjourn this matter for four weeks to assess his motivation. What I have in mind is a community order or prison... if he does not show his motivation, it's prison - it's as simple as that." Can he adhere to the regime?

Lindsay Lohan checked into a Utah rehab facility on Sunday. The troubled star is staying at the Cirque Lodge drug and alcohol rehab facility in Sundance. Staff have confirmed that Lindsay is to undergo an intense rehabilitation program which is expected to last a minimum of 30 days. Since her arrest on July 24, Lindsay has been in hiding in L.A, at the home of family friend Gina Glickman. Last Friday, she flew to New York to spend the weekend with her family before traveling to Utah to begin her treatment. Her rep said: "It would be counterproductive to the medical treatment she is receiving to release Lindsay's whereabouts at this time." A full recovery this time round?








Kate Middleton has been forced to pull out of a charity boat race due to security concerns. The qualified sailor was among the 21-member all-female crew of The Sisterhood, who will race across the English Channel to France later this month. But a spokeswoman said: "Kate Middleton has withdrawn from the race due to security issues surrounding the recent media circus." Kate had been given one of the most demanding positions in the Chinese dragon boat - as helmsman on the tiller - steering and instructing the crew. An insider said: "Kate's really miffed. She was our helmsman, very strong and very sporty. It's a huge loss." The race is scheduled for August 25 where the winning team will be the fastest to row the 21-miles to Cap Gris Nez. Such a shame she's not in it.

Nicole Richie claims that she's "playing by the rules" when it comes to pregnancy - even if it means putting on fifty pounds. The gaunty starlet claims that she eats every hour on the hour but has ruled out caffeine, sushi, drugs, and alcohol. "It's what my baby needs and to me, numbers don't mean anything. If I gain 40 pounds, if I gain 50 pounds, then that's obviously what my body needs to do. I'm constantly hungry. I'm eating at least every hour," she says. When asked whether she had an eating disorder, she said: "No, I do not have an eating disorder. I've never had an eating disorder, ever." Blame the genes?
