Carte Blanche

Kylie Minogue is reportedly set to quit pop as she wants to concentrate on her personal life. Friends claim Kylie is keen to rekindle her relationship with Olivier. There is a possibility of a farewell tour before she walks away from the music business. Kylie allegedly issued a 'marry me or leave me' ultimatum to Olivier last month. The pair rekindled their relationship in July after Kylie visited him several times at his Paris home. A source said: "Kylie has told him he must propose or it's over. She sees Olivier as the love of her life. They still have a massive connection." It will be sad indeed if she does say goodbye to the pop world.

Keira Knightley has launched an attack on the obsession with celebs and their apparently perfect looks. She told the Radio Times: "Somebody goes, 'Gosh, you're pretty.' Thanks. OK, I'm on the cover of a magazine but somebody else does the hair, and the make-up, and airbrushes the fuck out of me - it's not me, it's something other people have created." The actress also doesn't understand why anyone would want to be rich and famous. "It frightens me when kids go 'I want to be famous'," she said. "Why? Because you can get into a restaurant? You know what? If you book, you can get into a restaurant!" Woh there. Safe to say someone has reached the boiling point.

Never ever again? Lily Allen has insisted that she never wants to return to the United States. The singer was forced to cancel her US tour last week, after immigration officers decided that she would not be able to renew her working visa, due to her assault on a paparazzi photographer in London. At that point, Lily said in a statement: "I'm so disappointed. I want my fans to know that I'll be back as soon as I possibly can." However, she is now quoted as saying: "I'll never go back there. The immigration officers are a bunch of w**kers." Heh.

50 Cent dislikes P. Diddy and Jay-Z (most of us are!). The rapper has no desire to be friends with the two music moguls. When asked if he ever feels competitive towards their business ventures, he replied: "Nah. I don't even like them." The hip-hop star refused to retract his words when it was suggested they could be misconstrued, saying: "I don't give a f--k." 50 insisted he "respected" Diddy but won't be phoning him to ask for advice. He told hip-hop website SOHH.com: "In business, I respect what he does. But if we liked each other, we'd call each other to talk for no reason. And me and Puffy, we don't have conversations." Best if it stayed that way.

Natalie Portman and Hayden Christensen have been voted the worst screen couple of all-time in a new poll. Nat and Hayden were voted into the top spot for their lack of on-screen chemistry in 'Star Wars: Attack of the Clones'. In one of two top-ten entries, Ben Afflect takes second place for his romance with J.Lo in the 2003 flop Gigli, despite the pair being a real-life couple at the time.
