The paparazzi coy affected intended to press charges against her. And so, in response to reports of Avril's recent run in them, she replied: "I'd like to sincerely apologize for my behavior with the Paparazzi. It's trying at best dealing with their insistent intrusions. I meant no offense to my fans. My behavior was a reaction to the persistent attack..from the paparazzi." Apology accepted?

A new mix by Arthur Baker brings this 2003 delicious tunes of dark indie from the well dressed gang of new york. Nice twist at the start to get things going. I've been keeping an eye on Shiny Toy Guns [myspace] for a couple of months since 'Le Disko' came into the scene and now this is another absolute quality track by these new kids. Fast-paced adrenaline number to get you into a dancy mood.


Nicole Kidman recently visited Madame Tussauds to launch a breast cancer awareness campaign. Wearing a pink ribbon, she urged women to be more aware of the disease. Nicole is the face of Cancer Research UK's campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Her mother Janelle was diagnosed with breast cancer when Kidman was 17 and went on to beat the disease. "As someone whose family has personally been affected by the disease, I can't stress enough how important it is that women get to know and understand what is normal for their body," she said. More power to her.


While Harry Morton and Lindsay Lohan are taking a breather, there is another speculation about Wilmer coming back to her arms, probably for another short period of time.. Movie marketers were also forced to make Bond's trademark Aston Martin an automatic when it came out that he couldn't drive a stick. Now they're making Bond's transformation complete by reaching an endorsement deal with Heineken. Bond's low-carb vodka martinis are going to be supplemented with the everyman's drink, beer. Looks like Craig is behaving more like Homer Simpson.

T-Mobile is currently going through a major re-brand with plans to add on new internet phone services. But I can't understand their decision to drop Catherine Zeta Jones as their spokesperson. She has been the spokesperson since 2003 and her contract is worth millions of dollars. Cathy appears in TV and print ads for the company. According to the Wall Street Journal - "The company has decided to drop Ms. Zeta-Jones from its advertising in favor of a more man-on-street approach to marketing, people familiar with the matter say." Not sure what they mean by that but if you are daring enough to drop The Entrapment lady then it may have serious repercussions..

Do it for the kids 1! Belle & Sebastian, Snow Patrol and Franz Ferdinand have teamed up for The Colours Are Brighter, a new album of children's songs. The Scots bands, along with The Kooks, Divine Comedy and Four Tet, are just some of the acts who have contributed to the collection compiled by B & S bassist player Mick Cooke to raise funds for Save the Children. Alex Kapranos said : "We were very happy to record on this album because, like most people in bands, we tend to think like children anyway. I had a safe and happy childhood, but not everyone is that lucky. Save the Children is a charity that quietly works hard at making life better for children around the world." This week, Gina felt sad for Kari because she shouldn't be the next to go at the last judging time. Brooke then said she should do better. Next scene was Nnenna speaking to her bf on the phone. T.Mail -> "What's your favourite position?". Lisa D'Amato (from last season) & Janice D were at the studio to teach them all the different posing techniques. Brooke was a bit confused but it was alright compared to Gina who was asked by Janice to do a one leg jump and laugh at the same time. <- A punishment? During dinner, Janice joined them and called out Gina again to sit beside her on the same chair. Janice wants Gina to confess about which person gave her the most problems back in the house and of course Jade was the target. Lame. Janice said rule no.1: don't bitch about your fellow contestants. Gina then became depressed all the way in the car to bedtime.. Nnenna told her to look confident no matter what. After showers, Gina was shocked to see Jade waiting for her. But somehow she stood up against mighty Jade.. interesting. Next day, they were told to play out the four seasons with the clothes given specifically for each of them. Nnenna won(again) and she gets to keep all the clothes on set. Brooke was unhappy about her shoot. After that, they were interviewed by Tyra who asked them what are their future working plans. They were asked to play out their dream job for the next photo shoot. Plus, there are 5 male models for them to pick from for their partner. Furonda - human rights attorney, Jade - kindergarden teacher(!!!), Sara - prosecutor lawyer, Joenie - stay home mum, Mollie Sue - make-up artist, Gina - fashion designer, Leslie - justice investigator, Danielle - singer, Brooke - nurse and Nnenna - drug researcher. Almost all did alright - Jade's skirt was too short to be a teacher!, Leslie had a dominatrix look?? and Nnenna was getting a lil too comfy with her male partner... Next day was judging time. They had to sell poses in front of the judges.. with own clothes and another with fireman helmet & boots for the edge look. Gina again lost in her own world. Judges think Mollie Sue still lack the fire, Sara was a bit off, Jade getting better and Brooke not really there yet. After some discussion, time to pick the names. 1st name called - Furonda! Then Joenie, Danielle, Leslie, Jade, Mollie Sue, Sara, Nnenna.. Last two was Brooke and Gina. B though not so good but she has the potential whereas G takes good photos but her insecurity is a big liability. And so predictably, Gina goes home.. after giving a goodbye hug to Jade.

Congrats to Hady Mirza (70% votes) who was crowned The Singapore Idol. [hady-winner] He was vocally more superior than Jonathan Leong who at times like to pick some crappy songs throughout the season. At least the final two this time was more appealing and had better standards rather than last season's two jokers who wants to be the clone of Usher & Steven Tyler but looked/sounded wrong in many ways. Electrico is a waste of TV time being there. Tanya Chua is a good guest performer and she still got the vocals. Funny thing about the new Idol song "You Give Me Wings", written for the final two is that it reminded me of a very familiar tune. After some thought and research, they indeed ripped the chorus melody from Cathy Dennis!! Her song is 'Too Many Walls'. How's that for originality? Word has it that there will not be Season 3 after not-so-good ratings together with having some pathetic vocal talents in the top 12. It is after all, a popularity contest. The winner this year is a million times more worthy. A better representative for the nation.

A young man is questioning the work of an elder.. Brandon Flowers has told Thom Yorke to go back to writing "pop songs". Flowers has been unimpressed by Yorke's move into more experimental music in past years, because he thinks he's wasting his gift for writing popular songs. He tells The Observer, "He should feel grateful that's he's (been) given the gift to write pop songs - which he needs to write again!" Brandon should shut it before Thom tells the world not to buy or listen to Sam's Town. Then life won't look so brightside for them anymore in Las Vegas.
