Ride A White Horse

Utada Hikaru is set to unleash her enigmatic fusion of alternative, pop, dance and funk grooves in the UK. Her new album release, 'Exodus' was supposed to be released on Sept 26th but has been delayed till this month. The first single is 'You Make Me Want To Be A Man'. The album is worth picking up for the tracks 'Devil Inside', 'The Workout' & 'Kremlin Dusk'. This lady has beautiful vocals.

Hey! Rollover DJ! For those who wonder what had happened to those hairy Aussie boys of Jet, they are currently hard at work on their second album. Apparently their follow-up to Get Born will knock us for six in March 2006. "We're just taking our time and making sure it's five times better than the first one," said the guitarist, Nic Cester. Drummer Chris Cester, added: "It's definitely not Get Born, it's a completely different record. It's in a lot of ways more mature." Jet currently have 20 songs in the mix and will be be recording with producer Dave Sardy in Los Angeles. Ok. Hate it when they release an album, after 2 or 3 months later, re-release the same album with a few additional songs or comes with a vcd. That ain't cool at all. At least now I've learnt a good lesson. Wait patiently before purchasing a 'Jet' album. Not really the type of rock n roll I'm into but thanks to 'Timothy' and 'Look What You've Done' which I guessed was gonna be a single waay before anyone knew who the hell they were, felt a sense of injustice to leave the shop without the cd. Must restrain - like towards a 'cold hard bitch' next March.

Controversial rocker Pete Doherty's band Babyshambles have been axed from an Icelandic music festival in the wake of his on/off girlfriend Kate Moss's cocaine scandal. A spokesman for the event says: "Due to the current situation the Iceland Airwaves festival management has decided to cancel Babyshambles' scheduled performance on the festival." Wonder what those hooligansone Iceland indie fans thought about this?

Madness are flattered that their music style has been replicated 20 years on by The Ordinary Boys. The album 'Brassbound' emulated the Madness brassy ska style and was branded 'Madness-like' by many critics. Fortunately Madness don't see it as a rip-off by more like a tribute and they are happy for them. Drummer Dan Woodgate said: "Bloody hell, that was blatant. What a compliment." Don't see anything wrong expressing interest in the Madness veins. If it's good, people will be impressed. Maybe Brassbound gang might get xmas party invites to the 'house of fun' of the enjoyable 70s ska pioneers.

A scheduled "January 24 2006" Juicebox logo. Now, almost the whole indie community has heard the audaciously thumping out-of-this-world appetizing juicy song. That leads to the band placing an online stream on the official site. I think it is great that they are heading into a new dimension. Some peeps aren't too happy about this direction but you cannot say it sound 'similar' to anything you've heard before. After analyzing the lyrics, individual instrument contribution, song structure and arrangements, it's just too fookin brilliant to put into words. Nikolai's basslines are gonna hunt me brain on every waking day. That's the beauty of new yooork city gang..

Franz Ferdinand look set to release a double DVD delight this November 14, just one month after their second record hits the shelves and our stereos. One disc will feature live performances from all over the globe, while the second disc includes live sessions from London's Brixton Academy and San Francisco.

Westlife's new single You Raise Me Up clip. To be released on 24th Oct. In Randy's words - "I think it's aiiight".

Goldfrapp's Number 1 new video!! The single will be released on 31st Oct. A very funny and interesting concept eh?

Jessica Simpson's next album, titled 'And The Band Played On', will be released on Nov 2005. It has been described as having "a little bit of everything in it". Information has it that the lead single off the album will be "Fired Up", a song written by Simpson and Scott Storch, whom described the song as Jessica's "Dirrty." As of late July 2005 there were rumors that a song was produced by none other than Lil' Jon for her album which would signify her transition from ballads to more danceable pop, which she is not as known for. Erm..I hope she returns to her 'irresistable' and 'a little bit' sounds as that is what made me start listening to her songs. Don't try to mimic the crooners(eg. Nancy Sinatra) or Robb's songs anymore. What is hilarious are the ongoing battles to dismiss claims that Nick is divorcing her. Why play into the paparazzi's hands? That is definitely 'the sweetest sin'.

Esquire magazine has named Jessica Biel the Sexiest Woman Alive. Esquire says Biel is an "underground icon to the generation of men who are coming of age now." Esquire's editor in chief says Biel is "talented and about to burst onto the scene." She's in the movie "Elizabethtown" that comes out on October 14. The magazine also picked the hottest women of their generation. Gong Li represents the 30-somethings, Sharon Stone the 40-somethings and Rene Russo the 50-somethings. They made a good choice awarding Miss Biel and it doesn't surprise moi at all. She is one underrated talent that is being overshadowed by another Jessica(eeeewww!) from the fantastic four show. No problems about the rest except the 40-somethings category. Why is Kutcher's new wife being ignored? Stone-y is just ordinary compared to Demi.

---- Ever notice that Kasabian's Tom Meighan is a dead ringer for Ewan McGregor? ----

The Kaiser Chiefs will release 'Modern Way' on 7th Nov. It will be the final single from their 'Employment' album. The video shoot was held last week before they left for US dates with the Foos & Weezer. They claimed it's a gem and favourite video so far, using their own script this time. Cool. This is one of the stronger songs, slightly slower than the previous singles but has a more groovy feeling about it.

Girls Aloud 'Biology' probably sounds like Goldfrapp's Satin Chic - it's got that Chas and Dave type piano thing going on in the verses. They played it on a local radio station, and someone on the GA board heard it. The chorus apparently goes something like this...
"The way that you talk, the way that you walk, it's in your biology"
Hmm...sure to be a huuuuge aloud blast hit.

The Girls Aloud documentary will be shown on ITV2 this month. Cameras follow the girls both on and off stage during a whirlwind six months as they play their first national tour, release a summer single and record their third album. In between band engagements, Cheryl returns to Newcastle to collect her dream car, Sarah gives a guided tour of her native Stockport, Nicola goes camping with her family in Devon, Kimberley goes back to her old waitressing job and Nadine has the folks over from Ireland. Damn cool manz. Hopefully some kind souls would tape it down.. I wanna to see 'the show'. That special something, that they are hunting, they're always wanting, more and more..

Red and White Alert!! Jack and Karen Elson are happily expecting their first child. The Blue Orchid frontman, who is notoriously secretive, made the announcement to his family last weekend in Michigan. Wow! Karen need not feel worried about him visiting Renee now. They are just good buddies. The offspring should be around May-June time i guess. Betting firms can start collecting bids for a daughter by the name of 'Jolene'...
