Three L.A. County Sheriff's Department employees gave special treatment to actor/director Mel Gibson during his DUI arrest last year. They employees failed to follow proper procedures during the actor's arrest and tried to withhold details of the arrest report. One received a two-day suspension, while the others received written warnings. "The violations resulted from the decision about when and how to release Mr. Gibson from custody," the OIR says.

Steven Tyler has been questioned by police in Florida after his girlfriend Erin Brady was involved in a nightclub brawl. Remi Nicole has claimed that the tabloid press treats Amy Winehouse in an "evil" manner. Not cool. The future of 007 will forsee Daniel Craig being involved in the next four more movies. He was originally contracted to do three movies but after the success of Casino Royale his contract has been extended. Craig was a controversial choice when he was unveiled. Many were critical of the choice and fans threatened to boycott the film. However Casino Royale broke records grossing almost $600 million. Craig's new contract will put him just one film behind Sean Connery, who starred on six occasions, and two behind Roger Moore.

'The Exorcist' has been named the scariest film of all time, while the top horror villain was Hannibal Lector. A poll of more than 5,000 film fans found one in five were most frightened by 'The Exorcist', followed by the 'Saw' series and 'The Shining'. Other films in the top ten included 'The Omen', 'Jaws' and 'The Blair Witch Project'. More than a third named Hannibal Lector in 'The Silence of the Lambs' as the top horror villain. Fans voted the theme from 'Jaws' as the scariest horror music.
